hello! i know a lot of us are huge animé fans... not only of the manga and animé but also of the music as well...

so what's this topic about!?! i'm wondering as to what you guys have to say about anime/Jpop and who/what are your favorite!?! :|

if you ask me... I LOVE SAKAMOTO MAAYA!!! :inluv: i mean she's one of the most beautiful and soulful acts i've ever heard... in any language! i also love Takahashi Youko, Mawatari Matsuko, Siam Shade, TM Revolution, Bonnie Pink and L'arc-en-Ciel.

I also love the soundtracks of Escaflowne and Rurouni Kenshin (as in I listen to it a often as possible) :D

:p :p :p

yes. i have to agree. sakamoto maaya is very good.

I like the way she rendered Yubiwa (ESCA). IT's in the top of my list.
her voice is just oh so irresistible.

J-pop/Anime songs are waaaaaaay too better than english songs.

:D

I love Olivia Lufkin... I'm actually working with other fans on a site dedicated to her music right now.
It'll take a while before this site (www.olivialufkin.com) will open though.

Masaharu Fukuyama, Luna Sea, L'Arc En Ciel, Hamasaki and Hikki, you can add Mai Kuraki, Glay, Suzuki Ami... those for me are the best JPoP artists to come around.

as far as anime music goes, i especially love the tunes from card captor sakura, hare toki doki buta (shown here in the phil. as sunny pig), weiß kreuz, detective conan, gundam wing & rurouni kenshin as well. as for japanese pop, i've been very much a fan of that genre; my most favorite artists would be (in random order): the yellow monkey, the brilliant green, m-flo, triceratops, aikawa nanase, hamasaki ayumi, l'arc~en~ciel, bonnie pink, globe, puffy, kiroro, do as infinity, bird, kuraki mai, gackt, pizzicato five, hysteric blue, utada hikaru,... the list goes on & on.. :sweatdrop2: (hehe, dami, e, 'di ko na gaano maalala yung iba...ahehehe)

basta yun.... man, i really miss my mp3 collection. :(

AYUMI HAMAZAKI- I'm sick and tired of hearing..."Diba siya 'yung kumanta sa Thousand Arms?"...yes...she did (Opening Song: Depend on You)...but pleeeaseee... She's one of the top divas in Japan... and some otakus just knows her as the girl who sang for thousand arms:mad: sheeesh.

Mga dating Jpop turned Jrock:
OLIVIA LUFKIN -formerly from that cute pop group D&D...got pirated by famed composer, Tesuya Komuro
HITOMI- the girl with the 'tude!!!

NAMIE AMURO -the girl that got me into j-pop!
fave songs: Can you Celebrate, Walk in the Park, Chase the Chance, You're my Sunshine.
She was on the top until she got reckless and got pregnant by TRF's (Tetsuya Komuro Rave Factory) dancer, Sam
HIKARU UTADA - redifined Jpop for the new millenium!!!
Did you guys read the Hikky article on Time?:)
CHARA - not really a looker... but her voice....wow.
TOMOMI KAHARA- got some nice songs. resembles Namie a lot... I think she was Tetsuya Komuro's girl friend...

JROCK
YELLOW MONKEY
Fave Songs: OK, Stone Butterfly and uh...Tactics.
L'Arc -ah yes...the band that Rurouni Kenshin made popular here... also took part in triggering some pinay otaku's obsesion for androgenous men...
BUMP OF CHICKEN- It's the name...
TRICERATOPS- this one too...

JPUNK
very amusing... I heard some from my friend, a couple of years back...I wonder where I get some titles...

other jpop/jrock you should also check out...
don't limit yourselves to ONLY anime music...there's a lot of great stuff out there!!!
AIKAWA NANASE
SPEED (NOW DISBANDED. CHECK OUT THEIR SOLO ACTS!)
FAVORITE BLUE
ELT/ EVERY LITTLE THING
TRF
GLOBE
ZARD
X
NORIKO SAKAI
KIRORO
MORNING MUSUME

amen
have you seen the video of Sea Me (i might add this video in this site (www.olivialufkin.com) Im working on with other olivia supporters)? i thought she was prettier nung D&D days niya but after I saw this one, wala akong masabi. Solid rocker na talaga sya :D And she looks damn good doing it...

nerc0:- havn't seen that video yet:(
btw, If you use to have JET TV, they showed videos of D&D back then.
I use to watch this show in NHK a couple of years back, called "Music Jump"... It was the starting ground for girl groups like SPEED. Also featured regular guests such as MAX and Hitomi and of course, the show was co-hosted by the super Kawaii - D&D!!! :) Olivia, Aya and Chika! Too bad the show got cancelled as D&D got disbanded.

The site looks cool, I can't wait for it to be finished! for the meantime, Olivia fans... check out this site Gihren's Olivia Lufkin Site (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Ring/1806/)

Help naman people, please.

Meron ba sa inyong may MP3 ng Sayonara Bye Bye yung version ni Matsuko Mawatari (128 kbps or better)? Ito yung second ending theme ng Yuu Yuu Hakusho (yung extended version nung mismong nasa TV series). I've been looking over the 'net pero wala akong mahanap. Yung nasa Audiogalaxy iba ang version.

Reply naman kayo agad kung meron kayo. Salamat in advance.

Can't you encode the song to MP3? Ito na lang kasi yung YYH ending na wala ako. I need it right away kasi I'll have my important files burned to CD. And I doubt na pahihiram mo sa 'kin yung CD.

Try to look for the "YEN TOWN" album. It contains CHARA songs from the movie, "SWALLOW TAIL BUTTERFLY".
Does anyone know any CHARA mp3 links???

Just PM me or reply to this thread as soon as you've encoded it (I need it kasi ASAP like I said). I have some software here that convert music CD's to wave files then to mp3. Yun nga lang, sobrang bagal. 5 minutes to convert to wave file and an hour to convert to mp3 for a 4-minute song (at 128 kbps). 3 years ago ko pa nakuha 'to kaya medyo 'medieval' ang approach. And besides, my PC is not high-end; ito lang ang kaya ng PC ko.
