WORK ON GETTING A CHAMPIONSHIP? ALJAMAL IS NOW SUSPENDED FROM PLAYING AT THE NCAA TIL THE SEASON ENDS. WHO WILL NOW LEAD THE SBCRL? My Pick: MENOR or ESCOBAL

This is very bad.
This is exactly what fires up a team that (whether admit it or not) would be otherwise nervous to face a new and improved JRU.
JRU would know that the Red Lions would be riding on adrenaline and a wave of emotion.
This is exactly how a team gets sparked emotionally where the result is that anything can happen. With or without Al Jamal, the Red Lions are deep enough (as hopefully everyone from SBC would agree after saying it umpteen times) to win without him. Now they have a reason to win. To beat a team that you already beat is not a reason to win. To beat a team because you think there's a conspiracy against you is a "reason" to win. Anyone who knows their sports history knows how dangerous is a team that lashes out in a rage or plays on a wave of emotion. If you suddenly consider yourself the underdog, even if you still are not, you become twice as energized as ever before to prove yourself.
This is definitely not good. Even if JRU wins, everyone will rail on and on that they only won because he was out...and nobody in their right mind wants to win when there is an excuse.
Even if San Beda has the emotional edge, Al-Jamal is Al-Jamal, and he's a good player. Emotion is dangerous, but it might not be enough.
So there's two sides to this coin, and I'll be the first to admit that nobody will be 100% happy about the outcome to the remainder of the season since there will always be reasonable doubt. If rules were broken they must be enforced....but it doesn't matter to those who will instill doubt. I've had to personally battle people all year about why I took JRU. The emotional ones never want to listen or know the facts. Now everyone will say that not only PCU wasn't around this year, but now Al-Jamal is gone, if that's indeed the case.
Even if we must follows the rules, sometimes neither side likes the outcome.

huh? Are you sure that Aljamal wont be able to play
coz Gabby Espinas and other NCAA players were still able to play despite being drafted in the PBA... Here's what I got from wikipedia...
2006 PBA Draft
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
The 2006 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft is an event, which will allows teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The event was held at Market! Market! in Taguig City on August 20, 2006. The Sta. Lucia Realtors have picked first. Players applied for the draft underwent a weeklong rookie camp overseen by assistant coaches from five PBA teams.
5 Gabby Espinas Philippines San Miguel Beermen Philippine Christian
7 Aaron Aban Philippines Alaska Aces Letran
9 Boyet Bautista Philippines Purefoods Chunkee Giants Letran
The Championship game series of season 82 season was held last Sept 26 and Espinas still played
while Aaron Aban and Boyet Bautista played for the Knights in their final four encounter with PCU which was held during the 1st or 2nd week of Sept...
The three players were not able to join the UAAP-NCAA
all star game though...
Nevertheless, I think Aljamal can and will still play for the
Red Lions till the season ends....
All the way to the finals!!!

^Yes. i also thought of those but JRU is the host and coincidentally SBCRL's opponent later this day. i believe they will do anything in their power to delay his apperance and improve JRUHB's chance of winning. Possible Scenario: the mancom(JRU possibly influencing other members) may declare aljamal suspended., right after jru's win or lose attempt, annul the suspension then raise the defense of miscommunication or anything of any sort. nothing is impossible.. pulitika din naghahari sa collegiate basketball.
***Edit***ALJAMAL still not eligible to play..

I completely agree with the cited observation. The MANCOM should have reviewed NCAA Rules before coming out with their decision. They should have been more aware of its repercussions. Good Luck to us all...
