hi there, just want to ask if any of you are using epilators??? I have been reading about the effectiveness of epilators but i do not know a particular person who had used this product...they said that it is better than plucking, shaving, more economical than waxing, and really better than other depilatory products...

could you share your experience???? i wanted to buy one and contemplating between Epilady and Braun

hope to hear from you :D

i have one...been using it for the last 7 years...sa una masakit pero you'll get used to it...i love my epilator...i use it on my underarms and legs...pansin ko kumonti ang hair ko sa legs...siguro sa tagal ko na rin gumagamit nito..philips ang brand nung akin :)

it's really economical kasi parang waxing ang effect niya...i bought mine for 2th...and that was 7 yrs ago na ha...e pag nagpawax ka ng legs ngayon nasa 500 di ba?? so sobrang sulit na talaga yung akin

im just curious on how an epilator works? how does it remove unwanted hair? cutting or removing hair from the roots?

it removes the hair from the root...

this is an electrical device used to remove hair by mechanically grasping multiple hairs simultaneously and pulling them out. The way in which epilators pull out hair is similar to waxing.

so expect finer hair upon its regrowth...for me it will be more economical than visiting the salon at a regular basis just to remove my unwanted hair...but be warned that this is painful for first timers especially if you haven't done waxing before

just dont know which brand to go huhuhu:mecry:

thanks cicay.i actually searched the web about epilators right after i posted the question. now the question is where to get a good one. because here (the phils) im not sure it's that popular. im planning to use it on my underarm and not the pubes area.will that be ok?

anyone out there know where to buy a good epilator?

hi there...i discussed this epilator with my friend then she told me that she bought one a month ago and just forget to brought up the issue since we we're not able to see each other for a while...the brand that she had bought is BRAUN, she commented that it is really great, painful at first, just like waxing, but you will get used to it (tayo pang mga kikay gagawin lahat in the name of beauty hehehe)...the one she have is the bridal set...its a complete set, it has an epilator specifically for the pube area...ang cute parang toothbrush lang ang dating hehehe

addicted13 hope you'll get one...have you tried at watsons??? tagal ko na din kasi wala dyan satin...

update mo ko sa price range and brand/model na nabili mo...

you guys might wanna check this out, smooth skin for 4-6 weeks! (pricey --well, what's not--but looks worthy)

http://www.remington-store.com/product_detail.asp?CAT=women&SKW=remepil&T1=REM+EP%2D4000

Although, Bad news: they don't ship anywhere but US and Canada (at the moment). But I bet this'll be up @ebay sooner or later.

I've never had a wax and never used epilators (takot ako eh). Question is, when you use epilators ba, how's the growth of the hair afterwards? kasi pag nag-sh-shave ako, matigas yung tubo.. kakainis nga =(

and does it come with a cream or some sort?

im also curious about the regrowth of the hair?

addicted13 & purelyche - if you'll use epilator, the hair regrowth will be finer just like in waxing...even in pubes area...no itchy feeling unlike when you shave it...pag shaving, hair regrowth is usually thick and may tendency pa na mas dumami sya and *** tubo nya will be longer than usual kaya yikes hehehe

purelyche - ive checked out remingtons epilator...and it so promising...ill check product review in regards with this brand and try to compare it with other brands...

btw, i've tried brazilian wax and grabe super painful sya but the result is rewarding...you will not feel itchy sa hair regrowth and at the same time, the regrowth was finer...try nyo hehehe*okay*

wow thanks! now Im relieved! kasi naman I always thought that my hair regrowth (after shaving) is all 'cuz of my genes or my unhealthy lifestyle (hindi kasi ako nag-b-breakfast and I have sleeping problems). :hmm: so usual pala talaga yun

I was goin to review remingtons and thought of finding its competition but I didn't (and prolly won't) have time.. so thanks in advance if you could keep us posted

righty sis...kaya ko i dont shave anymore...what i hate about shaving is its being prone to side effects such as nicks, cuts and ingrown hairs.....bilis pa ng regrowth:grrr:

correct sis, don't sacrifice the quality, you will use it in the long run...aanhin mo ang mura when it will just not be worth it, better spend in a one time deal than regret having an inferior one and money will just be wasted....Go for quality hehehe and remember para sa ikakabyuti natin toh heheheh :p

I saw epilators in Rustan's Essenses in Shang. They have the classic ones which are battery operated (around 1700) and the blue one, gold caress if im not mistaken which sells for 3299. Any feedback on braun epilator model 2170? thanks
