A total of 1,737 out of 2,656 examinees (64.4 percent) passed the licensure examination, the PRC said.

The exams were given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao this month.

The University of the Philippines has the highest passing percentage at 99 percent (141 passed out of 142 examinees), followed by the University of Santo Tomas at 91 percent (298 out of 327 examinees) and the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, 82% (155 out of 188 examinees).

Congrats to UPM. I think this is the best performance in UPM in the last 4 years. The real test will be on 2009 - that's the time when the first batch of Organ System Integration (UPCM's new-fangled curriculum) takes the boards.
