Basketball TV in cooperation with IBC 13 will cover the event. PCU has a lot problems, not only in basketball, but in the other sports they have participated in. So it is not official yet that they are again a member of the NCAA. They have a lot of cleaning up to do.

The Arean & San Juan Arena ii sa lang yan. located siya sa San Juan. saka ka lang ng G-Liner na bus tapos sabihin mo na lang ibaba ka sa San Juan Arena. alam na ng condudtor yun. medyo matagal lang yung biyahe kasi yung bus tigil ng tigil. pwede rin mag-Mega Tren kung galing ka ng manila, baba ka sa V.Mapa station then sakay ka ng G-Liner na bus. mas konti tigil nyan pero mas mahal yung pamasahe.

yung Ultra sa Pasig yun. di ko alam kung pano pumunta kasi di naman nag-lalaro dyan ang NCAA eh, UAAP nag-lalaro dyan eh.

You have to remember, that w/ ADMU & SBC in different leagues, this will only be one of the very few times these 2 schools will have the opportunity to meet each other in a season.

Well regarding the "Indian Yell", La Salle's "Rain Chant" was patterned from a concert in Woodstock during 1969. The LSGH students were the one who first used that chant during the Juniors game then the Seniors followed (it was later on called the "Rain Chant"). Thanks... I would like to apologize for the mess created by one of our own. Still, there are people coming from Jose Rizal that are humble and really value the good education they have gained as a part of their student life in school.

To Bomber Boy, as I've said it before I admire your loyalty. However, this is not the proper place or thread for the arguments between you and other members of the school. Besides it's better to keep it low and silent rather than showing off. Eh ano naman kung tuksuhin tayong Hopia Factory? Dude, that pang asar was being used even during the time of my father at JRC and we just laughed it off na lang. Hindi naman nabawasan ang pagkatao namin... maasar ka nga lang, there's a saying di ba na ang asar talo? It seems ikaw ang naasar dito. I also used to react negatively whenever I hear that chant during the games (student days) at RMC or Loyola gym... pero hanggang doon lang. Meron din away during or after the game, pero what the heck! Hindi lang naman JRU ang napa-pa rumble then almost all of the members school. Maging matured lang tayo, kahit students pa kayo (i.e. high school, college, etc.) and I'm sure na informative at better exchange of ideas ang mga thread dito.

Always remember that your post will only show your character and paano ka pinalaki ng family mo. Sometimes the school will also dragged into this at huwag na natin palalain ang situation. Malaki ang naging investment ng bawat individual sa ating mga respetadong eskwelehan at huwag naman sana nating dungisan at haluaan ng kalokohan ang mga kanilang pinaghirapan para sa mga mag aaral na Pilipino at sa bansang Pilipinas.

I will admit that as a school San Beda as a school also has its share of individuals who apart from being rowdy also think highly of themselves as if they were God. But hey guess what, I'm sure that this also holds true even for other schools and even for the Ateneo.

National Survey: DLS-CSB graduates get hired fast

Based on the national survey done by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) ranked second highest among 35 other colleges in terms of employability rate.

DLS-CSB Special Assistant to the President Mr. Neil Pariñas said, “Based on the presentation of the Secretary of Labor and Employment last 2005, the graduates of the University of the Philippines get hired the fastest in one to two months time. DLS-CSB graduates get hired faster second.”

“DOLE and CHED required us to do a survey among the graduates of DLS-CSB from school year 2000-2001 to 2003-2004, which we submitted to them. Among those graduates, 633 of them complied,” he shared.

Survey Says

Based on the survey, 31% of the total respondents are officials, executives, managers, or supervisors, and 43% of them have a median annual salary of 210,000 pesos. As Pariñas said, “Most of the people who answered the survey are fresh graduates, but their salaries are already high.”

When the respondents were asked which personal and academic background made them employable, most answered factors like personality, competencies learned in school, and the reputation of DLS-CSB. “So even the employers have trust in our school,” Pariñas added.

Also, the employability rate of DLS-CSB students is not dependent on the place of residence, civil status, age and year graduated. 78% of the respondents are very satisfied with their jobs and 43% say that their first jobs are related to their course in DLS-CSB.

Final Words

"I think it is about knowing what you want in life and pursuing it. Control the things in your control, and pray for the things beyond your control." Pariñas said. "It’s about knowing your purpose. If you’re given the opportunity, you have to give your best. In the long process, it’s not about money but your own happiness."

Pariñas compared DLS-CSB to a flashlight. “The flashlight has a dispersed light when turned on. But when the light concentrated, it becomes laser that can be used to operate on people or even cut through metal. DLS-CSB is currently a flashlight, and we must do everything we can in order to concentrate that light and become a laser.” He added that "We have the resources; all you have to do is to do well—to give your best, and we can shine."

seriously, one of my earlier posts here was even a congratulatory one to the bedans for making it to the fil-oil finals against lasalle last year. however, i suddenly got turned off when i started to notice that if you criticize them eh biglang namemersonal na agad. on top of that kung manlait ng mga schools akala mo kung sino.

i offer no apologies for engaging these brats here and employing the same "bastusan" tactics that they employ to irritate other on them. i am just standing up against these people and if it is those same tactics that they uses is what will make them either simply shut up or clean up their act here then so be it.

try watching an ncaa game live and see how that mirrors how bedans behave here online. the squatter chant, them showing their wallets to the other side, challenging students and supporters of other schools to fights and shouting profanities to both opposing players and students alike just to name a few.

me and some alumni's of letran started to voice out the interest in forming a rowing team sa intramuros. yun nga lang kulang pa talaga kami sa boosters and approval coming from the school...

kaya ang mga ibang interested rowers na letranista eh nakikicolorum sa uste and sa phil. navy..

were getting there, one step at time... mabubuo din yan!!*okay*
