I'm really having a hard time staying motivated to study. At first I'm really excited to hit the books... but as time flies it's harder and harder to maintain my momentum... I'm actually reviewing for the board exams so the quizzes given by the review school has no "direct" bearing... so there's no pressure... and that's what I'm afraid of.
I know this has been my problem ever since... I do good on the first few weeks but as time flies I get less and less motivated. Then one day I'd just wake up and realize that it's all too late.
Could you guys please share how to maintain your momentum and your gusto to study hard? Do I need some sort of visual motivation? I feel restless and irritated when I start to study so I'd end up sleeping or doing other things besides studying.
Please share your tips... any help I'd get here will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just think of all the millions you'll be making as a nurse in the US. :glee:

You're probably not interested in your major.

You have to love what you're reviewing. Stay alert and sharp. And of course, pray. It helps.

Una sa lahat, pray. Then keep in mind:
"I have to do this or else I'll fail".

Being recognized by my professors/teachers always gets me motivated to study every quiz. It all started when I got the highest score in one of our exams(without actually reviewing). And when the professor announced, "Someone got a perfect score. Batutin!", it felt soooo good, to the extent na hinahanap hanap ko na siya. Para na siyang drugs! Medyo mayabang at mababaw ang dating, pero yun talaga ang major motivation ko to study.
And from a slacker/freerider during my 1st year in college, I pushed myself to the limit just for the sake of recognition! Fortunately, I have landed four consecutive times in the Dean's List.
Juntrix, think of the end results of the hours and hours you've endured (e.g. high grades, recognition, etc). No pain no gain, ika nga
Goodluck!

You just have to learn to love your course.
That's the best motivation that you can have. Kasi pag gusto mo yung kurso mo, sisipagin kang magaral.
That having said, invite your peers and engage in study groups. Mas mahirap magaral ng magisa. Maski magdaldalan kayo most of the time, I bet you'll at least pick an item or two out of that study group session.
