transferees seeking admission to any program in any up campus must meet the minimum cut-off grade set. i guess for diliman and manila it's 1.75. not sure of it though. t'was way back 2005 when i was still a student in up. better call any up office for a more updated info. you may get some of the contact #'s through up's site, www.up.edu.ph. good luck!

from the general information bulletin on freshman admission:
If no UP campus can accommodate you, you can enroll in a college or university other than UP. After earning 33 academic units with a weighted average of 2.00 or better on the U.P. marking system, you can apply for transfer into a UP campus. Again, each campus has its own rules on transfer and accepts only a limited number of transfer students. Information regarding transfer to UP may be obtained from the Office of the University Registrar of the respective U.P. campuses.

well to start off, you need to look for program first. Courses and colleges have different entrance requirements and criteria. Some only consider the subjects that could be credited to the curriculum while others have additional tests, so you must be prepared for those. Most importantly, you need to have good grades and good reasons for going to UP. A lot of people are competing against you for only a few slots, remember that. For the good reasons, well, some of the colleges require an interview for admission so if you could present a compelling case, they might consider you despite other factors. A good place to start is the Office of the University Registrar in any campus. In Diliman, all of the requirements are listed by program. Also, consider other campuses because more or less you still get the same educational experience so dont be limited to the big campuses although they also have advantages in terms of diversity. Bonne chance!
We look forward to welcoming you as an Isko/Iska!

That is a misnomer. I have not known anyone got accepted to UP as transfer with a GPA of 2.00. Even a 1.5gpa is no longer an assurance these days, much less 2.00. I think it's about time that UP should change that information because it only creates false hopes to many UP aspirants.
