Most likely is she is a pure Chinese but her full name is Sharon Santiago Yu (according to DLSU). Maybe the ancestors of her mother were forced by the Spanish to change its Chinese surname to common Spanish surname. That's why Sharon's middle name is Santiago.

When it comes to the UAAP, I've always been a solid Ateneo supporter. I've grown to "hate" the green side of things. But whenever they focus the camera on sharon yu, me and my friends can't help but shout GO LA SALLE!:rotflmao:

Funny experience, one Ateneo-la salle game, we did this stunt and got a weird look from some of our fellow Ateneans. We pointed at the big screen and when they looked at the screen, then looked back at us, they had this concurring smile.

What was your most embarrassing experience on the job? This story never gets old. I think it will be passed on from courtside generation to courtside generation. I was terribly sick during the UE DLSU game round two last Season 70, but I couldn’t miss that game! At the first quarter, I was wondering why my hands kept shaking, considering I wasn’t nervous at all. Turned out I was already hyperventilating and when the game went into overtime, I couldn’t feel anything anymore (good thing my job was done). I had an anxiety attack and I still kept inquiring if we were winning! Next thing I knew, a bouncer carried me off to a stretcher.

What’s the best thing about being a courtside reporter? You get to go inside the dugout while the players are dressing up. I’m kidding! My parents will read this.

As expected din, ok yung pics nung Nosebleed. What surprised me though, was the content. I expected something either too artsy or too corny.

Waaaah... Sharon's saying goodbye, there goes the petition to retain her as next season's courtside reporter. Kidding aside, Sharon is now my favorite La Salle reporter and I wish all the best and luck on her chosen career. Her two year stint is one of the best and I will miss seeing her on my tv screen. Hope that the next reporter will as lovely and excellent as Ms Sharon Yu.
