For me long shots...specially those made "beyond the marker" as they say it...are more facinating to watch than slams...

At last no bashing....
Three pointer of course...dunking is easy especially for tall players considering how near the player and the goal is..Its a dumber if you miss a dunk
But a three pointer....aside from the mathematical advantage over a slam dunk dunk...It takes mastery of shooting skills to perfect it...

Wow...I actually agree with my "buddy" the attyatlast here!
Dunks can be cool (for the first 1-2) but there's nothing as breathtaking as a 3-point attempt. In my case, I hate it when my team (past or present) takes 3-balls with the exception of a few players since I'm an ugly-ball lover...but when those rogue shots go in, it's glorious
There's also nothing more nerve-wracking than a wild 3-pointer that will send a game into overtime or to steal a victor in a come-back by an opponent.
Love it or hate it, that 1-2 seconds of hang time by a 3-ball is an eternity compared to the fraction of a second of a dunk.

The "pure shooters" i recall are Adriano Jun Papa...William Bogs Adornado...Alfie Almario (of the Philippine Team to the Asian Youth Competitions held in Manila..where former First Lady Imelda Marcos even congratulated Alfie personally for his shooting...I think the Philippines won the title that year)...would Freddie Hubalde be considered a "pure shooter"?...

For me, a Slam Dunk!!! A Slam Dunk can be a wake up call to your sleeping teammates and to the crowd. And also a Slam Dunk can bring a message to your opponent that you can beat him all the time. Or you enough said, "You Can't Beat me!!!" :grrr:

Anyone (as in anyone) can make a three point shot, not anyone can dunk... give a short guy (who has never played ball and cannot jump) 100 attempts and he will probably make one three point shot! give him a million attempts to dunk it will still be impossible to complete one. Thus the dunk is more exciting since not everyone can do it.
It also depends on the situtation too... a clutch 3-pointer is more special than a breakaway dunk during the 1st half. Just my two cents...

Slam dunk syempre! Karamihan ng mga basketball players yan ang pangarap! Ang makadakdak! Hehe! , and shooting naman kasi naidadaan sa practice yan eh, pero ang dunk, kung mataas kalang talagang tulamon, tsaka mas mahirap talaga ang mga work out sa legs para lang tumaas ang talon mo! :D

Jason Kapono and Steve Nash are fascininating to watch especially when they hit those 3pts shots, same as in slamdunk. For me, its fascinating depends on the situation when they needed it.

one can be more fascinating to watch than the other, depende sa situation. kaso slam dunks tend to find their way more in top 10 best play countdowns than 3 point shots. hehe.

Look at the topic, yeah tama ka na mas masakit ang 3pts kesa sa dunk kasi syempre 2 pts lang ang dunk, pero ang pinag uusapan ay kung anu ang mas magandang tignan... Pero sige, opinion mo yan eh... :D

For me depende sa sitwasyon at kung hinihingi ng pagkakataon, kung fastbreak, pos open, SLAM dUNK.... Kung habulan naman ng puntos 3 Pointer. But for me siguro 3 point shot

Depende sa situation eh. Slam Dunk pa din... Paano kung 2 hands slam then 3 yung sumabay? Diba? Kung dying sec. mas mahalaga ang 3 pts. Kung 5 mins pa. tapos tambak ka ng 10 pts. Slam Dunk. Pampa buhay yan eh.
