Ha! Blade's my favorite comic book, and I'm up to book 5. I love it because it's not a typical samurai story because no one is a typical samurai (heh). Manji can be termed as a ruruoni (wanderer) but he is what is generally recognized as a ronin (masterless samurai). Of course, most ronin lose their masters (daimyo) in war, not like Manji who killed his daimyo (another heh). Keep reading it, it gets better and better.

To answer your questions Mikoid:
- You can buy it (in TPB or single issue form) from most fine purveyors of comics.
- Yes it is in English, translated by Studio Proteus and published by Dark Horse Comics.
- As for what it's about... kinda hard to encapsulate the story, but in a nusthell, Manji (our protagonist) is a honorless ronin, one of the best sword fighters in Japan, and cursed with immortality until he kills one thousand evil men. Blade of the Immortal makes Ruruoni Kenshin look like a parade of big eyed weenies! (although I enjoy Kenshin as well).

I have deliberately stayed away from Blade Of The Immortal. Because I know my wallet would be sucked dry. Waaaaah! Ito pa naman ang gusto kong genre!
