2 questions raised.
1st Q: Which schools have the most expensive tuition bills here in the Philippines?
my answer to the 1st.
I read in an article i believe in mla. bulletin, pdi or phil star probably 5 or 6 yrs ago.
1. UA&P
2. ADMU
3. DLSU
then their was assumption, san beda, st. scho., UST i think was not included or was found last in the list.
2nd question:
Is it all worth the price?
if you would honestly ask me the quality of education you would get and align that to the tuition and fees set by each intitution, i would strongly argue that UST would be my most recommended school. Since it offers lower fees but good and if not at par with other higher maintenance schools. thats quality education for me. But then again their is UP - but the topic raised is "Most Expensive Schools in the Philippines" to my belief is with regard to the tuition and fees.

International schools have the highest rates: .5 million or so each year, I think. I read that some international tertiary schools have similar rates, including graduate business schools and international culinary and HRM institutes.
You can probably decide if the tuition is worth it by looking for international curricula or programs (e.g., CK, AP, GCSE), most faculty having advanced degrees from top schools abroad, complete facilities (e.g., the place looks like an international school, with large libraries--usually up to two million books for a uni lib), small classes (e.g., around 12 or less for a language class), and so on. My guess is that the cost of having all these will be the tuition I mentioned above.

Sorry, but your figures for UA&p's tuition fee is overrated.
Kasi naman po
full load namin, which is 26/27 units will cost us more or less Php 54,000 then school fees namin mga Php 8,000- 12,000.

Depends on the course.

Some go as low as 30, others as high as 40. Depende sa course.
As far as I know, BS ECE (or is it the Triple Degree... BSCHM-BSCHE-BSBT?) ang pinakamahal na Program ng Mapua-Intramuros.
aeon_lure02: Sa Makati ba, ano pinakamahal?
I think if we're gonna get Mapua's fees, it should be based on the maximum allowable units (in Mapua), that is, 15 units. So using aeon_lure's posted GSA, it would go roughly P155K per year.

IT and CS yun pinakamahal sa Mapua Makati, P1,730 per unit so ang isang subject P5,190. yun ibang program naman nasa 800-1000 per unit ***..

ang mahal ng tuition n'yo. kaya kayong mga naka-angat sa buhay, mag-aral kayo ng mabuti. ang daming mahihirap na magaling, hindi nga lang nagamit at na-improve kasi hindi maka-afford ng tuition. the gap between the rich and the poor in the philippines has totally widened.

Sabi nga, "If education is expensive, try ignorance."

Coincidentally or not, these are the 4 of the 5 best schools for undergraduate education in the Philippines.
Looks like money plays a very important role in (quality) education.

COLLEGE EDUCATION has become unbelievebably costly in the Philippines, since most colleges have gone corporate (read, run like a business).....case in point, there was a time when foreign students used to flock to Manila because cost of college education back then was considerably reasonable (yes, cheap!), I have classmates from Indonesia, Malaysia and Iran during my college days!
.....but it's a different case now..seeing here how high the fees have become........goodness how can ordinary Filipinos afford college education now?
...for example what happened to the tuition fees of Mapua eversince YGC took over...it sky rocketed!
Yeah, education = business

Great! :naughty:
In Mapua, the huge amount of money we pay goes back to us through good facilities, school materials and, for me -- LIBRARY BOOKS.
I don't need to go to other libraries because the books our libraries have suffice my needs. Mapua has a great collection of engineering references -- one of the best engineering libraries! *okay*

Ibang level ang international schools, IMO. Hindi na dapat yun sinasali sa usapan kasi senseless lang din, and I guess what you pay for when you go to international schools is yung facilities.
I think pinaka worth it ang money mo sa top 4 schools.

If one considers tuition as cost, then it's probably PMA: around PhP 2 million per cadet, or around PhP 500,000 a year for four years? If different types of tertiary education are included, then perhaps one should consider AIM, various international culinary schools, etc. And if we include other year levels (given the title of the thread) we should add various international schools, too. More or less, it looks like schools with tuition of at least PhP400T a year or a certain amount per unit.

^ I can't see the reason why we need to discuss this matter. For one, tuition fees do not equate to quality education. Even if Ateneo and DLSU, among the most expensive schools, are one of the top schools in the Philippines it doesn't follow that all other expensive schools are of good quality education. Sure enough that these schools may have the best facilities and classrooms but that doesn't entirely affect the educational product.
But if you insist, it depends. DLSU has the highest annual fees. Ateneo has higher semestral fees.
