ive known one who was so sweet and loving...but it suddenly changed...and i hated myself for the sudden change...is it her or is it me

I think povedans are nice people naman...once you get past the englisera, I'm-a-rich-kid reputation. A lot of povedans I know are really down-to-earth, but then again there are some who are really, well, not so down-to-earth. Every school has them naman eh, so no big deal. I'm not a big fan of the uniform though...

Povedans are usually the best girls when it comes to beauty and brains. A great percentage of them go to Ateneo or UP, which is a proof of that statement. They're really beautiful and it seems like 90% of the Povedan population is either heartthrob material or crush ng bayan type. They do have that rich kid attitude and many of them end up in the coño bench but there are also simple ones who go low profile when they get to college. Sometimes, by the way they act and speak, they are perceived as maarte and coño. Must be because they were born rich.

Overall, the Povedan is my type of girl. The only schools that rival them are Woodrose (which also have mestizas with brains like Poveda) and ICA (for those who like Chinese beauties with a lot of brains - like ME! :D).

Anyway, what can I say about you Povedans? Yes, you are indeed the perfect girls - talented, beautiful, smart - rich. But you really are not conos or maaarte. It's how you were raised eh - your upbringing.

Free Agent, my girlfriend, is one of those low profile Povedans you're talking about. She's not one of those who hang out in the cono benches. As well as her sister who's a sophomore in Ateneo - these sisters hang out in Kostka Extension.

Povedans are the natural elite who need not act rich because it is evident in their actions that they have lady-like poise and finesse. Hindi sila trying hard tulad ng ibang all girl exclusive schools. A number of them are slang or bulol when speaking in Tagalog, well, that would happen to you if English is your very first language.

Povedans are the best!!!

povedans are really fun. my first girlfriend was from poveda (waaahhh! boohoooo)... though some of them have superiority complexes, a lot are actually down to earth and really nice.

Povedan yung ex ko...I consider her to be very sweet, quiet, supportive, and simple. Most "good girl" type girlfriends would've thrashed me right away because of my vices (yosi, doobie, alak), but she didn't. She supported me. She gave me oh so many chances...and I blew them all. :(

Got nothing against them...would consider them much less conyo than girls from other exclusive schools...

povedans are not coños. i overheard some povedans talking in galleria and its really obvious that they are trying to fake accents. i think they weren't taught well by their english teachers coz they've got wrong grammars. i know a couple of povedans and they are my friends and they don't want to be stereotyped like their schoolmates. they know that povedans are airheads and a lot of them are either *****es, flirts, or easy-to-get that's why they want to transfer to woodrose or other exclusive school for girls but their parents won't let them. too bad.

When I was in high school (an exclusive girls school also), I didn't like any Povedan. I found them to be so maarte and acting superior, things like that. But I had a couple of Povedan friends in college and ok naman sila. So I figured that not all of them were the typical Povedans. Kaya lang, this one "friend" of mine befriended me pala kasi type nya boyfriend ko. And nagpa-cutesy-cutesy sya, she made it known to a lot of people na crush nya boyfriend ko and in the end my boyfriend and I broke up for no apparent reason. In less than 2 weeks nakipag-break na rin yung girl with her boyfriend. Before I knew it they were dating na and so long friendship na rin. I felt so used talaga.

I know bad experience lang ako with one Povedan but ever since I really hated their lot. Kasi she's one of the well-liked students daw there and not at all *****y or supladita or anything. Good girl naman daw. If she's good na compared to her schoolmates, I wouldn't want to know any more Povedans.

Sorry you feel that way! I think you should look at yourself first before you criticize others. Povedans don't fake their accents maybe thats the way you see it but for me i dont see it that way. I think its natural. Please stop generalizing Povedans because even though they all come from the same school that doesn't mean that they are exact replicas of the povedans that you are talking about! Each Povedan has their own skills, talent, etc. one may have a talent that the other Povedan doesn't possess, thats what makes them unique and different from each other! If you really have friends from Poveda then why dont you care about them. Its so obvious because a true friend doesn't say, "too bad" at another friends misfortune or disappointment.

P.S > what is grammars? That word doesn't exist.

i agree with shooter2001! my girlfriend studies there. most of her friends have accents because they are kind of "americanized". in her barkada they are a mix of all kinds of people. losers, populars, flirts and nerds. u name it! povedans are friendly that they dont leave you out of anything, parties or what. as shooter2001 said, who is NOT my girlfriend!, stop generalizing povedans. for the people that said negative things about them i have one question for you, you want others to do that to you also?

(just to correct you there is no such thing as "grammars" I've heard of "grammar" but never grammars.) and about the slot thing, I should know coz Im from Poveda..... oh yeah, and our grammar teachers, they're great! hey meeshl,i agree with shooter2001!You should not critcize Povedans in general because you dont even know each and everyone of them!All Povedans are different from each other!We have our own strengths and weaknesses so if one Povedan seems to be a slut,or *****,or whatsoever it doesn't mean that all of us are like that already!......and one more thing Povedans do not fake their accents!I just want you to know that Povedans are great and fun to be with!....i might forget...just to remind you...look at your grammar first before you insult ours!

i only knew a bunch of povedan peeps back in HS and i did not think much of them. i thought kase that they were all pa cute and stuff. i actually thought of them as girls with out substance but defenitely crush material.

and then in college, i made friends with another couple of povedans and another and another.

turns out that they are actually nice, honest, smart and definitely (tama ba ang spelling?) cuties! im glad that i was actually getting to know them better

and now some of these povedan friends of mine are the ones closest to my heart!

who am i to give judgements, it is too bias if i base my judgements from the peeps i know who studied or studying at poveda. what i said is just my opinion and from what i see. as far as i know they are not that good (in beauty and brains), what most of people thinks. yes, they are good, maybe not just good, they are very good. but not all of them are, i do have cousins (4 of my cousins) who studied at poveda. they are all pretty, and got brains, sosy and whatsoever. povedans are nearly to perfection, but so does, assumptionistas and ICAns and woodrose peeps, and maryknollers. everyone thinks povedans are the only ones who have beauty and brains, but actually more girls with beauty and brains come from other schools. anyweiz not all povedans are the typical rich type kid, mylene dizon came from poveda too. but look at her now. is she the typical rich kid girl with beauty and brains. nah...

this isn't a grammar class, so it's better if we quit the topic. a thread must flow as a verbal tone and not a written one.
Anyway, its good to hear that most people realize the real substance behind every povedan. I've met alot of people in college and they all had the same first impression on me and my friends... conyo, maarte, snobby with superiority complexes. And i must admit we can be the type of person as how we are branded. But behind all these negative images that we portray, there is always a sensitive, sweet, humble and smart individual in every goldilocks uniform.
Based upon my experiences, I have been called a ***** and all those crap, but then when they get to know me they seem to eat their words. Most, if not all, say that the goodness in me overshadows the reputation I play. I am not what I project. I am just confident of who I am.
And with regards to our english communication skills, its our way of intimidating guys. Guys who deserve us must not be frightened with the manner of how we speak. And it is not our fault that we speak good english (ingget lang kayo).
I am proud to have graduated with a PLC diploma. The bond of every povedan sticks with all povedans/teresianans all the way.

I went to my neighbors party, in Dasmarinas Vill., who happened to be a Povedan and all I can say is that they are all social climbers and slutty! I also went to their prom '97-98 and felt like I was around fake people who wear too much make-up and talk like bimbos...I mean and ARE bimbos. My date was nice but her friends were completely tramps like they were competing against one another. Povedans obviously have lots of insecurities thats why they are EASY TO GET! Good thing my lil sisters transffered to Assumption! Wouldn't want em becoming lil tramps if you know what I mean!

Cheese Cake. Half of the girls I've had crushes on were from poveda. I don't know why but its just that. Its ironic though that none of them ever became my girlfriend. Well I guess povedans are great if you want cute cuddly company but if you're for girlfriend material, go to woodrose or spcp.
