Guys, tips naman? How do you memorize, I mean how do you memorize effectively.

Me, palakad lakad ako sa kuwarto at inuulit ko siya nang inuulit.

Understand the subject matter.

Take it from someone incapable of memorizing. You have to understand the subject matter so you can structure it neatly in your mind and express the stuff in your own words if needed.

Worked for me with everything from integrations of probability formulas to Chinese vocabulary sheets.

tips:
- highlight mo yung keywords using diff. markers :yum:
- isip ka ng tune then sing it! :D
- memorize before sleeping tapos read it again pag gising.
- write it over and over again :|
- try to remember the exact locations of the keywords :nerd:
- write it down sa post it's tapos stick it on your things para you could remember :smokin:
- record your voice while reading it tapos listen to it while sleeping :silly:

repetition. that's my technique. you see, my memory, unless exercised, is highly selective. WRT love and sex, check this out: i'm past 27 but i remember the clothes, shoes, hairstyle, bags and conversations of ALL MY DATES SINCE HIGH SCHOOL (and i used to date quite often, up to 4 times a month). my very first memory? my mother was nursing me when she suddendly snapped "you're biting it!"

I memorized poems by repeating the lines over and over until they become embedded in my mind before moving to the next. Line by line till I complete the entire poem. Another way is using the memory pegs in the PSI seminar. Oks din yun. Acronyms and adding tunes (for phone numbers) also work for me. Hard Guy, we had the same experience. I also remember being told that by a girl. Yun nga lang, hindi ko siya kaano-ano. =)

genmadrigal,

i'll bet you can't remember the subsequent events:

1. you got slapped in the face

2. you landed in jail

3. you got bailed out by your entire clan

4. they all turned up to meet you outside the police station to see whether or not you could still walk normally after spending two nights with them gorgeous boys at city jail

Galing naman ni Hard Guy. Kaso hindi yun ang nangyari eh. She didn't slap my face, she sat on it.

This works for memorizing tons of mathematical equations and formulas: jotting it down on a piece of paper for an nth time. I find it easier rather than verbally spitting it out.

try re-writing your notes on a clean sheet of paper (bond paper), it will serve as your reviewer as well. i don't know if it will work for everyone, but it works for me, coz na-cocomprehend ko lalo as i write, and narerefresh yung 'lesson' sa mind ko.

labo ba nung explanation? anywayz... hehe

make a reviewer! write the summary of your lesson in a paper and read it many times you can, then have a sleep and read it and understand early in the morning then proceed to your class and you'll be the smartest in the class. take it from the expert!:):):):):)
