Food for thought GB, Emerald Green is the shade that CSB is using whereas our older sibling from the other side is derived from the colors of the Irish brothers which is a little lighter like what the Celtics are using. ;)

I think the reason why we were told to get black uniforms is because off members of the NCAA management(altarboy can clarify further on this). Our original colors are green and white(even our building is green and white). I have a benilde jacket that's green and white. Personally, I don't like black. It just doesn't fit CSB imo :-)

Let us not jump into conclusions here, may Benildean rep din sa board ng ManCom(Mr. Henry Atayde), and they have a deeper reason for that. Maybe to avoid total association to DLSU, which would not bode well to the identity of Benilde. We should develop our own identity, as our defractors would always say: "Ang Benilde dikit lang sa LS, walang sense of identity. Kapit sa matatag." And they have a point, too. Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against DLSU, it's just that maybe its time to create our own identity. Hiwalay na college na tayo, and we are starting to excel, so there really is no reason for us to associate ourselves too much to them. (Tapos sila naman parang mababa din tingin sa CSB noh:rolleyes: )

Everyone has valid points regarding the use, misuse, and non-usage of the name of Lasalle through identity purposes in the NCAA. And it is this reason that Benilde is being challenged and that the school will make a name for itself regardless of the change of school colors or retaining of our roots back to the Lasalle system schools. I just feel sorry for Lasalle Greenhills that they have to abide by the rules of the inutile MANCOMM that they cannot use their own name. Take note, LSGH was established long before CSB was created and they can't use it, how ironic is that? :rolleyes:

Henry Atayde, a graduate of LSGH and DLSU(?). What can I say? We all have to play politics, especially in the NCAA. I just hope he makes the right policies and use his influence to at least give back the name of LSGH in their uniforms and school colors of old. :(

I think the bottom line here is that, CSB should(and deserve) to develop an identity for itself. We are too much associated with the other side that we fail to have something to fight for. We are successful in a lot of fields, especially nowadays, that we should just support our own. Why support someone who would only share your triumphs and leave you to rot when you are in shameful defeat?

But still, why is LSGH are banned from wearing their own name on their jerseys? Siguro just to prevent any posible controversy(and again, to let them have their own identity?) they should be allowed to wear "LSGH" but not La Salle. Thanks for the hearty conversations, everyone.
