Ok, here goes...

This question has bugged me for sometime, and now, tatanungin ko na siya. Nung college days ko pa, i have this guy classmate, and he REALLY HAS GOODLOOKING HAIR. At WALANG GEL. Talagang smooth, shiny, at ayos na ayos. If I remember, straight ang hair niya or parang medyo wavy.

Anyway, nahihiya naman akong tanungin din siya, being a guy myself. So I never asked what his secret is.

Ano po ba ang secret to have that smooth, shiny at ayos na ayos na hair. Kasi ever since, I am just applying wax on my hair. Minsan gel. Kasi, ewan, I shampoo everyday, and I tried conditioners, kahit pa *** leave-on conditioners like sa sunsilk and palmolive, pero parang HOAX??? i mean, di naman nagiging shiny, smooth at ayos na ayos ang buhok ah???

Ano po kaya ang secret/s? May nagmention sa kin hot oil? tama ba to? ano pa kaya..

Pls help thank you very much!

so pano nga kaya magkaroon ng magandang hair while looking natural?

is there some application like wax, or will cellophane or hot oil do the work?

Magpa-hairspa / deep conditioning / powerdose (?) at least once a week. Or magpa-cellophane every month. Any of those should do the trick.

i'm asking the same thing... i believe leave-ons make your hair oily and unnatural kasi eh...

semi-rebond lang yan for guys.

Sometimes it depends on kung saan tumutubo ang buhok mo. coz some ay medyo mataas ang hairline (panot), some medyo mababa.

it's true. because you only get shiny hair kung walang tikwas kasi kapag walang tikwas ang buhok mas reflective. Parang sa tubig lang yan... where do you see your reflection the clearest? sa stable or sa flowing?
and the gloss of the hair depends on the oil secretion of your hair. meron kasing mga buhok na super dry, meron naman super oily.

now... lets take this one by one. since gusto mo ng "smooth, shiny, at ayos na ayos" na mukhang natural, just study your hair and then choose the treatment that soothes you.

what kind of hair do you have?
1. Curly? Wavy? Straight?
- if you have curly hair... you can blow dry or iron. this is a very tedious thing to do everyday especially for curly hair. and its hard to blowdry and iron yourself. unless you get someone to do it for you. but just in case you decide to master this art... please don't do it while your hair is wet coz it will really damage it. after that dont forget to use a leave-on coz your hair gets drier with these stuff.
I SUGGEST you can have it semi-rebonded. AGAIN... semi-rebonded. Other hair straightening treatments like 'straightening' and 'relaxing' are very hair intoxicating... parang sobrang tapang... semi-rebonding naman is milder. However... I suggest you ask for assistance in the salon for this and dont forget to have it oiled coz it makes it drier pagkatapos ng mga treatments na ganyan but then i think most salons offer this in a package na. Parang when you get this kind of treatment meron na din kasamang hot oil. I know that you guys are guys but then dont be shy to ask coz' its your hair and you wouldnt want to ruin it.

if your hair is wavy... well this depends... some have big waves. some have small waves. the smaller the waves you have, the curlier your hair is. If you have smaller waves then i suggest you go for the semi-rebonding treatment. But if you have big waves, I suggest you just iron your hair or you can blowdry it but then you have to practice. AGAIN. Do it only when the hair is not wet.

FYI. Those who are wavy and curly usually dont get that kind of shine coz yung oil na nanggagaling sa sebaceous glands ay hindi nakakatravel efficiently in the strand of a hair? Why? Just imagine... which is an easier road to drive your car on? paakyat ng baguio? or sa south super highway? hehe. And it for your hair to get the desired shine... you need oil (Remember that)

if your hair is straight then the only problem you have kaya hindi shiny ang hair mo ay dahil sa tikwas/tuchang, or sa pagiging dry ng hair. ang solusyon jan ay hot oil/conditioner/leave-on

2. thin, thick, or medium strands?
remember... it is more ideal to have medium to thick strands coz its healthier and rich with nutrients. kaya nga naglalagas yung mga stressed out coz when your stressed your body gets some of the nutrients in your hair to help repair and resotre the damages you get from being stressed. AND when you have medium to thick strands mas maganda yung shine ng hair.

if you have thin strands then aloe vera shampoo... and stay away from being stressed and eat healthy and take vitamin E. I think all these adds diameter to you hair.

if you have normal to thick strands naman.. eh di... LUCKY YOU! haha... just take care of it.

Tip: Don't use too much shampoo because too much of something is bad for you! :)

3. Dry, Oily, or Normal?
if dry hair mo then you have to use products such as leave on, conditioner etc. or magpahot oil ka.
if normal Lucky you again! just have it treated ones in a while.

ok...
just remember these principles. (for a shiny, smooth, at ayos na ayos na hair)
1. it has to be straight
2. it shouldnt be dry
3. it has to be medium to thick in diameter.

so there! ;) i hope this helps you

You just need a really good professional type-salon level leave-in conditioner.

Ako rin, I used to style my hair heavily with products---before, gel and then more recently, with wax. I wore my hair pretty short to medium, and the strands are thick and heavy. Yun tipong if cut too short, they really stick out.

I thought my hair was hopeless without finishing products but my stylist convinced me to grow my hair long and just use a very good leave-in product. I spray it on and blow dry and I shampoo only every other day. Maganda na yung bagsak nya kahit walang gel or wax, parang straight na straight na.

Those guys with nice, naturally looking hair usually have very thin or fine hair that grows close to the scalp. parang Caucasian hair. Mine's very Asian--not curly or wiry but thick and black.

Ako rin, gusto kong magkaroon ng smooth shiny hair, at unti-unti nang nagiging smooth and shiny, just use ANTI-DUNDRUFF shampoo like H&S or Guard, etc...., and do not expose your hair to sunlight. Don't use wax or gel. Hindi ba may vitamins for hair? kasi may nakita ako sa Healthy Options na vitamins for hair, try niyo visit ang healthy options.

Correct me if im wrong but this is one option..

1. magpadeep prepare ka. it costs around 350 pag normal salon.

2. use golden fabulous conditioner everyday.

Mane n' Tail
for that SHINING SHIMMERING SPLENDIND HORSE HAIR look
kiddin aside , this shampoo really improves the volume and
shine of my hair and it looks very natural, no need for hair treatments
but it's kinda expensive 350 for the small bottle and around 650 for the big one

no need for those leave on thingies..

Yah pa rebond kayo. May Salon sa LAs Pinas City "JAPAN SALON" near SM sucat, MAganda silang mag Rebond, Cellophane etc. Naka promo sila ngayon. Any lenght hair rebond 1500, cellophane 500 etc. Basta pumunta nalang kayo dun. GOGOGO!!!!!!!!

According to hair experts, DO NOT SHAMPOO your HAIR EVERYDAY.
It will increase hair fall and make your hair dry
better use conditioner everday than shampoo everyday

I use imported brands of shampoo and conditioner. Ava Puhi Shampoo, Hydrating Conditioner and Anti-Aging conditioner. I spend around P2,000 every 2-3 months for my hair care products but it's worth it.

I love my hair.
