Sana Maulit Muli - 5.5/10

bad acting from the two leads, poorly written plot. the only saving grace from this show was Glydel Mercado's acting. heck, even Gloria Diaz acted like a noob here! And the ending was stupid, stupid, yeah, that stupid! *pukes at the Jollibee product placement.

Maging Sino Ka Man Book 1 - 8.1/10

This teleserye was explosive. And Anne and Chin Chin's characters are LURVE! This is the Pangako Sa 'yo and Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay for the year 2007. However, this teleserye also had its share of shortcomings. Too bad, the story dragged out in the end with the extended "pamumuhay-sa-isla-ni-Eli-at-JB plot."

Walang Kapalit - 5.7/10

The first week of this soap had a light feel to it which made it engaging to watch. But as with the other Deramas soaps which were shown in the Primetime, the story became ****-fest in the end. ang ******* ng characters nina Claudine at Piolo rito. Hahaha. On another note, Jody's portrayal of the mean, biatchy and catatonic Cynthia is classic! Very effective villain!

Kokey - 6.1/10

Again, this is a Deramas soap so I didn't expect it to be, you know, that solid at all. For a few weeks, this show delivered. But on the midway to the Paalam Kolokoy or whatever was the title of that ending, this show sucked BIG TIME! Nagkandaleche-leche ang story. even Eugene Domingo became corny in the end. Howell. And panira rin talaga si DJ Durano dito. I guess, wala ka talagang maeexpect na magandang show from Wenn Deramas as a whole.

Ysabella - 4.3/10

the cooking scenes were fun to watch at first. I thought this was a culinary-themed, Devil-Wears-Prada inspired teleserye, but I was really wrong. pamperya pala talaga ang story nito. Front lang ang culinary yadda-yadda. Nawala ang focus sa story simula nang napunta ang spotlight sa character ni Angelica Panganiban. that was just plainly unnecessary! And since this is a canned show, naku naman ang dragging! Poorly written and directed! Hayyy! ehem.. ehem.. And i hate to say this but i really think this would be better off if some new director directed this instead of the supposed veteran that is Rory Quintos. Cancel this show already! Now na!

Maria Flor de Luna - 8.4/10

I had low expectations for this show! the start was kind of uninteresting kasi oldies pa ang focus. Things started to brew though when the main focus was the conflict between Wilma and Flor. From then on, this show gained its momentum and the suspense factor which intensified until the end is reason enough to give this show a considerably high rating. Flor's death scene in the end was "tastefully" played out.

Pangarap na Bituin - 5.2/10

Can i just say that the pilot episode of this teleserye is very promising that it tops my list for the most promising pilot episode of an abs-cbn primetime soap?! Hehehe! Actually the first two weeks of this show were good! Ewan ko nga lang ba bakit naging dragging and stupid ang show na 'to afterwards. Siguro dahil mas naging thinly written ang characters ng leads at villains dito.. Hahaha. This show is a disaster - the ending inclusive! Ano ang controversial dun?!! and you know what! as much I love how Maja acts, she just can't sing straight!

Lastikman - 2.9/10

Bad special effects! Not so promising villains! Eto ang pinakatanga na show na ABS-CBN produced for this year 0r for the last 3, 5, or ten years! Ugh! i don't want to even blurt out more as to how ugly this show is. basta! Nasayang ang acting prowess nina Carmi, Dawn, Zsa Zsa, at Cherie gil dito.

Rounin - 5.8/10

This show is not as bad as Lastikman if it were to be seen on the technical perspective. Hindi nga lang siguro ganun ka pumatok coz ang dark ng story and the Filipino masses are not that ready for such approach para sa isang primetime soap. In all fairness naman to ABS-CBN, they tried to offer something innovative. problem was, they didn't have that much appealing storyline to begin with. At iyon na nga, pumalya!

Princess Sarah - 8.4/10

I love this show! Call me kiddie pero the kids are just amusing to watch here. Acting wise, medyo off nga lang iyong pagkawhiny ni Miss Minchin. Pero it's not that bad to blame her as to why this show doesn't have that good ratings! I hate Kalela and the frikkin Agassi here though. On a contrasting note, i love how the technical team is so detailed with the set especially the kitchen, etc. And the pacing of the story is fast enough to not bore its regular viewers. :0

Sino ka ba talaga? Hindi ako ikaw (sa PEXers na hindi naniniwala, check pa ang IP address :lol:) pero agree ako sa lahat ng sinabi mo.



SANA MAULIT MULI - It all started with that intriguing trailer, tapos dagdagan mo pa ng haunting music. You just had to watch this para malaman mo na kung paano mabubuhay si Jasmine. Anyway, I thought Celine Lim and that Bokbok kid were poor actors. Parang minemorize ang dialog nila at tumula sila sa barko. But when the pilot episode finally progressed and natapunan ni Kim ng fruit salad si Gerald *enter Sana Maulit Muli theme song* I was hooked! I'm not the type of person na kinikilig but talagang kinilig ako.

The first two weeks were great. Natalo niya ang Bakekang pero nung simulang namatay si Jasmine at bumalik siya, nagkandaleche leche na. Pinaulit-ulit na ang story! From "Ang Nakaraan" to flashbacks to "Sa susunod na episode," pinaulit ulit 'yung barko scene! The middle got really dragging, tapos siguro narealize ng management, kaya bandang huli, inedit na ng inedit hanggang bumilis na pero hindi pa rin satisfying.

WALANG KAPALIT - Again, hindi ko alam kung baket maraming may ayaw dito pero para din itong Bituing Walang Ningning at Gulong ng Palad--may beginning, middle and end. Kungbaga, naka-outline ang mga events at may aabangan sa bawat episode. Magaling lahat ng leads, magaling ang characterization (pati ni Vanessa at ni Miguel), nakakatawa si Moody, nakakatawa si Susan Africa and her pagiging fan ng soaps. Ang complaint ko lang, nabuntis si Claudine, nagmukha siyang yo-bab. Oh, and the ending sucked.

KOKEY - When I heard they were doing a remake of this, naturnoff talaga ako sa ABS-CBN kasi parang basura project na naman. The pilot episode was boring, typical drama garbage. Pero since it got rave reviews everyday here at PEX, I started to watch it. Sobrang aliw. From Eugene to the charismatic kids to the unconventional loveteam ni Redford at Ruffa, aliw.

But then Wenn Deramas started doing things at nawala sa priority niya. Simula nung lumiit sila Bong and Kokey at nagtake over 'yung bagong GMA director recruit, nasira 'yung story.

PRINCESS SARAH - I was ecstatic when I heard ABS-CBN finally answered our petition at ginawang remake talaga ito! From the veteran actors to the production design, magaling! Initially, the pirates subplot was really irritating kasi as a fan na pinapanood 'to nung bata pa, parang iniisip mo, "Ay, sinira nila 'yung story" pero as the story went on, nagintertwine ang dormitory story sa pirate story at naging exciting.

Ang complaint ko lang eh sayang hindi sila nakapagshooting sa talagang may snow. Hmmpfff. 'Yun pa naman 'yung exciting part.

TECHNICAL ASPECT: Pang pelikula... ganda ng BG music, yung themesong, nakakakilabot.... yung yellowish-greenish touch, at yung buong cinematography, pinaghandaan!

Wait! This is a Deramas show right! I will retract na rin siguro what I said last night that Deramas can't direct any good. This Sineserye though was okay[ly] directed. This show was fast-paced but the story just struck me off as uninteresting at times. I watched it from time to time and there was never a moment when I would go watch this show that I would stay glued to it till the ending credits. This show ran for six weeks though which was reason enough for this show to have a solid storyline. Hindi tinablan ng "extension virus"; thanks to the low ratings na rin siguro. The music scoring seemed bad at times though. And the recycled song from Hiram didn't help either.

I love the soundtrack for this show so plus points na rin siguro iyon. And the acting of Heart as Carissa and Alicia plus TJ's portrayal of the stern and evil doctor were commendable. I expected Cherie Pie's character to be more kick-arse though but her portrayal didn't surpass my expectation. Typical "villain-villainan" on Philippine TV. Panira lang talaga si Geoff dito. Hindi leading-man material. Sorry to fans. Acting aside, this show, like Palimos ng Pag-ibig, had a solid storyline. And again, hindi naextend so hindi naging leche-fest ang show na 'to.

I dunno with you people, but i actually liked this show at times. Perhaps, I liked this one because of Anne. Biases aside though, this show had a light feel to it. Walang kontrabida so hindi ganon ka-explosive iyong show. Hindi ganoon ka pulido iyong ibang scenes pero masasabi ko na mas more realistic ang approach ng Sineserye na 'to compared to the others. And quite surprisingly, Oyo proved that he could actually act in this teleserye. Yet, I think he just didn't have a solid fanbase for him to be catapulted into the roster of leading men of Dos.

Acting: 9/10 - Heart is outstanding in her portrayal of 2 diff.
individuals, TJ Trinidad shines, Great supporting Cast.

Story: 9/10 very good. I like the pacing of scenes and it's not boring and no kilometric dialogues that will put you to sleep, well adapted from and even better than the movie itself.

Technical: 7/10

Acting:9/10 - can't complain, all were good. Jericho and Cherie Pie truly are the best actors, first time to watch Sarah in a soap and she's very good. Maja and Rica too. Rio was a bit oa but good pa rin. Heart was excellent in her special guest role of Cassie.

Story: 6/10 - too many edits, loopholes, but some worthy scenes
along the way.

Though the story is unoriginal and the ending is so commercialized, it is still, for me, the best teleserye of ABS this year. Kim and Gerald really improved in their acting and the supporting cast is the best!! It was kinda short that's why it wasn't draggy... Basta, this is the best of 2007!!!
2. Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2. - 5.1
- it was waaaaaaayyy better than book 1. Angelica and Rosanna's character are so nakakainis yet relatable. Very effective indeed.

i know this show was directed by FM Reyes, the man behind MSKM1, and whonot pero this show is a total disaster! Akalain ba namang sinabak ang isang Wendy Valdez sa soap kaagad.?! And Bruce Quebral as the leading man?! ACK! Tuloy anlalamya ng acting ng mga pangunahing tauhan! Hindi relatable! Also, the way this show played out a prostitute's life was nowhere near to laudable/noteworthy. Even Elizabeth Oropesa and Di*k Israel weren't given very good roles here! Brilliant acting from Rosanna Roces, Ronnie Lazaro, and Roxanne Guinoo. So-so acting from Dina Bonnevie, Matt Ranillo III, Minnie Aguilar, Jake Cuenca, and Paw Diaz. Plainly bad acting from Joross Gamboa. the show was good at the start but with those unnecessary extensions, the show became repetitive, dragging and totally unappealing and unrelatable in the end. Naging circus of stupidity ang show na 'to from the middle and onwards. All in all: promising -> boring -> Heck end the show already!

Maging Sino Ka Man 2: Too early to judge. Let's give this show a chance. Hehe.

Though the story is unoriginal and the ending is so commercialized, it is still, for me, the best teleserye of ABS this year. Kim and Gerald really improved in their acting and the supporting cast is the best!! It was kinda short that's why it wasn't draggy... Basta, this is the best of 2007!!!
2. Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2. - 5.1
- it was waaaaaaayyy better than book 1. Angelica and Rosanna's character are so nakakainis yet relatable. Very effective indeed.
3. Maria Flor de Luna - 4.2
The story is boooooooooooooooorrrringgg!!! But the last two weeks rock!!!
4. Ysabella - 4.0
Extreme but okay naman ang plot and story...

Over all, it was a very bad year for ABS. Very cheap productions. Super low ratings...

Super low ko sigurong mag-rate kase this year, sobrang naadik ako sa Koreanovelas. Nag-elevate ang level ng appreciation ko.

Para naman maisipan nilang mag-innovate at maimprove ang shows na panghahawakan nila in the future. The management should also give chance to the new directors and writers na mas innovative mag-isip.

Best, most complete ensemble, maybe ever on Philippine TV. Not one single weak link which can be said for any show on the air today on any network. Plus it had an excellent story from the beginning, but didn't get the chance to fully tell it thanks to ABS-CBN's stupid and haste decisions. Could've been an even fuller story, lots of lost potential, but still did an outstanding job on all aspects.

Thank goodness this wasn't extended because it has a clear beginning, middle, and end. Otherwise it would've suffered from the "extension" virus that plagued other shows.
Plus the real winning points of this show are the amazing set design, costume design, and effort into really having an authentic setting true to the original story. And you can never go wrong with Sharlene.

I totally agree. Marimar and Marian are good examples (though lots of credit to GMA's hype machine too).


It doesn't matter how many big "stars" you have in a show. If they suck at acting and there is little to no story whatsoever, you are going to get embarrased. And that has happened to ABS many times, yet they never learn.

10/10 for sana maulit muli,,, why??? because first of all dahil newbies ang mga bida underestimated yung soap marami nagsabi na hindi maghi-hit pero ano nangyari eto pa yata ang pinaka successful soap ng abs na halata namang kumita nang husto ang abs para kasing hindi masyadong pinagkagastusan eh,, sana maulit muli is undeniably the most successful soap of abs na talaga namang phenomenal,,, although it is not the best....

For me, walang super gandang soap na nagawa ang ABS this year (2007).
But if I were to rate the ones I was able to watch... Eto yun:

MSKM1 - 7.3/10
+ maganda yung acting and script. madaming quotable quotes. :)
- draggy parts...

KOKEY - 5.5/10
+ enough to make the kids enjoy
- they could have done better in terms of production (hello sa kanyon na cartolina, at sa spaceship na gawa sa illustration board at aluminum foil)

WALANG KAPALIT - 4/10
+ good acting :)
- yuck lang talaga ang story and characters. pati props.

MARIA FLOR DE LUNA - 8/10
+ the best ending; good acting; moral lessons
- some OA parts

NATUTULOG BA ANG DIYOS - 7/10
+ way better than the other sineseryes
- some OA parts

SANA MAULIT MULI - 7/10
+ improvement sa acting ni gerald... kay kim... okay lang.
- hindi masyado maganda yung script in terms of dialogues. jologs masyado.. and too much commercialization

PANGARAP NA BITUIN - 6.8/10
+ exciting minsan
- inconsistent in terms of plot (anong nangyari kay emerald at terrence?)

+ magaling ang mga artista

Maria Flor de Luna and Maging Sino Ka Man Book 1 lang ang maipagmamalaki ng ABSCBN.

The first one showed that the viewers want a suspense-filled drama. And the second was really well-executed. (naging dragging, but it was well-written and directed)

Maria Flordeluna = 5/10 (from beginning up to the week before the finale), 7/10 (for the finale week)

Ysabella = 7/10 (start til bago nagpakita si angelica). 5/10 (onwards)

Pangarap Na Bituin = 3/10 (sayang sarah... sayang)

Princess Sarah = 3/10 (bad remake)

Margarita = 0/10 this crap of a show is as cold as a corpse.
