What are your favorite brands of shoes? Please take into consideration comfort, style and price.

Mine would be Nine West and Aerosoles although the latter doesn't have a lot of nice styles.

Dress/Casual:

Timberland is my "most" favorite brand. Not that expensive, VERY durable, quite stylish and ok to the feet.

Kenneth Cole is my favorite. VERY stylish, a tad pricey, nice leather, pretty durable.

Adidas is a brand I favour. Moderately priced, VERY comfortable, stylish and durable.

Athlethic:

Adidas is my favorite brand. Not much breaking in needed, stylish, good technology, pretty comfortable but EXPENSIVE!

Nike and Mizuno are brands I like,VERY stylish(Nikes),quitie expensive, hard to break in (Nikes), not much breaking in (Mizuno), not that durable(Nike),pretty durable(Mizuno),great technology(Nike),old school simplicity(Mizuno)

You're right. I actually like the designs of Kenneth Cole. Very trendy but not so much that it's gawdy. I have yet to buy a pair though. Are they comfortable enough?

I have so many shoes.

Doc Marten's are my favorite chunky shoes.

Cole Haan for formal/ dressy occassions.

Sneakers/Tennis shoes- I'm loving New Balance as of this time but Nike and Adidas would be there among others (vans, converse, diesel, reebok, asics, reaction-kenneth cole)

Has anyone here ever tried Chinese Laundry? If so, are they comfortable enough or do they just look cute?

I have a lot of Nine Wests. They are not the most comfy shoes but the style fits my personality. I just discovered Ecco (not Marck Ecko) shoes. I bought a pair of open toe pumps, about 2 1/2 inches high and so far, they are the most comfy pair of heels I have. They don't have too many "kikay" styles though, natyempuhan ko lang yung nabili ko. It's a brand more for comfort and functionality than style.

For comfort, I like naturalizer, clarks and ecco. For style, I like Michael Kors and Nine West and Celine and those cute sandals at the shoe stores in Greenhills (Macy's, suki, janylin, etc). I read in a magazine during fashion week though, a lot of Stars/starlets share my sentiment that there is no such thing as comfortable heels :D You just can't wear them and walk and run in them for like 12 hours. I still want a pair of Louboutins or Jimmy Choo though  kahit isa lang :p

ma'am,

If you have the etra dosh, go for Cole Haan shoes instead they are like similar design wise but a MASSIVE difference in price.

About them KCs... They are comfortable after the first week. It's best you wear them with some stockings or some sort of socks to protect you from calluses just in case. :D Because I don't know about them shoes for ladies but the men's line need some "breaking in".

Hope this helps.

For comfort, I like naturalizer, clarks and ecco.

Bought a pair of Naturalizers a few months ago. It's a wedge with straps. After a couple of months, I had to bring one shoe to Besa's to have the strap fixed since it was about to fall off(cost me P250 to have it stitched). I didn't even wear them that often!

I've always thought that Naturalizers were of good quality. Now I guess it doesn't hold true for all their shoes.

the following brands are the most comfortable shoes i ever had:

strappy shoes: aerosoles - reasonably priced
cole haan - ganda talaga!

office shoes: naturalizer
cold weather boots: uggs (hands down, the comfiest!)
sneakers: diesel - nice design; i love the thin soles
flip flops: victoria's secret pink (super cute designs!), abercrombie
and hollister

i have a couple of nine west shoes. masakit lang siya sa paa and it breaks my heart 'coz cute yung design talaga.

I agree with Nine West shoes. I have this very very sexy strappy thin wedge kikay gimik "pokpok" shoes :p You can wear it with pants, skirts, dresses... pero di ka naman tatagal ng nakatayo or naglalakad dun much more dance with it. I remember one time, my girlfriends and I went out and one of them didn't have shoes to wear (travel kasi kami nuon, we were in Seattle). So off course, being the shoe lady and I think I packed about 4 pairs of shoes for a week long trip, I told her she can wear my "pokpok" shoes. She looked hawt on it, pero by the end of the night, she took it off na... as in naglakad sha ng nakapaa sa streets ng downtown Seattle :D From them on, sinumpa na nya yung shoes ko na yun, until now we get a good laugh talking about it  Pero that still didn't stop me from buying shoes from nine west, just last week I got this stilletto boots, same problem, parusa sa paa! Pero it's soo cute eh. What I do now, I just wear them if I know I would just be sitting down, and wala mashadong lakad lakad and sayaw sayaw na gagawin :D

Hi! I too am wary of ebay sellers however, this one I have tried already. I recently made use of her service and fortunately, everything was hassle-free. In fact, I just received the two pairs of shoes I ordered yesterday. I also checked her feedback page before doing a transcation with her and so far, she hasn't received any negative comments yet.

It would be unfair to those online sellers who do legitimate business if we say that we should never trust anyone. There are legit sellers who sell legit stuff. There are also sellers who are just obviously trying to make a fool out of buyers. What we should be is careful on who we deal with.

^ How many of them do it legit over in ebay?

Just because nobody has served them with a negative feedback doesn't mean that their items are authentic.

But again, to each his own. I prefer buying things over at their main stores.

Pradas and Ferragamos are really comfy despite the hefty price tag.

Other than that there's Tod's, Paul Smith, and the trusty Vans for casual. It's not always the price tag that's the issue but how long will it last you and how comfy the pair will be...

I have an objection with Kenneth Coles as I have worn out 2 pairs already ages ago even if I take care of my shoes so much. The Reaction by Kenneth Cole line makes me think twice of getting them ever again. The Kenneth Cole line is more durable. But for best leather you can't argue any further with the Italians.

MEN's Shoes:

ALDO is my first choice now, their casual shoes are quite sturdy and fits my rather 'wide' feet really well....price could be a bit high but I usually buy when they are on sale, para makamura........got four good pairs now!

CATERPILLAR, reasonably priced work or casual shoes. What's amazing about CAT is it's very tough soles...bihirang bumigay ang outer soles.

HUSH PUPPIES, light and very casual, good that they have brought back the original suede semi boots (reminds me of the original CAVITE Boy look, back when Cavitenoes were wearing tight shirts and low waist Levi's jeans with 'original' cotton scarves tucked on the back pocket, matched with suede semi boot Hush Puppies.....that was way back in the 1980's)

CLARKS, must have at least a pair or two, really well made with strong materials....but the problem with the pair I have is it's rather stiff outer soles, my feet gets calloused if I don't use thick socks.

ECCO, price could be stiff for this brand, but I have a pair since four years ago, bumigay na yung outer soles pero maganda pa rin ang leather....I will have it repaired!

*okay*

ASICS , nothing more , nothing less. I first bought it a month ago and when i wore it i said to myself , from now on i will buy asics and only asics.

It's the only shoe I have worn that when you pinch the sides of the sole , it easily squishes which has that soft and bouncy effect. Same with walking with asics shoes , you feel like you're stepping on a rubber ball , ang sarraaaaap

I'm not so mean with online sellers, but purchasing a fashion brands online (I mean not like e-luxury) is a risk. Are you sure you're buying a genuine one???? - that is - if you are after the designer label. It maybe cheap to hear, because it is branded 'kuno,' but what if you found out you just bought a counterfeit item without knowing upon purchasing???? It's just a waste of money....

I think lahat ng "Lacoste footwear" na store under ng pentstar. Yung VIP card ko pang SHOES lang kasi. Kelangan maka 25,000 in a year para makakuha ng VIP card, then kelangan maka 15,000 ka to renew it every year.
Ako din impulsive buyer, paramihan kami ng shoes ng GF ko haha. Di ko pinapaabot ng next day lalo na pag sobrang gusto ko yung shoes.

i disagree @ boytoy. lacoste (galleria and megamall branches) are selling sneakers though very limited styles and these shops are SSI operated. :bashful:

We are talking about "Lacoste Footwear" boutiques here right? There is no "Lacoste Footwear" boutiques in Megamall. Baka your talking about Lacoste boutiques that sell clothes. If you are, yup, they sell limited styles of shoes, and they are operated by SSI. As for "Lacoste Footwear" boutique in Galleria, they sell all available style of shoes and operated by Pentstar.

List of "Lacoste Footwear" boutiques operated by Pentstar: (I think all "Lacoste Footwear" boutiques are operated by Pentstar)
-Shangri-La Plaza Mall
-Robinsons Place Manila
-Power Plant Mall
-Glorietta 3
-Podium
-SM City Davao
-Gateway Mall

Paul Smith! :)

I was in 3rd year high school when I got fascinated with shoes from Paul Smith. I started to "collect" Paul Smith shoes since then.

Here are some of my faves:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b42/sparklywacky/waxypaulsmithshoes.jpg

The best thing about this collection though is that it kind of allowed me to establish great friendship with some of the PS staff.

Anyway, I stopped purchasing shoes from PS recently as I am trying to expose myself to other shoe brands. Hehe :)

nice collection! anyway, how much a pair of these babies would cost normally? i'm just curious.

BTW I dropped by PS Shang today, they told me new items are arriving this month. Store in GB5 also opening this month daw. The SA there even showed me photos in their PC of new sneakers coming in.. they're awesome! But I'll still wait for the next sale since full retail price is very steep. :)

I got a text message from my fave SA: no news yet re the warehouse sale this year. Last year, if I'm not mistaken, they had it last week of March until first week of April somewhere in Kapitolyo, Pasig. Anyway, the warehouse sale wasn't that great. I reckon that the items available were those that weren't sold during the boutique sale (both Glorietta 4 and Shang). Items come in broken sizes too. There were lots of dandy suits though... but they're like 30K++!! They also don't accept credit card, which sucks.

nice @ boytoy. me, i got a new pair of lacoste (vasanti mesh) at rob gale during its 3day sale last friday. grabe dude! nwala ang efficient customer service ng staff, even the manager. parang instant baratillo sa dami ng tao although yung iba tingin mode lang. kung di ko lang gusto yung binili ko, di ako dito bibili. akala mo naghahabol ng quota, at tipong 500 pesos lang ang binbenta. nawala tuloy ang pagka class ng lacoste. hahaha. hay, to think na regular customer na ko dito where i bought my other two shoes. kainis, parehas yun kasama sa sale. e regular price ko nabili noon. hay!!!

Sharing lang po...Have you tried the power eraser from Mr Clean or Arix (I saw the 3M brand much cheaper).... I also used it to clean my macbook (keyboard area)... tip is to cut smaller portion of the sponge, wet it and rub against the blue surface.... presto! tidy whities... used it also on my stan smith. Disclaimer: Power Eraser is not applicable on glossy finish.
