i dont believe that stepping on other people's shoes just to promote your own is a good way of advertising, its so desperate knowing that one is up against 2 major educational institutions. its so pathetic.....brave but still pathetic,,,i mean la sallians, ateneans,,,thomasians,,,,upians are scattered on all corners of the world. even ratio and proportionizing all informatic grads abroad vs each of the schools alumni in probably every country is no match....so informatics - who died and made u feel like elvis?

thomasian speaking....

do you guys even know someone from that school? i mean, someone who really made it big...

well, in reality, it's easy to look for a job, kahit hardinero ka, trabaho pa din yun.

i know sum1 who teaches english there.. in fairness, mayaman sya, may sariling kotse, etc. siguro malaki sahod nya as a prof sa informatics. english major. pero *****! kung uminggles, dudugo tenga mo... sabi nga ni miriam santiago: "kailangan mong tiisin ang mga grammatical errors pag kausap mo!"

Jul 5, 2007, 07:57 PM
yuck... grabe naman makapag-advertise yan, harap-harapang bastusan na yan sa ibang schools ah. baka naman yung job na sinasabi nila diyan eh taga-hugas ng pinggan...

Maiba lang ng usapan, La Salle or Ateneo are also well known in other countries. In Singapore, particularly in IT, both schools are known to recruiters and IT companies. I guess the good showing of Filipinos in Singapore particularly in the field of IT helps in making these schools known.

In the US, Ateneo or La Salle are only known by a few. In other words, skills and experience are worth a thousand more that schools reputation if any.

UST and UP since both schools have medical field courses they are well known in the medical field area. Doctors, nurses, PTs, OTs etc.

Just a thought, since we are talking about globalization, is it the right time for Ateneo or La Salle to open schools outside of the philipines. Maybe starting with Asean countries. Just a thought.

Dont include La Salle schools or Jesuit schools, kasi madami yan. Pero yung ang main school is in the Philippines.

The fact that the ad is creating mixed reactions here, Informatics has succeeded in selling itself.

Selling itself to people from ADMU and DLSU? I don't see ourselves going to Informatics for their global opportunities anytime soon

Hay ako rin! Naalala ko pa dati nakikipagtalo pa ko sa owner ng MSA kasi lahat ng teachers pati yung owner pinagpipilitan na noun yung HE "because it is used as a noun" - edi ibig sabihin there's no such thing as a pronoun kung ganun :grrr:

My cousin (who was an atenean) had to transfer there because of financial problems. Sa awa ng diyos, wala ring kwenta ang informatics. She's now contemplating on going back to ADMU to finish her degree if not get a culinary course.

I know of some people who got kicked-out of Ateneo because of low grades, transferred to Informatics, and got back in Ateneo because of their high grades in Informatics

Very tacky... they shouldn't have mentioned other schools' names just to make theirs look better. Evidently it's not working...

I'm more concerned about the misleading ad na after 2 years na pag-aaral sa Informatics eh pwede na mag-abroad. Companies abroad usually hire Pinoys because of their relevant work experience
