chicken soup for the soul is a compilation of short stories, poems, essays etc.. the one that is unique in this book that it practically tackles all aspects of life. from love, death and dying, relationships and more. it has a life of its own. different people ,different style of writting but one in thought. i highly recommend this book.

There is another thread on this topic. Check it out at:

Chicken soup, anyone? (http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=23207)

Personally, I think that the original Chicken Soup for the Soul was good but with all its other incarnations (i.e. Chicken Soup for the Teen Spirit, etc), it just got too commercial. It has obviously become a major franchise.
