A 96% passing rate is hardly something to be ashamed of. Poor showing in the top-10? That's just cherry on one's ice cream.

Most pathetic is claiming to be the NUMBER ONE PRIVATE SCHOOL. Now that's a lot like saying UP isn't there to torment you. At least Thomasians try for one-upmanship, even against a vastly superior UP. Ain't that right, green boy?

Lagi na lang nag-aaway tungkol sa board exams. most of the time hindi importante kung sino mga asa top kasi kung titignan niyo kunti lang talaga yung differences sa scores nila. ang perfect na thing to do is, if you guys could, get the scores of the examinees from each school then compare it to the rest. so kung yung isang school with only, lets say, 3 examinees, lahat sila asa top percentile ng test-takers, one could say na magaling sila and their school. One could get the average score din but outliers should be removed. Mas mataas ba yung average grade ng isang school dun sa isa, and so on. Passing rates and topnotchers are a superficial gauge of a school.

And also UST has like a 72% passing rate, SLU did better with 76%.

on being maitim:

on the 26 'lang??!':

palibhasa hindi kayo nabigyan ng oportunidad na malasap ang demands ng UP eh. kaya hanggang hypothetic claims lang kayo. how could you even presume if you look at these things from an unknowing outsider's point of view?

Non-existent. There are reviews but no such thing as pre-board. In most instances, these reviews are offered in some places near UE along Recto. There are no segregations that defines a student from UST, UP, FEU, Mapua, or any other. Everyone are grads with the degree of B.S. Architecture.

its not really preboard perse.
(eg.1st-3rd)
tapos pag di ka nakapasa, uulit ka.
yun yung sabi samin.

Non-existent. There are only pre-requisites of subjects before taking other subjects (be it minor or major). For instance, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry needs to be passed before one moves up to Calculus (integral and differential) as well as Architectural Engineering. No special test required nor preboard as described. Any Archi student (or any student for that matter) who has backlogs of subjects can always take petitioned night classes, summer classes, or take a class of the same subject but different college (uncertain since the only time I was in a different college was when I took advance summer classes of minor subjects like Spanish in Commerce Building as opposed to Engineering Building were CAFA was housed). Heck, I even have classmates on my 4th year who still has minor subjects lagged in 2nd and 3rd year.

I played it safe back then. To name a couple, my advance courses were Spanish and ROTC. I can't take Spanish 2 without passing Spanish 1, as well as taking Spanish 1 and 2 at the same time (not allowed). I took Spanish 1 in advance for reasons that I wanted more time to devote on major subjects like Design.

ROTC permits anyone to do either catching up and/or advance classes. It's just one lousy summer. A single MS course is equivalent to two (2) weeks. Since I took MS11 and MS12 on my first year, I took MS21 and MS22 on the summer after my 1st year. Sure, I was ridiculed by some classmates going to the beaches during that break. But when the start of the school year came in, I was growing my hair longer than usual, I'd sleep 'til noon on a Sunday instead of getting up at 5AM just to get to the parade grounds, and I would return the favor to those who ridiculed me back then.

As a joke, I'd tell people I was a Lasallite studying in UST. Tri-mester (1st sem, 2nd sem, summer). :glee:

not me for sure... try to read on my previous posts from different UP-UST rivalry threads and you'll know i don't discard the dact that UP is a great school.

Ikaw? Can you say na hindi mo binash ang UST, kesyo sa sport lang sila magaling or something, with a straight face or a clean conscience? Hmmm... I don't think so. That could have been easier and more believable. But no, you have to deliver claptrap tirades designed to insult people. Sigh.
