bro, parang your post misleads pexers into thinking that the said schools are just having high tuition fees, as it generates such idea.

they may have high tuition requirements but such requirement is well payed off. do you think the parents spend their child's tuition on nothing? i dont think so.

sa bagay, nagtatanong ka lang naman kung ano ang basehan ng pagiging top 4 ng mga schools na yan, but i have to agree, they are probably tops ON SPECIFIC FIELDS of the academe. SPECIFIC means may specialty kumbaga.

im not clear about which category does mapua, san beda, letran and st. benilde falls to be considered the tops in the ncaa but as far as the NCAA is concerned, maybe dris suggests that they are formidable in terms of athletics.

ah, if i remember it correctly, the top universities here in the philippines include Silliman University (Negros Occidental). maybe you pertain the top four universities as MEMBERS IN the UAAP. so it does not contrast to the idea posted by dris that the top 4 schools in the NCAA are san beda, mapua, letran and st. benilde.

as to what you suggest that DLSU ADMU UP and UST ARE the TOP FOUR in the UAAP (only, coz you really have to include Silliman) category.

during my high school......after each games at the old Rizal Memorial, we rumbled and fought outside...bashing is part of NCAA..and we consider UAAP as boring..that's also the reason why La Salle and Ateneo left NC to join the UAAP because of violent bashings..San Beda almost wanted to join them..but as one of the original NCAA team..they opted to stay....bash is part of NCAA..matira matibay....should say it's mainly ..pride and immaturity...mostly they are High school students..years later I watched NCAA after College..and from the moment i got out from the Mapua side of the Rizal Memorial..I see high school kids waiting outside ready to RUuUuuMMBLEEE..and because they see me as way older than them..they never even bother to touch me..otherwise grrrr.. I WILL RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN..hehe..i was just kidding....I've been there as a high school student and every single game i joined the so called RUMBLE against the opposite school's hs counterparts..i should say "bash" will never die...NCAA will never be the same without " bash"..you matured with it and you became stronger .

The top 500 universities were chosen from among 15,000 educational institutions worldwide. To be part of this elite list of universities, the institution has to meet several stringent criteria, including faculty-to-student ratios and ratings given by more than 3,000 academicians and 700 leading international employment recruiters.



The University of the Philippines (UP) was the highest ranked local school with a global ranking of 299 and 47th among Asian universities. Behind UP in the list are three private universities: De La Salle (392nd), Ateneo de Manila (484th) and the University of Santo Tomas at 500th.
