RICA Peralejo is now an enterpreneur. She has put up her own company, R. Peralejo, Inc., to manufacture and market her own beauty soap called Rica's Deepest Secret Calamansi Whitening Soap. At its launching at Dulcinea, she clarified that the rumor she has broken up with boyfriend Bernard Palanca because of Iza Calzado of GMA-7 is simply not true.

"On the contrary, going stronger than ever ang relationship namin ni BJ (nickname of Bernard)," she stresses. "I don't know how that rumor started, basta it's not true. We've been together for three years and the truth is he helped me grow a lot at never kaming nagkaroon ng problema. Someone says their relationship is really in danger now that she has launched her own beauty soap. Two actresses who have also endorsed or launched whitening soaps later on broke up with their respective boyfriends soon after. First was Kris Aquino, who had a bitter fight with Joey Marquez after launching Kissa soap. Then there is Janna Victoria, who broke up with Dominic Ochoa soon after launching her Janna soap.

Hello People!!! Im back!! Akala ko, kahapon, makakayanan ko na makipag-PEX after all that i went through, naku,hindi pala.... nakakahilo pala yung your dealing with needles the whole day! More than the wisdom teeth taken out, mas masakit at torture pala ang EMG test. they stick a needle into your nerves, or muscles, tapos hahanaphanapin nila kung may mali sa loob by parang scraping it inside, habang nakatusok talaga sayo *** needle, haaaayyy. before pa that, parang kukuryentehin ka pa with their little scary gadgets, haaaayaaaayaaaay!!! dun ata ako na-drain. nung inalis naman wisdom ko, 2 lang daw pwede, natakot kasi doc ko na baka hindi kayanin ng three days lang ang healing pag apat agad. eh may commitments na ako after this three-day off na nahingi ko. so baka sumabit ako sa work kung sakali na magkalagnat ako. although, tingin ko ****, kayang kaya ko apat eh. nakakapagsalita na nga ako ngayon eh! naawa lang siguro yung dentist ko sakin, hehehehe. mamaya, papapost ako ng hosp pics ko ko, hahahahaha. right now, im groggy pa ng konti sa dami ng medicines, plus pa yung para sa nerves ko. i am recommended to take that EMG test every six months, ganun. pati cholesterol ko at lahat lahat na, pinapatingnan sakin dahil Diabetic parehong nanay at tatay ko, pati lolo at lola. so chances are, malamang, may ma-mana akong complications from them. plus pa the fact that sobrang abused na katawan ko sa work daw. i should take it easy daw and try to be lazy sometimes. ang problem ko kasi, kahit wala na akong trabaho, i still wont sleep early. mangangalikot pa nang kung ano-ano. do many things, edit videos, fix my room, eto, internet, hehe. kasalanan ko din naman kasi talaga... masyado akong hyper. hahahaha. :)

Stress-related

EVEN if she has been bleeding profusely for a few weeks, actress Rica Peralejo still honored her commitments.

She told Inquirer Entertainment that she had attributed the bleeding to an abnormal menstrual cycle. But when the bleeding continued for another three weeks, Rica decided to consult a doctor.

Rica had to undergo a trans-vaginal ultrasound, which she said had been very painful.

"That test was very painful. I was told that my ovaries were just in a confused state, and the whole thing was stress-related," she confided.

Abortion rumors

She is now laughing off rumors that she had an abortion.

Workaholic Rica Peralejo's various commitments have taught her to be very versatile, but she reveals that the past few months have been marked by various health scares. The actress-singer-host admits that constant worrying and the physical strain that comes with the demands of the job has taken a toll on her body.

But she is thankful at the sensitive and respectful treatment she received when she was in terrible pain: "I was asked very quietly at the hospital, 'Ma'am, do you have a history of pregnancy? Or abortion po?' It was funny because even if I was asked aloud, I really didn't care.

"At the time, I was just in pain, I wanted everything cured already. Everything is stress-related. My hormonal system wasn't functioning properly. They analyzed and explained the results to me; I was told that some people don't get it, but others bleed a lot when they're stressed," Rica explained.

More recently, Rica has been feeling a frightening numbness in her right arm.

"I'm a candidate for carpal tunnel syndrome. I think you get it from excessive use of the computer, or over-exertion with sports. There are days when my hand can't hold anymore, it can't work at all," she said.

She was tying her hair when her arm just dropped. The memory prompted her to imitate Uma Thurman's once-comatose character in "Kill Bill."

Rica said she tried to regain control of her motor functions through sheer will power.

"I was telling myself, 'You can do it, Rica!' But my arm kept dropping," she recalled.

She is currently having this problem fixed, and the treatment has been addressing these temporary nerve-limb malfunctions.


Doctor on call

Despite her medical complaints, Rica has continued working, not allowing these health hitches get in the way of her regular appearances in three ABS-CBN shows, "ASAP Mania," "OK Fine, Whatever," and the new daily show "To The Max."

"My vocal chords are developing a nodule because of excessive talking. When I started doing "To The Max," I got malat (hoarse) because it's really hard being a host. It's a reality-based show. You have to be hyper and energetic. But I'm getting my health back, little by little," Rica says, smiling.

She finds doing a soap series like her recently-concluded "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," relatively easier than her current hosting chores. The long shooting hours for the drama were expected, unlike her new volatile schedule with the reality-based TV show.

"I'm like a doctor on call. That's the hardest thing about doing a reality-based TV show. Everyday, I get text messages to go to different places at different times," she said.

Coffee addict

Stress-related

EVEN if she has been bleeding profusely for a few weeks, actress Rica Peralejo still honored her commitments.

She told Inquirer Entertainment that she had attributed the bleeding to an abnormal menstrual cycle. But when the bleeding continued for another three weeks, Rica decided to consult a doctor.


Rica had to undergo a trans-vaginal ultrasound, which she said had been very painful.

"That test was very painful. I was told that my ovaries were just in a confused state, and the whole thing was stress-related," she confided.

Abortion rumors

She is now laughing off rumors that she had an abortion.

Workaholic Rica Peralejo's various commitments have taught her to be very versatile, but she reveals that the past few months have been marked by various health scares. The actress-singer-host admits that constant worrying and the physical strain that comes with the demands of the job has taken a toll on her body.

But she is thankful at the sensitive and respectful treatment she received when she was in terrible pain: "I was asked very quietly at the hospital, 'Ma'am, do you have a history of pregnancy? Or abortion po?' It was funny because even if I was asked aloud, I really didn't care.

"At the time, I was just in pain, I wanted everything cured already. Everything is stress-related. My hormonal system wasn't functioning properly. They analyzed and explained the results to me; I was told that some people don't get it, but others bleed a lot when they're stressed," Rica explained.

More recently, Rica has been feeling a frightening numbness in her right arm.

"I'm a candidate for carpal tunnel syndrome. I think you get it from excessive use of the computer, or over-exertion with sports. There are days when my hand can't hold anymore, it can't work at all," she said.

She was tying her hair when her arm just dropped. The memory prompted her to imitate Uma Thurman's once-comatose character in "Kill Bill."

Rica said she tried to regain control of her motor functions through sheer will power.

"I was telling myself, 'You can do it, Rica!' But my arm kept dropping," she recalled.

She is currently having this problem fixed, and the treatment has been addressing these temporary nerve-limb malfunctions.

Doctor on call

Despite her medical complaints, Rica has continued working, not allowing these health hitches get in the way of her regular appearances in three ABS-CBN shows, "ASAP Mania," "OK Fine, Whatever," and the new daily show "To The Max."

"My vocal chords are developing a nodule because of excessive talking. When I started doing "To The Max," I got malat (hoarse) because it's really hard being a host. It's a reality-based show. You have to be hyper and energetic. But I'm getting my health back, little by little," Rica says, smiling.


She finds doing a soap series like her recently-concluded "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," relatively easier than her current hosting chores. The long shooting hours for the drama were expected, unlike her new volatile schedule with the reality-based TV show.

"I'm like a doctor on call. That's the hardest thing about doing a reality-based TV show. Everyday, I get text messages to go to different places at different times," she said.

Hi Kixee, I hope i can also visit you sa ABS o kaya watch ako ng taping mo. I am talking to my mom who's in US now & I told her that you have been answering some of my posts here at di sya makapaniwala. She's asking if magkakaroon ka daw ng show sa Ohio while talking to my mom bigla kong naalala yung lola ko who died last July 2003, favorite ka nya at si bj. Kaya nga lang daw sya nanonood ng Kaytagal ay dahil sa inyo ni bj at gwapong-gwapo sya kay bj. imagine 75 y/o na yung lola ko pero nababanguhan daw sya kay bj. Tapos sabi pa ng lola ko manang-mana daw si bj kay armando goyena, syempre era ng lola ko yung lolo ni bj kaya nakita nya ang comparison. I time nag-leave ako for 1 week sa province namin at alam mo bang pagkatapos ng kaytagal tsaka pa lang kakain ang lola ko ng dinner kase favorite nya nga ikaw at si bj. Haay naku naka-cry na naman ako kase naalala ko ang lola ko. She's the one who raised me kase. Anyway, my friend and I were on the process of putting up a coffee shop business and we will be experiment some blend on coffe, definitely we will be using batangas cofee (barako) kase taga-batangas ako. Pag ok yung mga blend namin, dadalhan kita ng coffee so you can taste naman yung local coffee namin sa batangas.

wow when i read your post i thought you were a relative of mine, because my lola also died last year in July. My lola also watches KTKH. The only difference was that my lola was 89 yrs old when she died. My family and I went back to P.I to see my lola while she was in the hospital. Even when she was there, she was still watching KTKH. I know how you feel. My lola was the one who took care of me when my parents were at work. she didn't want anyone including my parents to punish me when i do something wrong. So it was really hard to let her go.
Anyway I thought I'd share it with you cause I really freaked out. I thought you were a relative of mine.

It was only yeaterday nga ng maalala ko yung sinabi sakin ng lola ko na gustong-gusto nya si rica at bj tapos andami pa nyang comparison ni bj kay armando goyena. Until now ang hirap-hirap parin pag naiisip kong wala na sya. Pag nanonood sya ng Kaytagal soap noon, nandun sya sa kaharap-harapan ng tv kase mejo malabo na ang mata nya ultimo mga damit ni Helena pinupuri nya at lalong di nya tinantanan sina rica at bj ng last season I remember one time may pupuntahang lamay ang lola ko pero di nya sumabay sa mga kapatid nya dahil manonood pa sya ng kaytagal. I display nga yung pic namin ng lola ko dito sa office minsan kinakausap ko nga, nakakaiyak parin. Biglaan ang pagkamatay nya ist and last attack at wala syang sakit kase alaga ko sa check up yan talagang nagleleave pa ako pag magpapa-checkup yan. Kaya nga yung mom ko pumunta ng states 7 weeks after my lola died kase lagi syang umiiyak. Ng mamatay ang lola ko kadadating lang ng mom ko from US at 3weeks pa lang silang nagsasama.

Sana naka-recover ka na dright kase ako hindi ko parin matanggap. Im still crying

UUUUYYYYY!!! Miss nyo na pala ako dito...hehehehe. Sorry po mga friends. sobra akong naging busy, as in! tuloy tuloy ako, from asap, to assunta's wedding na buong araw ako hindi nakakain kasi ang pangit ng nails ko nun dahil nabali yung isa sa rehearsal ko the night before kaya naglast minute manicure pa ako. finally, when we got to the church, okay naman. walang masyadong hassle, kasi konti lang naman ang tao. although sana, hindi mahalata sa footages na tawa kami ng tawa nila Claudine, Nikki at Ciara!! kasi naman, ang init sa loob na pati bintilador pinabubuksan namin sa mamang hindi namin kilalala, bwahahahahahaha!! :) it was fun, kaya lang nung reception time na, grabe na talaga ang gutom namin. as in, hindi na kami makangiti ni Claudine. Hanggang sa hindi na matiis ni Claudine, kumain sila nji Raymart sa labas, sa ibang restaurant, oh diba, nakakatawa yun?! :) ako naman, inubos ko muna yung appetizer nila na empanada at bread rolls with butter.... mga 7-10 empanadas din ang naubos ko bago magsimula ang totoong kainan nung nught na yun! kaya nyo yan??? date ko si FAFA BJ that night, tapos si Nikki at si Ciara naman, walang mga ka-date. kami lang ni Claudine meron. ngek. ang daldal ko talaga. pati mga walang ka-date natsismis ko na dito. bwahahahahahahahaha!! may katangahan lang ako nung night na yun... hindi ko pa pinkuha si BJ ng pics nung nasa church kami. eh sa reception, kino-confiscate ang cameras!!!!! diba bwiset??? so ang mapopost ko lang na pics dito ay yung kami kami nalang ni Nikki sa reserved room sa amin sa makati na shang... kami lang and BJ. syaks. kaka-bad trip talaga yun. kala ko pa naman, sa reception kami magpapakasaya, diba?? so dun sana ako mangunguha. hay. di ko tuloy nakunan ang mga lola mong iba....tsk, tsk, tsk. ternoterno pa naman kami ng damit.

anyway, aside from being busy, i got sick na naman ulit. pag uwi ko from Assunta's wedding, parang masakit na throat ko. thought id feel better the next day. Monday naman na, i was taping okfine, lalong lumalala. na to the point na parang nagkakalagnat na ako habang gumagabi... then i realized that Nikki was sick days bbefore pa mag wedding ni assunta. so pwedeng nahawa ako from her kasi mababa na nga resistensya ko cause of my wisdom teeth taken out tapos i cant eat well. walang masyadong panangga sa sakit ang katawan ko lately. so, true enough, when i went to the doc yesterday after doing to the max, and before going back for thye finals, yun nga ang mga sinabi nya sakin. at sobrang maga ang throat ko, tonsils ko are like paula's daw bago nya (my doc) in-operate at tinaggalan ng tonsils ang kapatid ko. that really scared me. kasi sobrang nana/puzz na ng throat ko.... as in.... kaya pala when i talk, ang sakit na sobra, to the point na nanghihina ako just by talking?! ayan, ang ending, another set of antibiotics... grabe na ang gamot ko talaga sa katawan. 90% ata ng katawan ko, GAMOOOOTTTTT!!! :(

i kept my whole day free for today cause my doc said that i cant talk. so wala akong tinanggap na work, diba? kasi wala naman kaming trabahong hindi nangangailangan ng pagsasalita diba???? so, thought that was the chance for PEX!!!!!! at pagkagising ko, nag-log na ako kaagad, pareho kami ng sis ko, si paula.... at ayaw naman magbukas ng PEX????!!! :( gusto ko nang magwala talaga kanina kasi sayang yung time, diba??? kaya lang hindi ko talaga alam bakit sa ganitong madaling araw lang madali pumasok sa PEX... so what did i do??? eto na ang tinatawag na buhay-BABOY. after waking up at mga 11am...i ate muna to be able to drink my medicine, tapos humiga ako ulit ng mga 1...tapos medyo nakakatulog na naman ako kaya naisipan kong ituloy tuloy na ang pag gising by PEX, but it didnt work so humiga ako ulit, at tulog ako till 430pm!!!! bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!! yuck!! ang baboy ko noh?? heehee... just goes to show how tired i really am....

by the way, if my being sick is getting me sad... well, i just thought of sharing with all of you naman one of the highlights of my week.... this one made me happy!!! :) i finally met 3 PEXERS, na as in live ha??? Princess_Hayes, Zenithcute and dyndrea!!! Tara, thanks for the letter. you dont know how much letters mean to me...kaya kahit pabahain mo pa ng sulat ang abs-cbn, hindi kita papahuli sa guard! oo nga pala, i have a suggestion sa to the maxthread... yung gagawa ako ng bagong message board para sa MAXERS at sa mga friends mo dito sa PEX kasi napapansin ko bumabagal nang bumabagal ang pex. so at least kung may sarili tayong message boards, hindi tayo made-delay na bumati-bati if ever tinopak ang pex. tell me what you think... im asking for dyrek's opinion also.

If you want more infos about CTS,i think i can help you.I posted some infos here previously when you mentioned bout it. Were you advised to undergo PT?That will really help coz a lot of patients who undergo PT first doesnt have to have the median nerve surgically released. A wrist splint will also be a great help to keep the wrist in neutral thereby not compressing the nerve.That is why you are not advised to do excessive wrist motions like up and down coz that will just compress the nerve therefore producing the symptoms like numbness,tingling and weakness.

I think it's a good idea.. better idea would be if a site for her can be put and made.. and just make subpage for TO THE MAX... that way her own site can be really personalize and not so hard to get into.... i do agree with TTBOY, madami nang MB's... but what will make RICA's MB or site different from the rest is.. it has a personalize touched.. bcoz she does answer questions personally anyway... idea lang po... thanks! :wave: kixee
