Is this the typical yield for new dentists? No wonder it's so hard to get an appointment nowadays.

Maybe UST should start offering Dentistry already since malaki pala ang demand sa mga dentists...

The University of the East College of Dentistry ranked No. 1 in among dental schools with 26-99 examinees, based on the results of the December 2007Dentist Licensure Examination released recently by the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) Board of Dentistry.
Of the 42 candidates the UE College of Dentistry fielded, 36 passed, resulting in UE’s achieving a passing percentage of 86%, surpassing the December 2007 dental board examinations’ 36% overall-national passing percentage.
The UE also takes pride on the performance of its UE Center for Review and Special Studies (UE-CRESS). 1st placer Dr. Julie Ann B. Lim (Cebu Doctors’ University); 5th placer Dr. Beverly Jane S. Bondoc (Centro Scholar University-Malolos) and 10th placer Dr. Joan Grace J. Trasmonte (Iloilo Doctor’s College) took their dentistry review classes at the UE-CRESS along with 18 UE and 89 non-UE successful examinees.
A testimonial dinner will be tendered by the UE administration in honor of the new UE dentists and the Faculty of Instructions on Thursday, January 24 at the Kachina Room, Century Park Hotel, P. Ocampo St., Malate, Manila.
According to the PRC, the new dentists will take oath en masse on Thursday, January 24, 1 p.m., at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, CCP Complex, Pasay City.

^Uh, I'm saying this not to bash nor demean anybody, but the slogan or whatever is written on that thing is redundant.
"UE Dentisty ranked No. 1 in among dental..." will do well without the "in."

Mabuhay ang mga bagong dentista :). Nawa'y magsitulong tayong lahat upang pasiglahin ang ngiti ng ating mga kababayan. Pagpalain sana kayo.
(slightly off-topic, begging your indulgence)
If you haven't already pre-registered for the upcoming dental convention, you guys may want to contact the Philippine Dental Association office at Makati for details on our upcoming PDA convention this late April, 2008. Prior to registering at the convention, you'll be required to join a local dental chapter. Well, we're all required to accumulate a certain number of continuing education points per year.
