Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) - all time fave; main storyline is the best (especially the jinchuu arc, too bad it wasn't animated properly); Himura Kenshin is, personally, one of the most tragic, ironic and yet triumphant heroes ever...

Flame of Recca - another great anime; not really excellent in any aspect, but brings about more than enough of comedy, depth and entertainment... too bad they didn't animate the whole manga... more of a sentimental choice really...

Slam Dunk - a great mix of everything positive in manga and anime; comedy, tension, depth, memorable characters... all in a somewhat 'unconventional' setting for an animated format... sakuragi is the ultimate 'underdog-turned-hero-cuz-of-harwork' for me...

Gatekeepers - a short-lived anime, yet i really got hooked into it; the animatios was top-notch and the story was potentially great, but wasn't fleshed out as much as i had hoped... another sentimental choice...

You're Under Arrest - wow i loved this series; who knew cops could be this cool and this hot?; story was good as well, and comedic element was great... very entertaining

Ravemaster - Haru Glory reminded me of Cloud from FF7 and Kenshin; anime was great though like many others did not flesh out the whole manga... had a good run though and kept me really interested while it lasted...

Bleach - my current anme addiction; quite conventional story about a normal guy who gets entangled in a web of unusual danger /intrigue and gets great powers, but still very entertaining; funnier than RK, but (so far) not as deep; Ichigo is also not as mature as Kenshinm but he's only 15 afterall... haven't gone past ep72, but so far it has the potential to be one of the great ones

Rurouni Kenshin aka Samurai X - all-time favorite. This anime's message was powerful. You can never correct your past, but you could atone your present and make a better future not just for yourself but for the people around you.

Himura Kenshin aka shinta - the most tragic hero in anime history. Too bad he died not because of his battle scars but because of a disease.

AYOKO lang sa samurai x e after nung kay shogo amakusa, pangit at corny na ang story...lalo na yung feng shui arc. Yung kay Inishi na lang sana....

Slam Dunk - too bad la interhigh, sa manga lang sya. kaya daw di pinakita sa manga after nung THE SHOT ni hanamichi kasi la na maisip na perfect ending yung creator. Ok yung nangyari sa last featured game.

Details, details:

1. Slam Dunk : Quite possibly my most favorite one. It wasn't a perfect series, but at least it delivered. Sakuragi was an unforgettable protagonist (however he seems cliched to everyone, which to me, is not), and quite a heap of great side-characters. (Mitsui love, baby.)

The plot is standard 'underdog wins in the end', but done with great timing. (Hey, even in the end Shohoku... well... find it out for yourself. ^^) And even after ten years after it ended, I still clamor for more.

Besides, isn't Eiji Sawakita the greatest rival any player could have?

2. Gundam Seed: Yeah, so much hate, but I love how they portrayed the 'there is no good side in a war' plotline. Overlooking all the bad the 'anime' had is a silver lining that you'll want to go over and over again. And then, there was Destiny. So, maybe not my 'MOST' favorite one.

3. Rurouni Kenshin : Reflections : The only anime that made me cry. No anime made me cry, ever. (Except this.) Seeing how Kenshin grovels to go back to Kyoto broke my heart; here was a hero just a channel and a half later kicking so much ***, now he succumbs to an illness no man could cure.

4. Noein : Oh, yes, even though I have no perfect understanding of quantum mechanics, I love the idea of multiverses, and set on a great story, it's one enjoyable, if tiring, series. The portrayal of destiny v.s. choice always gets to me, and this time, choice won! (Suck that, sisters of fate!)

some of my faves are:

Fullmetal alchemist - The beautiful storyline that deals on science fiction, politics and sociophilosophy is very interesting and intriguing as well. Very Funny and heart-warming too.

Deathnote - i like the twist and psychological warfare so with those skulls and gothic stuff :D

Trigun - I got hooked with its sort of space western or sci-fi western style. Fun to watch with it's comic relief and stimulating to follow with the way the series progresses from light to dark to a dramatic tone as mystery reveals. The main character, Vash, is very appealing too.

Hunter x hunter - amusing plot, interesting characters, storyline is not typical yet easy to absorb, fun and light-hearted tone.

Appleseed - now this is actually an anime movie. The plot is great! I like its combination of sci fi, politics, war, action and romance. Graphics and animation quality is superb, action scenes are impressive and the story's romantic side is very touching..

I used to think that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was the best anime I've seen but then I saw Code Geass. It's so Machiavellian that I fell in love with it immediately. For me this anime is perfect from beginning to end.

napanood ko to nung highschool pa ako, at di ko ko magrasp ang istorya ..papagulo ng papagulo hanggang ending :D di ko na inulit panoorin..or maybe im one of those 'shallow viewers' :D

Wah! Ako rin, nasa high school lang ako nung napanood ko 'to sa ABS. Marami rin akong di maintindihan sa EVA, di ko alam kung dahil sa deleted scenes or shallow viewer lang talaga ako. Hehehe :lol:. Pero wala na kong balak panoorin ulit yung series. Pinanood ko lang yung "The End of Evangelion" dahil gusto kong malaman kung anong nangyari kina Shinji, Rei at Asuka.
