Instead of opening a new thread for every game, I suggest you just open a "Fr. Martin Cup III" thread instead.
SBC-B vs. DLSU will be a good match to watch, though. But DLSU will have the advantage, if they're fielding a complete lineup.

This tournament not as competitive compared to NCAA and UAAP. Schools take this oppurtunity to develop and hone players in the right battle. Usually this is a game for second stringers and Team B players.

Since Ekwe arrived nearly all bigmen honed thier skills and evolved thier game to another level. Those guys hyping Emeka are the guys who doesnt even seen him play.
At this point in time Emeka is no Ekwe in terms of overall skills. He is still a work in progress. Matakaw pa sa turnovers.

So true. ;)
By the way, naglaro pala si Faundo nung laban ng SBC - B at DLSU.

pag nakakahawak daw ng bola eh turnover waiting to happen daw si emeka eh.
para pala siyang si pong escobal. pero in fairness kay pong eh pag important games lang naman siya talaga dinadaga, nagkakalat at hindi makaporma. parang nung huling ncaa finals, less than 10 pts a game ata ang average niya dun, di siya nakaporma kay dangcal of all people.

You're so right. *okay* Pasensya ka na they are not playing up to your standards.
Emeka, Pong and co. are playing, ah, um, like amateurs. Totally unacceptable :grrr: With the way their playing, I dont think they can post a perfect record next season ;)
Bombedboy, this summer SBC will again send the boys over to the US for some more intensive skills training and see if we can make you happy with the way they play. :naughty:

He is being trained for a combo point/scoring forward role this offseason. Its about time for Wham!Gam!Bam to break his career high of 18points which he scored during his rookie debut in 2005. Isa pa sobrang inspired maglaro si Bambam lately. *okay*
Yup turnover awaiting to happen pag-me ball possession si Emeka. Si Menor din naman ganyan din dati mga two years ago. Sa limang drive 3 ang automatic turnovers. Kelangan pang i-train ng mabuti. :)
As to kay Pong, wala na akong comment. Dangcal > Pong *okay*

Para mapagbigyan e yung 3 games (assuming na there will be 3 games) sa opening puro San Beda games.

I am sure that he understands a simple question like that, baka naman nung tinanong ay tipong after the game kung saan maingay na ang mga tao at pagod na sya after giving his all dun sa laro. Most probably he did not hear the question, kasi nga maingay. Si Pradas may be a good student pero as a basketball player parang alangan sya. He's bulky parang built like a power forward but unfotunately he was not gifted with the height to play that position and he's a bit slowto be a guard. Last season he averages about 6pts only, malayo pa ang tatakbuhin nya, wala pa sya sa kalibre nila Hayes, Escobal, Menor, Jazul at Dela Pena. Atsaka, merong different facets of intelligence (multilevel...).

what an excuse :rotflmao: dude, there's nothing wrong for the bedans to admit that one of their star players has difficulty with english. unang una, hindi naman english ang native tongue natin eh, so okay lang dapat iyun.

what can i say, at 5'10 pradas is not the perfect player. pero i hope you agree that when it comes to defense eh kahit bigger players nababantayan niya. ang problem lang niya is that he tends to play with too much emotion such that he tends to argue with his own teamates. no shame in admitting one of our cornerstones' shortcomings.

Cant blame him, these are symptoms of a condition contracted, when one lingers long enough in the NCAA and UAAP fora, called herPEX. Effects are long term. Other sign and symptoms are:1. Me against the world syndrome, 2. defender of the oppressed delusions,3. develops calloused wrist caused when both hands are rested long enough on the PC table while pexing,4. strangely enough they develop from an imbecile member into a regular with sporadic flashes of comprehension with basic logic with no telling signs of permanency.

^hahahahahaha. That's funny Toti:lol:
Anyway, a little explanation lang po. Ang sabi ko there are different facets of intelligence (multilevel). Iba yung sports, athletic or even basketball intelligence sa academics. As an example I gave KG or Kobe na high school lang. Although these guys might have a disadvantage in arguing or debating against college grads, but they have a high level of basketball intelligence, I don't think anyone would dispute that when it comes to that sports (basketball) they are experts. Kaya si KG o Kobe ang binigay kong example because I know that they did not acquire any formal college education. In the same manner si Ogie is smart in basketball but whether or not he has academics or communication skills problem is something that cannot be assessed by one incident.

how witty naman you. you were able to cite a lot of things there. how i wish you can do the same when asked about the "ogie menor didn't understand the question in english" incident. so bakit nga ba hindi naintindihan ni ogie iyung tanong? was it simply because it was in english? hope you can give a straight answer to this and not resort to writing inane drivel just to skirt the issue.

In layman's term, "consult a psychologist" :rotflmao:

your majesty, did i ever lay claim that i, the jru players or anyone from jru for that matter is a master of the english language? dehins, di ba. no claim whatsoever. what i said concerned the jru players only and it is limited to the fact that they may not be proficient in speaking and discussing in english but they sure as hell can understand it. even english questions like the one thrown at ogie on national tv. however, if you insist me to name a jru player who is well versed in english then i offer you jr cunanan. i'm sure mauubusan ang the likes of you ng english if you try to engage in a discussion with him.
same case as alex angeles in game 2. anong school nga ulit ni alex?
funny, sino kaya ang nagmukhang walang kwenta on tv after game 2? better yet, anong school kaya ang nagmukhang walang kuwenta? tsktsk, and all it took was one simple question.
ayusen nio muna JS prom nio............. nakakahiya... nsa news...

Btw, try to create a poll here or in the UAAP forum just to check if there's even a single pexer who will believe that your a UP grad.

It is recently observed that the aforementioned condition has multiple stages. The symptoms quoted above proved to be the primary.
The: 1. Urge to multiple post the same reply is uncontrollable,(hala! sige di mapigilang mga daliring pindot ng pindot ng "submit reply" button) 2. Suddenly develops a penchant for the english language and grammar,3. Because of symptom no. 2 he now believes that being a grammar police is his vocation, 4. Have Claims of bested interest; proved to be the telling sign of the second stage.

Please, let us avoid ad hominem attacks. It is better if we state our arguments in a civil manner while respecting others that may have different opinions. Let us respect one another.
