Let's see now, there's University of the Philippines-Visayas (Iloilo), University of St. La Salle (Bacolod), Silliman University (Dumagete), University of San Carlos (Cebu), Mindanao State University (Iligan), Xavier University (Cagayan de Oro), Ateneo de Davao University (Davao), and a host of other good but underrated schools.

it depends upon the fields of expertise of a school...MSU sytem is very good in engineering and math, xavier university in teacher education, medicine, business and accountancy, arts and sciences, nursing?uhhhmmm.1st time palang *** nag 100% last december 2006 with 149/149 passing rate...ateneo de davao, law..
san carlos is a very good school too,i dont know with their accountancy cos i think san jose recoletos has the crown for it...

kasi the stigma is kahit UP nga siya sa Visayas nga lang naman ;)


the flagship college of UPV is the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences but ang entrance ng students ay masyadong mababa like this year para sa buong collge 25-30 students lang ata kaya problema talaga ng UPV yan kasi they are maintaning a very expensive flagship college

What programs they are good in? Well in Iloilo, BS Accountancy is good may retention program, retention grade is 2.0

BS Public Health sa UPV is okay also :D
