- De La Salle University-Manila
- UP Diliman
- UP Los Baņos
- UP Cebu
- Asia Pacific College

Whoat? Seryoso ba ito? Bakit? Sayang naman, from being the best tapos biglang mawawala? Labo. San pupunta yung first academician ng computer science in the country kung mawawala na CS? :mecry:

Out of topic: And adjective extinct po, yung verb yung being na, so no *ed. ;)

iilan na lang ata ang faculty ng LB, from the last time I heard, they had less than 5 or 10 members in their faculty...

thanks for the correction.

UP-ITTC is more like a "preparation-for-industry" training center than the traditional CS Dept. that conducts research. Still, their certificate 1-year program is top-notch. Its like this: If you wanna be in industry, its a good idea to study at UP-ITTC. If you wanna be in the academe, study somewhere else.

APC is good. Got two (2) guys who were fresh grad that time. Best employees and smartest of all.

Ateneo? yup! their good pero conotic hehehe
DLSU? hhm i doubt! maganda facilities yes.. and also much more conotic than Ateneo.

- UP Diliman
- UP Los Baņos
- UP Cebu
Wala pa ko nakikitang nag excel sa IT from these schools. Mostly magaling sa office politics yun lang.. breeding grounds.

- Angeles University Foundation
- Cebu Institute of Technology
- University of Cordilleras

Never heard of people in these schools so no comment ako... but from experience, there are a lot of good IT professionals from the provinces now.

Kung nasaktan ang mga taga ateneo, DLSU at UP, sorry na lang kayo pero yan ang totoo... base sa 10 years experience ko sa IT not including pa dyan yung non-IT specific jobs and offshore jobs.

If you want to be hired easily in the best IT companies... you better be a graduate from UPLos Banos, UP Diliman, Ateneo de Manila and De La Salle. Most IT companies have biases during the pre-selection of their interested applicants. :)

Among the list are Mapua, PLM, UST ... and sometimes even AMA

I used to teach at Asia Pacific College, and I am proud to say that most of our graduates from IT has had a high chance of employment. The 6 months internship program (tied up with multinational companies) is good for the students so that when they graduate, they will have real work experience with them.

Hmmm... Sino kaya yung mga taga- DLSU na nakilala mo? If you go around the CS building, you'd find the most unconyotic people of all. Parang mga Engineering students namen. Overworked... Never conscious. Ang maaarte lang namin na lalaki sa DLSU ay ang mga business people.

Usually, DLSU IT grads get jobs in multinational companies. Marami sa kanila nag-e-HP, Shell, etc. Yun kasi ang mga companies that go to school to hire them.
