Imagine Sam Ekwe multiplied by 2, with the entry of Udo of San Beda.

I think this 84th Season, it will be a critical point for the Bedans if they want to have a GRANDSLAM after so so many years. The entry of Udo gave a statement to other NCAA Schools that -Hey we are the team still to beat this season. The forumers here gave a prediction of a clean elimination phase meaning no loss.

For Letran Knights, they will ride with the flow, meaning, they are the only team together with JRU that have the materials to tamed the Red Lions providing that they have the formula of doing it... Letran is a consistent top-contender since the beginning of the NCAA, so I expect another showdown in the making for the best NC Rivalry - San Beda vs. Letran... Look, last year Knights defeated the Red Lions in the first round barely.. so there is a possibility that this season they can beat the Red Lions twice or so, provided that Bedans will make go crazy on their games.

JRU Heavy Bombers on the other hand, had their chances of entering final 4,.. last year when they marched in the final 4. May patutunguhan ang team na ito, the team is solid pa rin naman

Mapua Cardinals, season 84 host. Expect the Cardinals to slug it out for the rest of the season. MVP Kelvin dela Peņa will carry the team on his shoulder and guide them to the rest of the season. I think they will be in the final 4 but barely will enter.

San Sebastian Stags, 2 years in a row since they left the final 4 arena. So I think this year, the materials are there and some returnees will back in harness, so they can also the final 4 this year.

CSB Blazers, with a new coach Gee Abanilla, will scratch back to one. Or until before the NCAA will start they will be united as one. Expect this team to make a boost! This year... A coach who was then the assistant of its sister school Franz Pumaren, so the Blazers are ready to go. Forget the issue of Paolo Orbeta and move forward!

UPHD Altas, uhm this year I think they are ready for more, siguro naman *** formula ni Bai Cristobal will be more effective this year and sana makapasok na ulit sila ng Final 4 just like nung 2004.

*If PCU will return, they must make a statement for the rest of the 7 teams in NCAA.

gusto ko sana, wala na masyadong intriga off the court.

like gambling or game fixing, all players must have the right
records and credentials, last year meron pang nagpunta sa korte
para kumuha ng TRO (san beda about aljamal issue)

sana lahat ng bagay sa BASKETBALL COURT paglabanan.

more close games, upset wins, magandang cheerdance
during halftime. a balance league

bagong talents na madiscover not just in BASKETBALL

Definitely a much better season.

* Joe Lipa is The Commssioner.
(Hindi na siguro kaiangan ipaliwanag ito at hindi na rin kailangan ihambing sa dati.)

* The Cardinals and coach Leo Isaac know each other much better now and have strengthened their line-up. The frontline is surely more competitive now with the tall Sarangay. Another 3-pt threat has been added as well. Once he gets his rhythm, that Espinosa is dangerous from any point in the arc. KDP plus Banal pa. Host pa.

* From the Filoil performance, all indicators show a steep upward trend for the Blazers. Of course the difficult-to-guard scorer Urra is not there anymore, but the current Blazers play cohesively as a five-player unit. Excellent attitude. We all just wish they'd have bigger crowds cheering them on. And the female cheerleaders are a joy to watch.

* Still a legitimate threat are the Heavy Bombers despite unflattering comments from keen observers. The line-up from last year's shortened title run is practically intact. The summer games can't be used as a reliable gauge since key players are overworked, it seems, by playing in other teams/leagues as well. F4 material still.

* Many consider the Stags a dangerous team, with Gallent and all, though they do not elaborate. No offense meant to fans of the Stags, but they just do not excite the crowd they way previous editions did. And certain fouls are still recalled by spectators. 'Hope things get better for them.

* What are the Perps guys doing? Or not doing?

* Jazul-Guevarra-Daa will still lead the Knights in jousts with ample help from Cabonce and Quinday(?).
Fa-un-dooo will be missed, even by opposing crowds. Many games used a three-guard quintet in 83 and summer, and this will continue in 84. Superb physical conditioning and Alas' motivation will be permanent factors in any opposing teams equation.

* Over-discussed na ata ang Red Lions.

* Paano na ang venue?

difficult-to-guard Urra? mabibilang ko sa kamay ang madaming beses na supalpal siya last last season at nung nakaraan na pilit kung tumira yan. Magaling sa depensa pero hindi siya masyadong magaling sa offense. ;)

i would really prefer to avoid an argument with you.

that assessment was made by ogie menor himself two seasons ago when he was able to shut down just about ANY scorer assigned to him by then coach koy banal.

no matter what his guard did, matrin urra, jr. was relentless in getting into a shooting position - inside, outside, 2-pts, 3-pts, fts.

he led your team with 14.1 pts ave. in season 82.

urra played differently in 83, when the blazers really seemed unmotivated and playmaker-passer orbeta was horribly distracted, to put it mildly. fans and opponents alike speculated that a number of off-court issues caused the dismal performance of an otherwise comeptitive team.

you see it differently, then you see it differently.

(on blocks, even high-leaping JC Intal was blocked twice in a 2-minute span.)

hope you and your gang cheer them the blazers on come game time.

I'm not really looking for an argument. He was a vital cog and Paolo Orbeta was just there to spoil everything for the Blazers. And for obvious reasons, you would understand why I was disappointed with the team for two seasons. You can see how Martin Urra tried to carry this team alone in his shoulders. But he comes out short, not to mention lacking in support from the other players. :smokin:

Don't worry about me cheering them come game time. I always do despite what I see differently about them. ;)
