I believe Miss Kixee. I think she was just caught in the line of fire between the two networks. Naniniwala naman ako na she didn't do that with malice or as a means to spite ABS. Siguro what she do for now is charge it to experience na lang. It's sad lang talaga when people become the "scarred commodity" in this dog eat dog network wars.

Una, many were asking before kung bakit napayagan akong mag-guest. ang masasabi ko lang, is that, channel 2 allowed me. may pinirmahang consent ang dos sa pag-guest namin ni BJ sa kabila. dun palang, i guess hindi naman mali yun kasi may written form pa na pinayagan kami ng station kung saan ako nagtratrabaho. Pangalawa, yung pagsabi ko ng Marinara sa bus, was a big JOKE. natural, nasa GMA 7 land ako, eh malamang, puro shows nila ang usapan dun. the marinara thing wasnt supposed to be for tv. i was joking around with sina paolo. it just so happened na they aired it. and i didnt even know, or should i say remember na may sinabi pala akong ganun. Pangatlo, yung pagsabi ko ng number 1 sila, yun, alam ko nang on-cam yun, at hindi naman ako nahihiyang sabihin yun dahil YUN ANG TOTOO, at ang opinyon ko. that was said without any malice. not to spite dos, nor the bosses of my own network. kung kayo ang nasa posisyon ko, na parang nanggaling sa retreat na life changing nga naman talaga, you probably would have said that. i also saw the team work of sina Paolo there, kaya ko nasabing alam ko na why they are number 1. and take note ha, ang sabi ko, i know na why EXTRA CHALLENGE is number 1, not channel 7?! its because of sina paolo, Phomela, and their staff. na even ang mga hosts ng show ay naka-economy lang pauwi, habang kaming mga guests, naka-business class. upgrading ng nanay ko sa airplane, si Phoemela pa ang nagaskikaso. ang pagkain namin, si Phomela din ang nagasikaso. si paolo, ang tumatayong leader ng lahat kaya organized, in that aspect, talagang napabilib nila ako dahil coming from a big-budgeted station, nagulat ako na kahit pala nagtitipid ka, kakayanin mo lahat basta mahal mo ang ginagawa mo.

Sa lahat ng ito, BIKTIMA AKO. i was a product of this big war between 2 networks. i never thought na mali na pala ang maghayag ng tunay mong opinion sa buhay dahil lang magagalit ang ibang tao? nakakalungkot isipin, na kailangan mo itago ang gandang nakikita mo dahil lang takot kang may magalit sayo. hindi ako papayag na mali ako, dahil talaga namang hindi. at please, wag nating i-compare sa endorsement ng pepsi ito at coke ha? kasi, hindi ko sinabi duon sa plug na number one ang channel 7. kung yun ang sinabi ko, talagang mali yun kasi may shows ako sa dos. but in my case, i didnt say anything to be of something against sa mga shows ko. hindi ko sinabing mas maganda ang SOP, STARTALK, at kung ano pa man ang katapat ng sarili kong mga shows. I admit, pangit ang naging dating. also because of the way they edited it sa kabila. had they put the things i said in the right sequences, hindi siguro nagmukhang "parinig" ito. kay nga after all, ako, ang biktima dito.

anyway, my attention was called after the airing, at pina-pull out ko agad ang mga ayaw ng istasyon ko. i said sorry, and i am really very sorry to my network, kasi na-hurt ko sila. kahit sa inyong mga kapamilya na nasaktan. i never meant for you guys to feel that way, but i guess, ganun nga lang siguro talaga kung mahal talaga ako ng channel 2, then natural lang ang magtampo. sa point na yan, naiitindihan ko ang mga kapamilya. but it was also an eye-opener to both parties, kasi, ngayon, alam na namin na kung gaano pala kami kahalaga sa isat-isa....

ill be on EK today, and also ASAP on sunday. after which, ill be suspended for two weeks. sinabay din nila ito sa pag alis ko for australia, am leaving on tuesday till sunday ako dun. pag balik ko, one week pa to go bago ako bumalik sa trabaho. okay din, kasi parang nakakuha ako ng bakasyon, biglaan nga lang. (which means more time for PEX! :bleh:) i think thats fair enough hindi ba?

para naman sa mga taong bumabatikos sakin at makikitid ang utak na hindi pa maintindihan ang mga pinagsasabi ko dito, eto lang, MARUNONG PA BA KAYO SA DOS? ANG DOS NGA, PINATAWAD NA AKO, SINO NAMAN KAYO PARA MAG-INARTE PA SAKIN? hahaha. natawa ako sa sinabi ko, pramis!!! :toofunny: nakakatawa kasi yung ibang tao, kala mo, sya mismo si mam charo santos kung magalit?! hello??? at para sa mga taong may kabobohan talaga at di parin maintidihan ito, gawin nating ganito ka-simple. nagtratrabaho ka. may dumating sayo na trabaho at ang bayad ay sin-laki ng bayad sayo sa pag gawa ng isang pelikula, di mo tatanggapin? aba, eh ***** ka kung hindi mo gagawin.

Kixee, it was clear from your post how much you enjoyed your experience. And how much you found the cast and crew of EC nice and accomodating. On second thoughts, knowing na alam nila how much you enjoyed working with them, ganito pa ang isinukli sa'yo. I'm sure aware sila kung ano ang consequences kapag in-air nila *** mga nasabi mo. Discretion naman nila un, if they want to put it in the final cut or not. And they chose, to include it. Now that you are suffering from the consequences of their action, will you still say na nice nga sila? After making them feel how much you appreciated the time you spent working with them, this is what they give you in return. Inisip kaya nila kung anong pwedeng mangyari sa'yo? I guess not. If this is their way of attracting more viewers, I pity them. Ang saken lang, maybe at some point, may nagawa ka ngang mali... But in the end, it is not you who should be blamed. They have the means para icorrect yun..Decision ng production team kung ano *** sinasama nila sa final editing ng isang episode. And during such procedure, they should try considering several factors. Maybe, if someone gets hurt for what they show is not a factor to them. It disgusts me coz this is how the network war has made them feel and think..

ABS-CBN suspends Rica Peralejo

ABS-CBN last Friday suspended young actress Rica Peralejo for two episodes of each of her four regular shows on the network for making an on-air compliment on a show on rival GMA Network where she appeared as a guest.

Rica's suspension takes effect Monday, her mother, Alice, told Inquirer Entertainment last Saturday.



Rica is seen regularly on ABS-CBN's "Okay Fine Whatever" on Mondays, "ASAP Mania" on Sundays, "Mangarap Ka" Mondays to Friday, and "EK Channel" on Saturdays. Her suspension means she won't appear in two consecutive episodes of each of the four shows.

"Rica is very sorry," said an apologetic Mrs. Peralejo. "She didn't mean to hurt anyone with her statement. We can never bite the hand that feeds us."

The mother said the network imposed the disciplinary action on Rica because it "got hurt" when the actress told the staff members of GMA's reality TV program, "Extra Challenge," "that's why you're No. 1," in reference to the staff's professionalism.

Rica and her boyfriend, actor Bernard "BJ" Palanca, joined "Extra Challenge" on a two-day trip to Bangkok, Thailand, last June. They competed against actress Sunshine Dizon and her model boyfriend Frank Garcia, and boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinky.

"Extra Challenge" had run Rica's "that's why you're No. 1" comment as a teaser to promote the show's Thailand episodes, which would be aired until July 17.

Inquirer Entertainment earlier learned that ABS-CBN executives were so displeased that they wanted to kick her out of the network. "When I heard that, I called them almost everyday to say we're sorry," said Mrs. Peralejo, who refused to identify the executives. "I explained to them that Rica's statement did not have malice."

Mrs. Peralejo said she acknowledged that the disciplinary action on Rica was "a fair punishment."

"It was only right, so I accepted it," she said. "If they would not do that, then anyone could say hurtful things and get away with it."

She said she partly blamed herself for what happened. "I know how sensitive ABS-CBN is when it comes to these matters," she said. "I'm sorry I overlooked that. Still, Rica didn't say anything against anybody. She merely stated an opinion."

She said Rica had praised the people behind "Extra Challenge"-even if on the air-because she was impressed with their professionalism.

"Rica just felt that these people work really hard for their show, from the executive producer and hosts to the cameramen and utility personnel," Mrs. Peralejo said. "She's like them in many ways, she's very professional."

Mrs. Peralejo said she had asked "Extra Challenge" to change its teaser, and the program agreed.

She also admitted that she had personally called "Extra Challenge" last May to ask if Rica could be a guest on the show. She said her daughter was "not too busy" with her two ABS-CBN shows then-"Okay Fine Whatever" and "ASAP Mania."

"'Extra' immediately bought tickets for Rica and Bernard and arranged for their working permits," she said. "By the time everything was ready, Rica was already appearing on four shows on ABS-CBN. But we couldn't back out anymore because we already gave them our word."

She said said her daughter was touched that the hosts took good care of the show's six contestants. Paolo Bediones co-hosts "Extra Challenge" with Phoemela Barranda and Ethel Booba.

"Paolo convinced Rica to eat crickets," Peralejo said of one of the challenges the three pairs had to go through in Bangkok. "To think that she's scared of insects."

She said Rica wouldn't stop talking about how dedicated the entire crew of "Extra Challenge" was, especially the cameraman assigned to shoot her and Bernard. "The cameraman followed them all over Bangkok even while his nose bled because of the heat," Mrs. Peralejo said. "Rica simply identifies with these people."

She pointed out that "in all the nine years that she has been with ABS-CBN, this is her first offense. She's always on time, she comes to her tapings ready with her lines, she brings her own stuff and she goes to work even when she's sick."

:*) I don't want to judge the sincerity of the kindness that Paolo,Phoemela and the EC staff had extended to Rica and company but one thing is clear in all these brouhaha, the Kapuso channel saw an opportunity to spite ABS-CBN and they grabbed it! Never mind if it is at the expense of Rica who has nothing but high praises for their program. Forget about respect for their guest. It is such a nice way para mapikon na naman nila ang ABS. And they succeeded. GMA 7 wouldn't waste an opportunity like that.

And to RICA: It is not wrong to express an opinion. That is everyone's right. Besides, though I don't watch EC, I can see it when I browse thru channels and I do believe it is a good show and they're being no.1 naman is a fact. Yun nga lang, your opinion was taken out of context and was obviously used by channel 7 to annoy ABS. And sadly, artists like you are caught in the middle of this network war between ABS and GMA. Kaya siguro kailangan din maging cautious especially if you belong in either channel. But frankly, when I heard about this, I was somehow disappointed and a bit hurt. It is but natural since I am a Kapamilya supporter. But...I believed naman in you. I knew you are such a nice person and whatever you said, it was not to spite ABS and you have no intentions of hurting them at all. I know you'll never bite the hand that feeds you (like some people do). I don't think you're that kind of person. I totally sympathize with you. Is't so hard that 2 networks have to fight like this? I mean it's also sad na they manipulated what you said by eairing bits and pieces of it.... that abs is sensitive is an understatement.

in fact it's not sensitivity at all that drove them to suspend rica. it's INSECURITY. why would you do such a thing to someone who's telling the truth, or who's just saying what she feels. indeed, why would you do such a thing to a KAPAMILYA?

agree ako sa mga sinasabi ninyo na rica was just telling the truth and she shouldn't be punished for it, but let's not forget that showbiz is a business. lalo na ngayon na sobra ang competition between ABS and the other station, gagawin at gagamition ng kabila ang lahat para lang masiraan ang ABS and it's unfortunate that it's on the expense of rica paralejo. ABS also used rica as an example to show other stars not to make the same mistake, she even said this herself para siyang anak na pinagalitan at pinarusahan. let's just look at her 2 week suspension on the bright side, at least tinama nila yung first week na wala talaga si rica sa bansa and she could use the second week to rest dahil dami rin niyang ginagawa.
