What if it happened to your school?
let's stop deviating from the issue
stop viewing things in the MICRO sense
by criticizing Frankie Lim
Yes, Frankie Lim's actions are uncalled for
but how would you explain the actions of the JRU players
OR the decision of MANCOM to suspend Aljamal
and You'd see players like Gabby Espinas, Aaron Aban and Leo Najorda who were stll able to play in the NCAA despite participating in the Rookie Draft and being Drafted in the PBA
What if the MANCOM suspended
Kelvin Delapena for participating in the Rookie Draft and the JRU players give 3 unsportsman like fouls in their game against the Cardinals?
What if the MANCOM suspended
RJ Jazul for particiapting in the Rookie Draft and the JRU players give 3 unsportsman like fouls in their game against the
Knights?
let's stop blinding ourselves
and deviating the issue to Frankie Lim
Remember this
If it happened to us
It can happen to you

But
what's At Stake Here
Is Not Merely San Beda's Title Campaign
But The Credibility Of The Ncaa In General.

For the Mapua and Letran people
I want to hear your side
I know you've been dragged into this mess
being a part of the NCAA
(the legal battle between San Beda and MANCOM)
but let me leave you something I quoted from Ronnie Nathanielsz'
collumn
San Beda was left with no choice but to seek redress in the courts for what seemed like a terrible injustice both to the team and the player by the NCAA management committee, which should, in the first place, merely set the goals and the guidelines and allow its commissioner to run the league and decide on issues of eligibility, violation of rules, etc.
we had no choice but to fight them in court
because INJUSTICE was brought upon us
IF IT HAPPENED TO US
IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU

What if Gabby Espinas, Aaron Aban, Boyet Bautista and Leo Najorda followed the guidelines and obtained mancom's approval for their inclusion in the PBA rookie draft?
anyone from Letran or PCU can anwer this question?

The injustice was not SBCs monopoly. It is on the entire NCAA population because of tactlessness by MANCOM,obviously precipitated by envy and personal interest. We should take it from the idea that whoever is the host is most likely the one on the driver' seat.

^ nevertheless, there was no clear cut policy written about such a permission so no biggie.

Bedans I'll try to play devil's advocate here because I'm a little confused. I understand the passion and emotion of the beda community especially when they think one of their top players is being targeted.
Now, is there really no rule? I think MANCOM is claiming that there is a rule or requirement that if any NCAA player of a sport will play (in the same sport) a tournament, contest, league, OR GAME, the permission of MANCOM is required. Ito ang sinasabi ng MANCOM. Clearly Aljamal played in a GAME I guess sponsored by the PBA. Even Advani admits to it when he said exhibition GAME lang iyon. Also it looks like all the previous similar situations involving CSB, Letran, Baste, PCU players and representatives sought the permission of MANCOM that they are entering the DRAFT and will be participating in pre-draft games. The apparent overlooking of this requirement is difficult to justify because there is no precedence. Looks like lahat humingi ng permisison - Aban, Bautista, Salvacion, Espinas, etc.
Then ang usual recourse pag hindi agree sa MANCOM's desisyon dapat sa policy board mag-a-appeal. In fact it looks like the policy board was in disagreement with the MANCOM decision. Instead of this bakit naman sa korte pumunta hindi sa policy board? I am not on JRU's side. In fact if they conspired this whole thing shame on them but we can't objectively prove this. I'm just looking at the MANCOM side and it looks like their claims has some legitimacy and should not just be dismissed.
Ngayon (bedans huwag kayong magalit sa akin), hindi ba all these could have been avoided if only Aljamal and his reps went to MANCOM or called MANCOM and advised them that ALjamal will play in this exhibition game just like previous players in his situation did? Napakahirap ba itong gawin? I'm scratching my head.
Anyway, I'll stop now I know the bedans are emotional. I just wish Aljamal will play come August 31 and just like the first contest let's hope it will be as exciting.
Animo San Beda!

ah so all the previous PBA draftees got MANCOM's permission..so why didn't Al Jamal notify them? ..i know it's obvious he's going to get drafted already, pero is it so hard for him to tell mancom personally?
