The reality is this, there is not enough job opportunities for HR grads/practitioners unless you gather enough experience as an HR assistant in a certain company. But don't be disappointed. Some of us HR grads usually deviate from our courses but we usually apply the same theories we learned as we work our way to middle management.
Just try every opportunity that comes your way, beggars can't be choosers in this day and age when you thought things could get better when you graduate. Fact is, we're all part of statistics. ;)

Here's one heads up for you, GRAB AS MANY OPPORTUNITIES AS YOU CAN through the classifieds. It's no use asking help here from other HR grads because some of them are in the same boat. Out here in the real world, you do extra-ordinary things just to get the job/position. If not, you tap the entreprenuer in you and start your own by asking relatives for a loan for small businesses, increase your network through other means. One particular HR grad is working in San Miguel and one other HR grad is in the HSBC call center in Alabang. So don't be disappointed bro, there is dignity in labor, even if its not the job that you wanted. ;)

Hey Mr. Moderator. I'm new here! Hi!
I like your opinion, very sensible and encouraging. I am a fresh HR grad. I am hard up looking for a job that I want. Honestly, I have few target companies and I have applied to them. But how can they entertain me if they do not have vacancy? I've been idle for few months. I think HR is in demand in call center industry - recruitment. But I dont want recruitment!

Enrich yourself by taking up short courses and improving your resume. If you don't have the time and money for that, try your best to look deeper in the classifieds section. If not then you will have to think very hard about Recruitment. Like I said before, beggars can't be choosers when we all know that career opportunities are limited. Unless you have the money to work beyond the country then you will have a hard time looking for the perfect job. ;)

i got first into headhunting, after a while i hated it, i hated recruitment. then i realized, i hated recruitment because i wasnt getting the most out of it, i was just doing a part of it since i was just doing headhunting. so now, im open for some hardcore recruitment stuff, haha, id like to experience the whole recruitment process.
