Nagtingin ako recently ng myphone sa mall. Kaso ayaw pa-test ng sales person yung unit. Hindi ko tuloy alam kung maganda yung interface/ software. Parang nakakapanghinala.
Anyway, may balita ba kayo kung ok sya? Very limited lang mga reviews kasi sa net.
Kung ok sya, gusto ko sana bumili

for dual sim phones, I am just curious, let's say you have globe and smart sims, can you use it simultaneously in that 1 phone, or do you have to activate one sim after the other one?

Just bought a myphone T22 today. A gift for my hubby.
Seems okay okay, so far.
But of course, it's a always a drag learning how to navigate a brand new phone and I've always been a Nokia Baby.
2 sim cards can work simultaneously as soon as you insert those in the sim slots, you don't have to switch your unit on and off to transfer from sim to another.
It has a 2MP camera but quality is not the same with known brands such as Ericsson and Nokia. Pero hindi naman camera ang habol namin dito since we already have a digicam.
Built-in memory is only 2MB and it can only support up to 1G worth of expanded memory. (Alam ko 2G yung max pero you will need to upgrade the software which is not yet available pa rin naman ata, ayon sa website).
I like its physical appearance kaso parang prone to scratches yung battery cover but it's sleek and not so heavy.
Haven't checked the sound quality.
I'll know in a few days kung ano rin ang 'sakit' in phone nato. =).

Okay ba *** firmware (*** parang Operating System ng fone)?
Na-meet ba nya *** mga dapat na phone essentials? Like:
- can have JAVA applications (may mga MIDP versions pa un diba?)
- can play MP4, 3gp, AAC, (given na dapat *** MP3 sa isang ordinary phone.. kung ala nun ibalik mo 'yan.. Hehe..)
- does bluetooth transmissions
- has phonebook and SMS memory on its own(di dapat umaasa sa memory ng SIM card)
- can have images as wallpaper (and screensaver perhaps)
- can have audio files as ringing tone

yup it works simultaneously, that's why it's tagged as "dual active", unlike the china phones that you have to switch from one sim to the other.*okay*

My friend has a myphone, which I was able to play around with. It's not sexy at all, and not so easy to use compared to Nokia & SE phones I'm used to. You have to always signify which SIM kasi you're using.
But I guess it beats carrying around 2 phones ...

clarification lang guys. the MyPhone is a locally-designed phone, by the Solid Group of Companies nga, and its manufacturer is reportedly Sony Ericsson. The Dual Sim phones na china, those are the ones na usually TV-phones. :)
naghahanap lang din ako ng reviews coz I'm also considering yung TCL na brand, which is carried by Alcatel; it's a joint venture daw.
The MyPhone T22, yung cheapest I've seen so far is at 9k. The TCL is 7980+.

^ Because of that article, I am leaning towards getting the TCL A288 phone na lang, because when I tried it, it looks more solid than the MyPhone, and it seemed like a great buy. If not, I guess I'll just get separate phones. :p
The most complaints I've read for the MyPhone were the fact that it is cumbersome/mahirap to use, and also, the fact that the camera isn't too good daw.
So, we'll see, if there will be better phones to come out soon. :)

saw this site (http://dual-sim-phones.blogspot.com) that had a review of i think all of the dual sim card phones available in the market except CECTs or china phones. it's useful if you're deciding which you will get among those different models.

I bought this S22 phone last february 2008 and have been using it since. I bought this phone specifically for the dual active sim feature, and it delivers in that aspect. But I recently got to hate this phone because of it's VERY POOR RECEPTION. I use a smart line as the primary sim and a sun sim as the secondary card, and I work in Ilocos. The area I work in has admittedly weak signal strength from smart, and this results in garbled incoming audio during a phone conversation. My friends' phones (nokia or sony) have better signal reception when I put my sim into their units, so I know it's the phone that has the problem. But if I am at a location where there is a strong signal from smart, the reception is acceptable. Texting is also "sluggish" as the delay between keypresses and when the character appears on the screen is slow. The keyboard responsiveness of the nokia 2100 is MUCH BETTER. This phone is quite good if you primarily use your phone to make and receive calls, and you are in an area with strong signal from your mobile carrier. Otherwise, you will probably end up like me, frustrated and ready to hurl this phone out the window.

I was wondering, my charger broke and the charger for this phone is a micro usb. can i buy a micro usb charger at some sony service center or shop?
i can go to any mall in manila, but prefer the ones near lawton/quiapo or the ones in ortigas.
i really NEED to charge >_>

meron na ang Samsung na dual sim D880 ata yung model. mukhang ok.
MyPhone unit heats up and I end up getting a headache after using it for 2 days.
Switched to a Samsung D880 with my Sun and PLDT Wireless Landline Plus for almost 7 months now with no issues.

agree with gadgeteer...Yung MyPhone pagmga 2hours kang nakababad masakit nga s ulo kala ko nga magkakaallergy ako as mentioned sa news regarding prolong usage of cellphone.
Anyway, meron din ibang china phone that works simultaneously 4k lang meron din "nag dual sim ka pa palipat lipat ka naman dapt isang sim lang an on eheh"..yun nga lang medyo ingat kung bibili kasi maselan pag bumagsak..nagiinsert sim agad...aliw lang gamitin kasi you could text and call using both sim and pwede ka rin tawagan with either number...pero buy those that are orig na lang...mura na rin naman...
