ok..here's my take why San Beda can be beaten..

1) The fans are having too much expectations for the the Red Lions to stay perfect and that gives the team so much pressure placed on their shoulderts....remember UE?....

2) Opposing teams have talented coaches and players as well, so, they are going to be very prepared and will do whatever it takes to beat them despite the Lions behemoth line up including Ekwe and Emeka.

3) San Beda is the back to back Champions and the other teams are not intimidated , and that will give them an added incentive to beat the high powered Red Lions, knowing they have nothing to lose and so much to gain...again, that's the pressure for San Beda....

This is not a prediction..but just answering your question if San Beda can be beaten, because we still don't know how perfect San Beda team..on paper, their line up is very deep, and no opposing team is giving up and intimidated by their line up just yet...although I considered San Beda to threepeat, if they can overcome all those pressures, and not thinking ahead but one game at a time.

...so, after all what was said and done, we'll see after the season starts....

1. ue did not play for three weeks after sweeping
2. as a cause of number 1, they were rusty
3. la salle isn't intimidated by any opponent

I dont think players are as intimidated by Ekwe this year(or last year) compared to when he was a Rookie in Season 82. Medyo nakukuha na nila kung pano laro ni Ekwe eh. obvious answer right? not only Letran, but a handful of UAAP Teams beat us in different pre-season tourneys as well. We have experienced the same feeling in the late 90's when the Red Lions beat the super strong San Sebastian team on the 2nd round robin to force a best of three championship title showdown. The Red Lions were duly swept in that series (same with what happened last year with Letran), but we're extremely happy to have dealt the Stags their only loss in the tournament.

Diba ganun naman dapat- score on open shots. Basketball logic lang naman. It's the offensive play- score on those open shots, and they scored. I don't think any coach would pattern an offense attack that would prioritize less percentage shots or challenge shots over open look baskets.

I remember when we won, sobrang saya! But nevertheless, we gave respect to the Red Army. We had given them applauses after the game. To be exact, the applause was after they made their final Bedan wave before going home.
