Most Hated (so far... i forgot yung iba) Animé!!!
Fushigi Yuugi( I can't believe i recorded the whole series on AXN!?! )
all kiddie animés esp ones w/c involves round objects like mojacko and doraemon (although i have to admit it's a classic!)
Rurouni Kenshin (don't ask me why!?! i have the same reasons as that of Pandaemonaeon)
DragonBall Z (nakakasawa na sya!?! :boom: )
PS: to those who hate Now and Then, Here and There... THAT IS SO UNTRUE!?! i think it's really cool... the whole show reminded me of the classic novel "Lord of the Flies"... and besides, it's nice to watch provocative, suspenseful and unique storylines every now and then... same goes to Akira (although i have to admit the artwork needs major improvement!) nakakasawa din naman ding manood ng mga "samurai-slashing", "boy-and-girl-kissing" and "punch-here-punch-there" animés, no!?!

Fushigi Yuugi. I loved the start but then the Miaka and Tamahome scenes and gimmicks were just too much. Now I just watch the anime for fun and not for intellectual stimulation. No, wait. I don't watch that anime anymore at all.
Tombstone for Fireflies. Because it made me cry. Dammit. :)
Voltes V and Daimos, not because the plot stank. I'm giving it leeway since it was in the '70s. But GMA ruined tested my patience to the point that I couldn't take it anymore and I just had to hate the anime with a vengeance. *shrug*
Rurouni Kenshin, but just the unnecessary fillers. Other than that it was worth the tapes.
Weiss Kreuz!! Dang this anime needed a lot of help. If it weren't for the good soundtracks I won't even give this anime a glance nor an ear.

Popularity never was equated with likability.
But I have to admit that my brother and I was very surprised when we saw that several people don't like Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X. (From other threads, it was quite obvious that the verdict was RK *is* the numero uno.)Was it because of the brainless filler episodes? I'm hoping that that's the answer.
There's only one anime I don't like, err... correction, I DESPISE, and that's Fushigi Yuugi. I actually believed it was going to be a great and fantastic series when I first saw it, but down the middle of the road, I got fed up with too much Miaka-Tamahome-crying-crying-sex-sex-kiss-kiss scenes. Kisses and professions of undying love happened every two minutes! Not to mention that the fight scenes were ludicrous.
The plot's another story, though. IMHO, it had plenty of potential. Unfortunately, the series had to screw itself just because it thought that its audience lacked taste and a certain muscle called brain.

Sailormoon
- the shougo equivalent of DBZ, which makes it even worse than DBZ. The fact that the evil company Toei made it doesn't help it's case. Repetitive storylines, crappy fillers, massive differences from it's manga counterpart... the list goes on and on.
Rurouni Kenshin
- my dislike for the anime version only goes to all the episodes after the Kyoto Kessen arc, which really suck.
El Hazard
- no Ifurita for the entire series, which automatically makes it crappy.
Legend of Black Heaven/Oji the Section Chief
- the concept was interesting at first, but like Fushihi Yuugi, it got crappy as each episode went by.

to those who dislike RK, please, tell me yer reasons! Well aside from the "un-niftyness" of all the episodes that came after the Kyoto arc (i.e. Shishi-o's tale), what other reasons do you have? Nuthin, just a bit surprised, that's all.

Filler or no filler - the series flat out suck. The plots are recycled from vintage Nintendo videogames and fight scene's that you clearly know who's going to win and what's going to happen. During the Shishio/Kenshin fight scene, I knew that Kenshin was still alive...it's too predictable and cheesy as well - getting up at the exact time everyone's been pulverized to a bloody pulp.
Also, the characters are ironically - marketable. Let's see here: we have the "soft" hero who doesn't want to kill anyone and accomplishes that little miracle by any means necessary (including risking his own life), we have the typical bad-*** tomboyish female wielding a kendo stick (to entice girl viewers) but for some reason loses her "cutting edge" fighting skills in every single kidnap attempt every 5 episodes, we have the sidekick who's got the intellectual reasoning of a revolving tape deck and doesn't serve any purpose at all besides brawling, we have the Mister X type character that has a shady past and is currently embroiled with a vicious feud with Mr. Hero...and super villains that are as dangerous as a sheated pro-shiatsu knife.
There's only one anime I don't like, err... correction, I DESPISE, and that's Fushigi Yuugi. I still believe RK failed because of the unnecessary fillers. Kenshin, although if you take his character JUST literally you will not be able to see how complex his character is. As cliche-ic some of his struggles in life are, that is the very essence on why he is the main character. He was one of the people who fought, killed and destroyed for the sake of the Meiji restoration that some people, including those who are dear to him, hate more than anything. His personal struggles and questionings of how his life is moving is what moves the anime. Rarely do we see a main character in anime who is as real and complicated as Kenshin. True, his fight scenes are overly predictable because we all know either way he will win, but let's not forget that it is only the endof the fight that is predictable. I can count the many people who were hanging on the edges of their seats during the Saitou vs. Kenshin fight--believe me, these people know that Kenshin will win in the end. But the intensity and overall presentation of the fight scene, along with the choreographed moves and the history underlying their need to fight each other is what made the fight scene memorable even though the winner is obviously decided. People watch a fight scene not to know who the winner is, it is to simply enjoy something that is visually appealing.
From what I can read, your analysis doesn't really coincide with your thesis statement. You say the characters are marketable, but your analysis is proving the fact that the characters have been used before in other series. Perhaps the more correct term is "cliche-ic or common". Anime series, no matter how intellectual or for the elite it is, has to have marketable qualities. Or else it will not sell. Isn't gathering an audience an important factor in an anime's life span? We have to be realistic, I think. No form of entertainment can exist without a target market.
Actually, I am one of the annoyed feminist (almost) viewers who are hoping beyond hope that Kaoru will go back to her kendo-wielding self. The only thing making her non-cliche-ic is the idea that she can defend herself when she can and needs to.
BTW, I just watched another episode of Weiss Kreuz. Dang, the art of this anime really needs help.

Dang, the quote-thing isn't working right now. I wonder why.
Anyway, about that issue on predictability and marketability of RK, I couldn't have said it any better, Ice Angel. And just to add to that, we watch fight scenes mainly because of entertainment pleasure, not to sharpen our intellect. If that were the case, then stop watching anime and look for a fight yourself. At least you're not sure who's going to win. :D Yech, even in sports, there's a modicum of predictability. :)

Really funny, though, how so many people like it, despite the face that it's boring, the art it a bit below par, the heroine is annoying, the fight scenes are repetitive (literally!), on and on. Oh that Kenshin, what a saint!

I can count the many people who were hanging on the edges of their seats during the Saitou vs. Kenshin fight--believe me, these people know that Kenshin will win in the end.
Of course you can't predict a whole fight blow by blow. It's like wrestling. You know who's going to win (spoiler or no spoiler) but do you know how the match is going to move? Do you know who's going to take the first blow? Do you know who's going to pick up a styrofoam guitar and bash someone over the head? No, the same with Rurouni Kenshin.
But if I we're to bet my money on who's going to win Triple H or Al Snow, of course Triple H is going to win...he doesn't even have an unlimited blood supply for a man who always takes blade jobs. Same with Rurouni Kenshin: who's going to win Kenshin or Shishio? Of course, Kenshin he's the goddamn superhero who fought, killed and destroyed for the sake of the Meiji restoration that some people, including those who are dear to him, hate more than anything. His personal struggles and questionings of how his life is moving is what "slows" the anime.
But the intensity and overall presentation of the fight scene, along with the choreographed moves and the history underlying their need to fight each other is what made the fight scene memorable even though the winner is obviously decided. People watch a fight scene not to know who the winner is, it is to simply enjoy something that is visually appealing.
Is it "visually appealing" to watch fight scene's that features a redheaded slasher being sliced and diced slowly into fajitta meat and obviously losing gallons of blood (as shown in the Saitou "Fountain of Death" scene) and for some reason, is still able to pull off "visually appealing" moves? It's not "visually appealing", it's "visually retarded".

Fushigi would've had a cool story if they add more action and less "musshy" stuff
now and then, here and there has a different kind of story that you wouldn't expected to happen. you don't see some of the kids being recruited to slaughter people. it is somehow a serious type of anime.
Still I disagree on some who dislikes RK. But that's the way it is like i have said earlier.

However (again), its not the popularity of the anime that makes me love it, or hate it. Because I think, popularity of an anime is based on the fans, it has nothing to do with the anime itself.

Where did you get that idea??? Gundam Wing may be popular, but its definitely not the most succesful. If you read that notion came from an American, I won't be surprised--Gundam Wing has taken America by storm. And believe me, its not because of the good fight scenes and philosophizing. Did you bother to check out Anipike's list of Gundam websites? A few years ago, there are only a few character-shrines there and more collective sites on the series, but now, there's an explosion of shrines to Heero and Duo, and surprise surprise, its not yaoi. ^_^

People gave mixed reactions over this, but Macross Plus was a real visual treat. The story wasn't half bad either. Pero syempre, panoorin muna yung original, Macross SDF-1. I assume the movie that you've been seeing is 'Macross: Do You Remember Love?' with the Zentradi and the, uh, Meshmoddi looking for protoculture. If you're looking for copies of other tapes, try those stores that accept order placements (CATS in VirraMall) or if you just want to borrow, try a rental store. Anime rental stores are really hard to come by though. The store nearest my house just closed down :( The only rental shop I know of now is in University Mall.

Over the series in general. I remember during ROTC they used to talk about it to no end...and giving specualtions whether or not Yui was raped, blah blah :)

It's also how it's publicized/marketed. Were you following the Disney release of Studio Ghilbi's Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke)? If you didn't, then you probably didn't know that Disney has been aquiring rights to one of the best movies anime has to offer: Miyazaki films. Man, what a waste. No trailers, no commercials, just ONE poster in movie theaters to make the public aware of its existance. Critics who watched the movie though (including the surviving member of Siskel & Ebert, forgot who) loved it. The only thing they hated about the Disney release was the poor, forced dubbing (score one for sub fans :D). IIRC, nearly only 250,000 or less got to see the movie. I wish they released it here so that I could watch it on the big screen but I think Disney advertised it poorly on purpose. There's a whole conspiracy theory about Disney buying out competition (anime) and doing such a piss-poor job of advertising it so that no one watches the films and then dismisses them as flops. (well-founded, btw, not like the Harry Potter promoting Satanism myth) Have you seen websites that display Disney's atrocities (real)? Quite interesting.
I guess "crotch-wrenching" characters are good ratings grabber, aye?
Ayuh.
Did you bother to check out Anipike's list of Gundam websites? A few years ago, there are only a few character-shrines there and more collective sites on the series, but now, there's an explosion of shrines to Heero and Duo, and surprise surprise, its not yaoi. ^_^
There are plenty of GW yaoi sites out there. Most doujinshis about GW feature sex. GW fans in the Philippines can't possibly appriciate GW for its story because it was dubbed in Filipino. I hate dubs in English, the story is somehow lost in the translation. I don't mean lost in the sense that you can't follow the plot, I mean 'lost' because most of the original intent is altered, and the impact of most mono/dia/louges are softened. Ninja Scroll, for instance. In the subbed version, Jubei was a cool, mysterious ronin. In the dub, he sounded like a simpering wimp. Lalo na sa Filipino kaya! Ang dami-daming iniiba na lines, pati storya minsan iniiba! Kaya 'di ako nanood ng Gundam Wing.

Lupin - funny sana kaso pangit lang talaga ng animation
Grander Musashi - if you watch it, i assure you, you will know why i hate this trash of a cartoon.
Some of the anime shown by GMA7(except trigun) - ang baduy lang talaga...at ang masama pa dun tagalized, which actually worsens the already bad animes.

uh, SAILORMOON??? what's with them anyway? i used to love it before. CARAMBA!!! now i know why: it's meant to be appreciated by KIDS only!!!
burn up excess!!! anak ng... talk about the "boobs" marketing strategies... alang point yung kuwento... :grrr:
magic knight rayearth. anak ng... bakit magkaiba kuwento ng series, ova at manga??? what's their problem?
teaser ovas that did nothing but taint the beauty of the manga:
1.) gestalt - anak ng... did you guys know that the manga centered more on the QUEST (finding the truth behind G's banishment) and not the relationship between Oliver and Ori??? :p
2.) twin signal - ano yun??? yun lang? there is soooo much more complexity sa manga (meaning more info and dark characters) kesa sa 1-hour episode where signal did nothing but pacute and pa-tweetums!!!
on your negative thoughts about kenshin:
i like ovas 1-4. i'm a rk lover, but frankly, the ovas weigh A WHOLE LOT MORE than the FREAKINGLY LONG tv series!!!
and i like kenshin as battousai more. one he is more fashionable! (the freakin' pink/fuchsia getup makes me think of a pink motif on a wedding. nakakairita...)
BUT THE MAIN REASON WHY I'M NOT COMFORTABLE WITH RK THE SERIES IS BECAUSE OF KAORU KAMIYA. :grrr: anak ng... daig pang nanay ni kenshin, period. just because she lets him live at the dojo does not mean she has the right to order him around and even choose who he should befriend!!! many people see her as a strong woman, but not me. she's a wimpy, insecure and immature girl who thinks she can run people's lives (like Relena Peacecraft sa Gundam Wing) and compulsively asserts how things should be or should be done without considering factors like the feasibility of a solution to the political, cultural situation/setting.
ANOTHER is, yes, the FILLERS. goodness!!! the pipol before me said it all. the few episodes right after the shishio arc reminds me of a cheesy summer escapade!!!
kenshin always winning? according to our hero, he's not sure if what he did was best or right for the country (after the shishio encounter). at least he admitted it! hehe...
frankly, the fact that kenshin forgot about himself totally in the series frustrated me. several times when he was about to find his true self, his damsels in distress (a.k.a. the whole kenshingumi) remind him that his duty is to "protect the people that i care about." think about this point. his SELFLESSNESS can be confusing sometimes. it made him SOOOO inhuman. personally, it's uncomfortable to relate to a peronality like that.
so there... :)

Actually, you're wrong, Kaoru has all the right to order Kenshin around. In Japanese culture, he is basically relying on the good graces of his host. Did you watch Grave of The Fireflies? Even their own relations exact some price for 'freeloading'. Of course, that doesn't speak much of Kaoru's intelligence...

enough of the "ordering-around" issue... Kaoru Kamiya for me really destroyed RK viewing!!! she's so damn irritating, repulsive and bossy... and she's overly obsessed w/ Kenshin... I'D ****!!! ok, so she's in-love... but that doesn't give her the right to dictate Kenshin's life!?! Tomoe (Kenshin's wife) was open to the reality that Kenshin is Battousai yet she never forced him to leave his persona... she allowed him to grow and realize *** life is without bloodshed in his own pace. her death is enough to prove how much she loved him... now that's why i think the series SUCK and the OAV RULES

Tanis_Half-Elf: Medyo mahaba yung mga comments mo directed to me so I won't quote it anymore. Anyway, thanks for the advice on Macross. I think I remember seeing a place in the University Mall with some Macross other than the one with the SDF-1 and protoculture. I'll check it out sometime.
Over the series in general. I remember during ROTC they used to talk about it to no end...and giving specualtions whether or not Yui was raped, blah blah
Thank God! I thought for a moment that they were drooling over the nonexistent fight scenes or something. ^_^
About the way Disney marketed Mononoke Hime, I know what you mean, I've been following it myself. I'm not aware of the conspiracy though. That's so sad to hear, considering that Mononoke Hime was a very good anime movie and it could influence the breakthrough of anime in the United States. No wonder only a few people are aware of it even though it is so critically-acclaimed.
There are plenty of GW yaoi sites out there. Most doujinshis about GW feature sex. GW fans in the Philippines can't possibly appriciate GW for its story because it was dubbed in Filipino. I once had a really long argument (not a fight, but an argument) in where people disagreed with my belief that the GMA dubbed version of Gundam Wing was ok. I agree, they completely changed the story when they dubbed it but the vocal quality, in my humble opinion, is still good. These days I can't rely anymore on dubbed versions to really accurately translate the anime for there are so many other factors to worry about, like if the words used matches the mouth movements of the characters. Tsk tsk.
and i like kenshin as battousai more. one he is more fashionable! (the freakin' pink/fuchsia getup makes me think of a pink motif on a wedding. nakakairita...)
I agree, Battousai has a better color of gi than Kenshin, and I love the way his hair is styled, it really gives him a menacing look but it doesn't really hide his inner torture, which I absolutely like! Kenshin is ok, I guess. I'll let the ugly choice of gi pass, he is a poor rurouni, after all. :)
kenshin always winning? according to our hero, he's not sure if what he did was best or right for the country (after the shishio encounter). at least he admitted it! hehe...
If you look at in a bipolar and very black and white manner, yes, he always wins. ^_^

ice: he did promise. but it's kinda confusing that he tries soooo much to suppress an important part of him for the sake of others. what makes him special is that HE USED TO BE BATTOUSAI. i doubt it if he would have become the man that he is if he remained as shinta. not to mention that kaoru is contributing to this "supression." honestly i like kenshin-tomoe tandem more. they're themselves that's all i can say. :nerd: READ MY WORDS PIPOL: WATCH THE FIRST FOUR OVAS AND PREPARE TO BE BLOWN AWAY!!!

Kamotejojo: I did watch the OAV 1-4 already and I was blown away by everything I've watched. I can clearly conclude that no one can really understand the inner torture Kenshin faces everytime he has to fight someone if they haven't watched what he had to endure as Battousai. However... don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Kenshin and Tomoe were not a great tandem. But Tomoe striked me as a tragic character who made Battousai into Kenshin, and Kaoru helps retain that Kenshin, which Kenshin wants clearly to be. Hmm. Maybe its safe for me to say that Kenshin is lucky to have had a chance to be with them both. ^_^
Anyway, we're dwelling away from the topic here. ^_^ Anyway to Cookie_Mobster: Yup, I watched Time Quest. But I didn't really follow it. It was cute and fun to watch but not really memorable, although I don't necessarily hate it. :)

I'm addicted to cartoons and anime. I can't think of any anime that I hate...hmm...all are daring compared to American animation. As far as dubs, they're ok. In fact, I like them. They're done pretty much within acceptable quality. I saw an original Japanese Dragonball Z episode--Cell's defeat--and I can't stomach their voices. Grabe, ang taas ng boses ni Piccolo pati si Krillin saka si Goku! Hehe..'di bagay! :)

2. Dragonball Z - Kakasawa! When it was played all over again, my brother and i were like, "Urggghh"! :P
3. SailorMoon - I loved it but anyway, the storyline is predictable! Una muna na story ay about ke SailorMoon, then and next episode ay kay SailorMercury, then kay Mars, then kapag naifeature na silang lahat e tsaka lang magkakaroon ng exciting episode.

Fushigi Yuugi: Miaka, Tama-watshisname, and the blonde girl should just die. i hate when they make all these loop holes so they can be together. "oh no! we can't be together!" "No wait! we can!" "no! we can't!" "Yes..." AAGHH!!! All the men are cross dressers for crying out loud!
Grander Musashi: how did the power of atlantis turn into fishing lures?
SailorMoon: it just got too monotonous
Rurouni Kenshin: after the Shishio Arc... it sank like a brick. Plus, the English script screwed up the plot. And AXN is still using that stupid script! whats the point of making it subtitled then!?! But don't get me wrong RK is one of my favorites...
Pokemon/Digimon: Pokemon is just too "americanized" for me. Digimon, anorexia anyone?
Turn A Gundam: i still refuse to believe that that monstrosity is a Gundam.
------
anyway, regarding Now and Then, Here and There. i like that one. it's so screwed up. it's mature storyline is a welcome change from.. oh... let's say... fushigi yuugi. it's plot is somewhat unpredictable. i'm still shocked that Sara was actually raped. not like some girl who had some "mystical forcefield" to protect her.

1. Tenchi Muyo- This series is the crappiest of them all! The story is not really going anywhere. I could say pokemon and digimon have more violence than this crap. The character designs look stupid. And what stupidity the show really has is a rabbit turning into a spaceship.
2. Remi, Sarah, Cedie, Charlotte, Heidi, Tom sawyer and other old anime- the main reason why this crap is shown on tv because it is sold cheap to the tv stations. The drawing is horrible, the stories are not original and some of them like Heidi are nothing but a piece of $h*t.
3. Lupin- Yes it’s that no good thief who does not really give a damn about anything but stealing. There is no story nor character development (well, except for zenigata) The stories are repetitive and lupin seems to be stupid and always gets fooled by fujiko.
4. Sailor moon- Sailor moon or any member of the sailor scouts meets a friend, the friend is somewhat has a problem, the friend gets victimized by the enemy, the sailor scouts beat the enemy, the friend’s problem is solved and they never get to see the friend again.
5. Grander Musashi- this is about fishing, Right?
6. Wedding peach – A sailor moon rip off which the characters wear wedding gowns
7. Dragon Quest – an anime about two cavemen and dinosaurs shown on VTV 13 a few years back
8. Two years Vacation with dinosaurs – read the title.
The ones below should be self explanatory
9. Fushigi yuugi
10. Shadow skill
11. Blue submarine no.6
12. Cyber team in akibahara
13. monster rancher
14. now and then here and there

maganda naman yung Now and Then ah.... who would ever expect someone would be raped in an Anime? napaka-human ng kwento, unlike the robot-saves-the-world genre most anime peeps produce (except EVA, this one is too good).
Blue Sub = sayang, maganda pa naman ng drawing,
bitin ako eh.
Sailor & DBZ = di pa ba kayo sawa?
Musashi = ok, so you got a glowing, flying bait with a
very long name and it will help you catch the
most sought-after fish in the pond.... SO?!
Cooking Boy = fine, so you can slice and dice faster
than throwing a cucumber in a jet
engine's propeller..... SO!?
Oji section Chief = a band that can play a senseless piece of
music (i would not even consider calling it
heavy metal) IS the only thing that can save
a universe... what a story... can u believe it?!
Bubblegum = lang kwenta story
and lahat ng mga over-sa-pacute na GMA animes like poke, digi, etc.... pati na rin yung cyberteam ek ek....

1. Fushigi Yuugi!!! Shucks, Miyaka is a good-for-nothing damsel in distress who does nothing but wail "Tamahome!!" Wala na lang ginawa kundi isipin ang lalakeng yun!! Dapat di na ibalik sa TV yun.
2. Wedding Peach - parang ginagaya si Sailor Moon. Grabe, pa-gown-gown pa sila!!
3. Digimon - ginagaya Pokemon (medyo corny din).
And anything else with sobrang pa-cute (except Akazukin Chacha di naman ganun ka-corny yun eh), kikay and those pathetic love stories (namely FY, I really hate it except the theme song. Okay naman, catchy).
Sa mga galit kay Lupin III and Detective Conan, di naman sila bulok eh! Lupin (although more than 30 years na) is very popular in Europe. Detective Conan is okay. Sorry if I like gangsters, detectives and thieves. It's better than a damsel in distress, you know.

First of all IMHO these three animes were a great disappointment to me.
1. Macross 7 - I got tired of the "Music will save the world" thing.
2. Ghost in the Shell - I would've liked it if I could manage to stay awake to finish the whole movie
3. Oh! My Goddess Movie - Kinda dragging at the start
Now about Kaoru in RK. I kinda liked her because she was part of the comedic relief of the whole series. Some of the funniest moments in the series came between her and Kenshi. (The hot springs bath after Amakusa series).
Rayearth??? My sisters would be furious when they see this.
(They worship CLAMP men as if they were GODS).

used to hate but liked now
1. Sailor Moon (medyo matagal na)
2. Cooking master boy
3. Pokemon (game only, not the series)
4. Grander Musashi

1. What video games are you referring to?
2. Good guys always win, period. Unless you wanna watch DBZ where the heroes die, then gets resurrected for the nth time.
3. All anime characters are desgned to be marketable. Ever wonder why they all have caucasian look?

Now and then, astig yung story kung masikmura niyo yung drawing at pacing. Ang ganda talaga...
Pero for my Anime bashing, I would say...
FUSHIGI YUGI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GWAAAAARK....
Grander Musashi-what the heck is this???
Believe it or not...
DRAGONBALL Z. I hate it because they emphasize so much on Gokou. Kung tutuusin, eche pwera lang yung mga kakampi niya e. Masyadong pinalakas si gokou na siya na lang ang kayang pumatay ng mga matitinding kaaway. And what's the deal with making Klilyn the other powerful human member? Why not focus on Tenshinhan? He's way a lot cooler...

Can't say na hindi ko nagustuhan ang Shadow Skill at Now and Then... di ko pa naman sila napapanood nang diretso e. Pati Evangelion... =)

hmm.... judging from what i read from all the posts here, mukhang kilala ko na kung sino talaga dito ang mga pa-hype lang at sino'ng mga otaku talaga pagdating sa anime. :)
personally i hate the ff:
1.)digimon
- rip-off na nga ng pokemon, ang pangit pa ng pagkaka-dub; mas higit pang okay pakinggan ang mga dubbers nyan dito kung isinapilipino na lang sana nila kaysa iningles. gaano pa man nilang pilitin, their dubbing there really sucked big time compared to all their tagalized anime shows. (yes, i am talking about channel 2 here. no offense, but they sound much better in filipino than in english, in my own opinion.)
2.)sailormoon
- personally, i hate this anime simply because, in my own opinion, ang aarte ng mga bida sa anime. tapos ang pangit pa ng dubbing nito sa pilipino. lalong 'lang kwentang panoorin. nababanas lang ako sa mga ganitong klaseng palabas. (though i very much like sailor uranus there. siya lang, ha!)
3.)wedding peach
- isa pa itong anime na ito. (see #2 for reasons) ang pagkakatulad sa dalawang iyan ay parehong maaarte ang mga bida; mga pinakaayoko talaga sa mga shoujo anime. the only difference though is that kahit papaano mas okay pa ang dubbing dito sa anime na ito. still, mga wala pa rin silang kwenta. 'tsaka ang weirdo pa ng anime na ito; rip-off ng sailormoon with a twist: imbis na sailorsuits naka-trahe de boda naman. (!?!) now, that is so weird. :shakehead:
(i might as well watch super doll licca-chan, akazukin chacha, miracle girls, & sweet tales of st. tail over these two.)
4.)g gundam
- i dunno why, but i really don't appreciate this anime very much. some people like this over gundam wing, though personally, i'm more of the other way around. what i really hate about this anime is the relationship between the hero (domon yata ang pangalan) & his girlfriend (yata), raine. basta hindi sila bagay. imagine inaaway niya ang kasintahan niya. nabubwisit ako sa mga ganitong klaseng tambalan. bleakh.
5.)pygmalion
- i hate this anime, too. i saw an episode of it once kung saan nilalait ni pygmalion itong isang batang prinsesa, porke babae lang siya. DUH! i hate these kind of dialogues. masyado siyang degrading, e. lalo na sa napanood ko sa episode na iyon. man, don't you just hate chauvinists or what? (wow, tila umiiral na naman ang pagka-political correct ko. dyusko.)
6.)candy candy
- pinaka-sobra! this is by far one of the most pathetic anime shows i've ever watched. ang arte˛ ng bida rito, mukha pa siyang weak, helpless, girly˛ little flirtatous girl talaga! bwiset! naaasar ako sa mga ganitong klaseng bida. ang pangit pa ng story. way too sappy-mushy for me. sorry.
as for the other anime shows i watched on tv; okay lang so far. medyo okay pa nga 'yung iba from my point of view compared sa mga nabanggit ko dito. medyo hindi ko pa gaanong maalala 'yung mga iba pang ayaw kong anime, pero sa lahat˛ ng ayaw ko ito talaga ang mga sukdulan ng pangit para sa akin. ewan ko, kanya˛ lang sigurong taste. pero marami rin naman akong nagustuhan na palabas na anime kahit papano. 'yun lang. :cat:

i don't see anything jologs with the anime shows shown in channel 2. katunayan nga, mas marami pang anime na magaganda sa 2 kaysa sa ano pa mang channel sa local tv, e. kung ganoon pala, e 'di ibig sabihing pangit at pang-jologs din ang super doll licca-chan, akazukin cha cha, cedie, dog of flanders, miracle girls, soul hunter, el hazard, at lalong-lalo na'ng card captor sakura?!?!? lalo na't porke't dubbed silang lahat sa pilipino?!?!?
DUH!!!!
pwede ba, magpakatotoo nga kayo! it's like all you people could ever do is bash even some of the best anime shows shown on local tv just because they're dubbed in filipino. i admit, i flunk more in filipino than in english, but i somehow don't see anything wrong with all the other filipino-dubbed anime shows on local tv. (okay, some of them may quite suck, but not all of them! some of the anime shows i watched in filipino sound better compared to the others.) & i bet you even liked some of them, too. sinasabi n'yo lang yata dahil gusto n'yo lang makibagay, makiuso. c'mon, peeps; GET REAL!
tulad ng sinabi sa isang patalastas sa studio 23, wala sa wika ang pagiging jologs ng isang bagay; makikita lang iyon sa kalidad at nilalaman noon. oh well, whatever. :cat:

Okay naman yung mga dog of flanders and princess sara eh. They're based on children's classics. The reason why I watched Princess Sarah is that I loved that book by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
I was so naive when I was younger!!!
