What is more exciting than the second meeting of the two foreign NCAA players? Korean San Myeon Lee of Perpetual and Nigerian Sam Ekwe of San Beda will again meet this Wednesday afternoon after that controversial entangle in the 1st round that resulted current MVP Sam Ekwe to be suspended and disqualify in all individual awards. That means we will have a new MVP this season. The two that engaged in a kicking incident in the first round after San Myeon Lee undercut Sam Ekwe while attempting an alley-oop dunk.
Red Lions will try to repeat against the Altas as they will try to hold firm of the top spot going into next round. Expect San Beda Coach Frankie Lim to have its 2nd or 3rd unit extend their minutes in the playing court as they don’t want to lose their steam going into their next match against the Knights.
Altas should never be underestimated because they are playing without pressure. Altas are already out of Final 4 contention but the Las Pinas based squad is no push over as they just came from a win against College of St. Benilde. Rookie Franz Dysam and Mike Kong will go for the upset against the top seeded Red Lions.
