Ok ba dito? O baka may kakilala kayo.

Nakareceive kasi ako ng letter from ABB, invitation na mag-apply sa kanila & may isang position na available.

Well, I did not respond yet to the invitation. Wala pa naman akong plano mag-work dahil nagpe-prepare pa ako for the board exam.

I heard maganda rin sweldo & benefits dito.

Now, compared with Azeus & HP, ok din kaya ang training, sweldo & benefits dito sa ABB?

Thanks in advance sa mga magrereply!:D

Hmmm, is this the Asea Brown Boveri ABB?
If it is, it holds "the" largest share in the world in terms of the electrical product market.
Pero I heard from multiple resources that it is not one of the best company in terms of compensation, as compared to it's competitors.
One of them even stated bluntly that "ABB is fond of hiring average employees for lower salaries like how someone would buy a low quality made in china product dahil mura".
HP and Azeus would be very good kung graduate ka ng degree related to IT, which is probably not if you'd be taking the board exam. Though I have friends, both engineering grads, who works for HP as IT consultants and is currently earning a good amount.
Both companies give a large factor to the applicant's qualifications in determining the starting salary. Such that hindi pantay-pantay ang sweldo kahit magkapareho ang job grade

I don't actually know the meaning of ABB pero eto yung Philippine site nila: ABB Philippines (http://www.abb.ph/cawp/phabb902/ade2c3c53faa95de482568f00028b2fe.aspx?v=B8E&leftdb=GLOBAL/PHABB/PHABB902.NSF&e=us&leftmi=1b0fd62ee2d789c5c1256916003110cf).

ECE graduate po ako. Yun nga rin po iniisip ko eh. Since ECE ako & not IT (& yung Data Comms subject namin eh sobrang layo sa Data Comms ng mga ComSci grads), malaki talaga ang advantage sakin ng mga IT grads. Pero I have ways naman to supplement yung mga kakulangan ko & alam kong matututo naman ako. Besides, HP doesn't really care kung ECE ako, sabi nung manager na nag-interview sakin, & nagha-hire nga sila miski CE graduates eh. Hehe.

:glee: Plus yung madugong review pa for the board exam. Hehe.:D Pero I have to know kung ok ba ang sweldo dito. Hehehe.:D

Tsaka sobrang mahirap kaya ang trabaho dito? Baka kasi kung mababa sweldo dito... naku... ayoko namang overworked, underpaid. Nag-Saudi na lang sana ako. (Joke!)

Anyway, thanks, HLecter. And again, thanks in advance sa iba pang magrereply.:D

If it's Asea Brown Boveri and then ito yung nagmamanufacture ng circuit breakers and transformers. :)

ABB is involved with a wide range of products. Yes they manufacture but their office here in the Philippines is involved only with sales and projects I believe.
It is a multinational company, the biggest in the world in its field (much larger than General Electric), and it's product scope is not only concentrated with CBs and transformers.
Lahat from LV to HV meron sila, with products for industrial automation (PLCs, sensors, SCADA etc), Power Systems (Transformers, CBs as you said) and MANY more, I could not emphasize more kung gano kalaki ang company na ito.
The board exam is not a complete waste if you plan on pursuing a career in HP. Like I said, the starting salary is proportional to your qualifications.
Yung dalawa kong kaibigan sa HP are both board topnotchers. Considering how much they are earning now and the difference in their starting salary (the one with the higher rating got 4K more, same position), I believe that a big factor was given to their board ratings.
