Inu-okray at talagang inaaway ng fans ni Walton at ng ibang PI hopefuls ang fans nina JJ Jr. at Daryl Celis sa paniwalang dapat mas unang naalis ang dalawa kesa kay Walton na mas magaling daw kumanta.

Kahit ang judges na sina Ogie Alcasid at Jolina Magdangal ay hindi happy sa resulta ng text votes at naniniwala silang dapat pang manatili sa contest sina Walton at Meryl.

Kaso, nagpabaya ang fans ng dalawa, kaya maaga silang na-out, kahit belong sila sa mas magagaling sa grupo.

Wish ng fans ng dalawa’y magkaroon ng wild card para makabalik sila sa contest at matsugi ang mga hindi dapat pumasok sa Top 12.

Ipinarating pala namin kay Ogie ang maraming reklamo ng viewers sa Pinoy Idol nang makita namin siya sa presscon ng Urduja.

i think nakikinig naman sila sa mga comments natin heheh!! pero siguro nga isa isa kasi mahina ang kalaban heheh!! oo nga number 1 ang gma pero compare to abs maliit pa rin ang gma sa dami ba naman ng resources ng abs heheh!! nagbago na ng set ang showbiz central, unang hirit nagbago na rin (kaya pala ilang buwan na silang nasa labas lang ang set heheh!!) ang songbird maganda ang set ang di pa lang yata nag papalit ng set ay ang SOP, EB, Startalk at Pinoy Idol... siguro nga ibinuhos nila ang st sa pinoy idol top 12 kasi yun naman ang pinaka main stage diba di naman kasi ganun kayaman ang gma para gumawa ng bonggang bonggang 3-4 set na gagamitin lang naman ng ilang linggo heheh!! siguro nga planado na nila yan heheh!! sana next naman ay ang SOP heheh!! pero feeling ko huli ang SOP at EB na magpapalit ng SEt baka tamang opening ng ANNEX hehhe!!:)

You know what? I enjoyed the pilot ep of PDA kanina. As in. No offense, Kapusos, pero yung episode kanina sa PDA... wow. Di hamak na mas magaling ang editing/lineup/script. In short, flawless. Medyo Idol-ish na yung itsura pero in comparison with Pinoy Idol's, di hamak na mas maganda pagkaka-rip off ng ABS sa Idol franchise kaysa sa GMA.

Problema lang kay Kid kasi, siguro nahihiya pa siyang gumalaw galaw sa stages! but his voice do goo naman, maganda boses niya, kelangan lang niya ipush pa! ganon naman sa mga contest habang tumatagal ang isang Idol mas nag iimprove siya! wish ko lang may improvement na sa performance niya sa sat.! wag na siya mahiya, kung Gaano kalakas ang loob niya kanina sa LQ nila ni JJ sana ganon narin siya sa performance niya sa sat. ;)

I don't think maayos sa ABS-CBN. May hatak lang sila sa crowd pero if you observe, ang bumubuhay sa kanila is not Erik Santos (Star Records) nor Sheryn Regis (Star Records) but Sarah Geronimo (Viva Records), Mark Bautista (Viva Records) and Christian Bautista (Sony BMG).

Nung nasa GMA sina Sarah and Mark, mataas din ang kanilang drawing power.

Nagkaroon nga lang ng falling off ang Viva and GMA because of Search for a Star.

Well, one thing's for sure, Star Records produced more hits than GMA Records, not necessarily quality Filipino music, but more hits nonetheless.

Singers need to have a following for them to remain in the mainstream music industry. Star Records was able to do that to a majority of their artists. Star Records knows how to market/sell their artists to the record-buying public.

GMA Records, on the other hand, might have produced some quality albums BUT none of them really made it big in the market. Jonalyn's On My Own might have contained good songs but those songs never really reached the public.

GMA Records does not know how to market their artists. A lot of good artists signed under GMA Records have already vanished before they even began to shine. The likes of 604, Dimsum, Sipol, and Wink.

True, ABS-CBN has secured the rights of Fear Factor, but why no news? I found out about it way before GMA informed everyone that it was awarded the Survivor franchise from Mark Burnett.

Anyway, even if you are a true-blue kapusu, este kapuso, your posts sound otherwise. I am aware of the problems of GMA Artist Center and GMA Records, but considering the size and scope of Star Records, why do they still have the problems experienced by the smaller and starting off GMA Records?

Might is an overstatement.

I have high hopes for the Idol franchise. GMA admitted committing a host of errors; but they are slowly correcting their mistakes. Better late than never. And I know GMA will now begin to put all their energies and resources on this show especially since it is beginning to fare poorly in the ratings game.

Ryan Agoncillo was the original choice for the hosting job at Pinoy Idol. But since he was promised a hosting job at ABS-CBN (PDA 2), he decided to stay with his network. Only later did he find out that they spew him out of their zone, replacing him with an artist pirated from GMA.

Ryan Cayabyab was grabbed by ABS-CBN before GMA could tap him as either judge or musical director for Pinoy Idol. That was a smart move on ABS-CBN, but take note that it was Freemantle Media that chose Jolina Magdangal, Wyngard Tracy and Ogie Alcasid over a list of other names presented to them by GMA Network to become judges in the local Idol franchise.

Well, one thing's for sure, Star Records produced more hits than GMA Records, not necessarily quality Filipino music, but more hits nonetheless.

Singers need to have a following for them to remain in the mainstream music industry. Star Records was able to do that to a majority of their artists. Star Records knows how to market/sell their artists to the record-buying public.

GMA Records, on the other hand, might have produced some quality albums BUT none of them really made it big in the market. Jonalyn's On My Own might have contained good songs but those songs never really reached the public.

GMA Records does not know how to market their artists. A lot of good artists signed under GMA Records have already vanished before they even began to shine. The likes of 604, Dimsum, Sipol, and Wink.

Ako lang siguro personally his stating Ang sexy mo really came across strong. Its like Mae should have answered did you listen to my singing or were you just checking me out. Alam ko hindi naman palagi but when he does say it. Its seems agressive. Dont get me wrong huh. Ogie is a very credible judge pero pag talagang natamaan siya nang maganda he expresses it so directly.

I think it becomes kinda akward. Kung ikaw kumakanta and then yung nag judge was more interested in your looks iba ang dating. Just expressing my opinion lang.

Pero yes the make up people. Fire them all. Please hire a professional. kung hindi sila mukang clown muka naman patay.

Two more Pinoy Idol hopefuls had to say goodbye yesterday during the June 8 Elimination Night, leaving 14 contestants to vie for the much-coveted title. Text by Jillian Q. Gatcheco. Photos courtesy of GMA Network.

Raymond opened the show by announcing the judges' picks on who would most probably be in the bottom group this week: JJ, Daryl, Warren, and Gretchen were the four names he mentioned.

The contestants performed their musical influences for Friday and Saturday's episodes, and those who stood out among the males were JJ, Toffer, and Walton, while the females who got positive remarks were Sue, Mae, and Penelope.

Friday, June 6, 2008: Boys' Performance Night

The guys were called first, with Kid, Walton, and Toffer ending up in the bottom three. Unfortunately, Walton was voted out, leaving the two to rejoin those who were moving on to the next round.

What does 25-year old Walton from Laguna have to say about his experience in Pinoy Idol? "Isang word lang. Sacrifice," he replies. "Bago ka umabot sa top, hangga't hindi mo ginagawa dapat mo gawin, di mo maaabot." He also adds that he's grateful for everyone who supported him along the way in the competition.

The seven male contestants left to compete for next week's eliminations are: Warren Antig, Robby Navarro, Toffer Rei, JJ Jr., Ram Chaves, Daryl Celis, and Elizalde Camaya

Saturday, June 7, 2008: Girls' Performance Night

During the girls' turn, those in the bottom three were: Mae, Jenny, and Meryl, with Meryl as the one who got voted out.

The 23-year old Bicolana explained during her last song with Walton that she was shedding tears of sadness and joy. "Na-discover ko dito na I can also go out of my way to really sing for a purpose. I'd like to be remembered as more than a singer. It [takes] more than a voice [to] inspire. [It's] humbling [because] I was able to realize that everyone's gifted�hindi lang ako [ang] sinuwerte."

The seven females left are: Gretchen Espina, Mae Flores, Penelope, Jayann Bautista, Carol Leus, Sue Ellen, and Jeni Rawolle.

The three judges also aired their opinions on this week's results.

"I'm not happy," imparts Ogie Alcasid. "But the people have spoken, so be it. You have so much talent, [so] go on," he advises Walton and Meryl.

Jolina Magdangal shares that she's also dissatisfied with the turnout. "Hindi talaga ako happy kasi nakita ko [ang] galing nila this week. Pero syempre, [mga tao] pa rin nagde-decide."

"Again I will always mention this and you will have to remember [it]," says Wyngard. "Isa lang matitira [dito]. [Ganito] talaga [ang] competition. From here, you have to move on. Isa lang talaga Pinoy Idol. You performed very well�yun na ang consolation niyo. You [just] have to respect the decision of the viewers."

according sa PIE, ganun lang yon, misunderstanding... carol moved to vren's room and it was Sue's turn to move to carol's room and bev to stay in the room that she was sharing with sue.. problem was that is wasnt made clear who should have moved..

sue isnt a snob..she said she just had different interests from Vren's, Carol's and Bev's.. she's a friend of Jayann, Meryl, Jeni and the other girls, her closest is JJ... if you see her friendster, youll see what kind of a person she is.. problem with us people is that we base everything we think we know about someone on the media.. if you guys were on the limelight, you would know exactly what it would feel like to be given a title/ a name/ a personality that you know just isnt you..

i am a close friend of SUE's and her schoolmates are my friends too.. i am from iloilo...we go to the same church..
