Ang lupet nito! fave track ko *** Break on Through ng STP. pero i just have one comment ba't walang Pearl Jam, dapat sila nalang kaysa *** wlang kwentang ripoff band nila na Creed. Di bale nakajam nanaman ni Eddie Vedder ang mga living members years back and he sang three of the most beautiful and jim na jim morrison version of break on through, light my fire tsaka roadhouse blues, pero dapat Pearl Jam should have been included here! :) anyway its a great album definitely worth listenin while taking drugs! joke! :)

the doors fan ako, pero di ko pa nabibili yung compilation ng 6 cds yata yon sa tower... i believe if jim and i lived in the same era we'd be soulmates...
he is the most amazing man i have known.

wasted_gurl: dont cry over that eto suggestion ko bilin mo nalang *** MP3 CD compilation ng the Doors lupet nun complete albums ng the Doors nandun, pero itong new released na tribute album bilin mo na syempre original, two thumbs up plus a **** ang rating nito sa akin! tsaka i really believe that jim the lizard king influences most of the better vocalist in the crop this days, and im talking about guys like ed vedder and scott weiland. The doors on the other hand has also a big influence to lots of lots of bands existing presently and they are too many to name. :)

i agree with u lasingero. kaya lang mas artist si jim, his lyrics and poems sear the emotions.sayang masyado nang na-commercialize and commodified ang music...
may alam ka bang band na magaling mag-cover ng doors songs?

i dont have this album yet but from what i heard, is it true this album isnt really a tribute coz almost all the songs here (except for i think one song) are played by the remaining members of The Doors...the diff i think are the vocalists...

Is that true? That means Robby Krieger, John Densmore and Ray Manzarek are back? Wow! This I gotta here!

Roadhouse blues , Riders on the Storm and Break on Through are 3 of my favorites.
I saw the VH1 Storytellers event. Great show. I think All the singers who sang with the band did a great job. Scott Weiland was awesome and so was Ian Astbury of THE CULT, who sang "Whiskey Bar".
About the "Stoned Immaculate" Doors tribute cd. If you like the doors, you gotta have this Cd.I dont care if you have to trade in your Pearl Jam cd's for this one, you gotta have it! lol

i absolutely luv the doors! i have a huge poster of jim baby and another of the band in my room. but i think the new release is called "stoned immaculate". just one downer though - the album would be better off without CREED! gawd, i saw them perform with robby krieger in woodstock '99, and FEEL NA FEEL ng vocalist ng Creed na sya si Jim Morrisson! DUH! i dont have any qualms about the other versions like the one STP did for break on through. galeng! pero, sobrang tanda na ng itsura pala ngayon ni robby krieger!
btw, you should also check out this book about jim morrisson - no one here gets out alive (i think that's the exact title, altho i could be slightly wrong cuz its been a while since i read it). it's a revelatory book to the life of the lizard king. like, what a great poet and artist he is, that he's a frustrated filmmaker, the women in his life, and did you know that he always asks every one of his friends to pick any book in his room and read the first line, and he could guess the title of the book right away? AMAZING!
anyway, my favorite doors song of all time is "touch me." i really look forward to getting stoned immaculate, and also 2 of the new albums the doors are releasing on the web.
also, have you heard of fatboy slim's new song called "sunset (bird of prey)," featuring jim morrisson on vocals? apparently the song was an unused doors song, and fatboy slim dug it up somewhere.

 i read that Scott Stapp claims he saw an "indian" sa crowd during one of his shows. and i just thought "obssessed na kay jim morrison to a!"
but still, i like creed. though i haven't heard the stone immaculate album yet, i know it'll be good. i love the doors, too and i had a pleasure of meeting ray manzarek 2 years ago at a book signing at my work at that time. :)

CREED SUCKS BIG TIME! nakakainis yang bandang yan! ang hilig manggaya like for example *** ala Lizard King feeling nyang si Scott Stapp! not to mention the Eddie Vedder impressions he had done in the past na up to now e kinaiinisan ko, ***** di naman bagay sa kanya ang haba ng baba nya! :)
About my fave song, cant answer it directly kasi ang rami kong type pero one of my fave coz of personal reasons tsaka i can relate to the lyrics very much is the song The Crystal Ship! :)
Chickity: nakakaingit knaman na meet mo si Ray! :)

"People are Strange" is not on the Stoned Immaculate CD. I don't think it was performed on the VH1 Storytellers show either. hmmmm strange indeed.

It's not on the "Stoned Immaculate" CD but Echo and The Bunnymen did a faithful rendition of "People Are Strange" during the new-wave days.
