PBMIT means Pablo Borbon Memorial Institute of Technology and is a college specializing on Engineering/Technical courses. It is located somewhere in Cavite as far as I have remember. It should not be confused with MIT because MIT is definitely more famous and better engineering school.

PBMIT is more famous... yes, but that Mapua is a better school is highly debatable. PBMIT is a school in Batangas City specializing in Engineering, Science and Business Courses.

I am from UP Diliman and I happen to know PBMIT because I am a Batangueño. The students there are trained without much of the equipment which could be found in Mapua (which are very much insufficient as well) but they still manage to put people in the top places come Board Exams... and this with a 20 year back log compared to the latter. One could only imagine where they would be if their programs began at the same time.

I have much respect for Mapua's Engineering programs but do not undermine PBMIT's, you may not know what you're dealing with.
