Hey!

I'm currently a student at Pratt Institute in NYC. Im trying to fullfill my last liberal arts credits but I want to do it abroad in the Philippines. I'm interested in learning more about filipino culture/art, and would love to take classes. I was wondering if any universities out there offer part time enrollment. I'm not familiar with the school system but I can tell from what I've seen that there are a lot of school pride! I wish I did, hahaha. Thanks in advance for you help!

I think the three big universities (UP, ADMU and DLSU) allow cross-enrollees. Why not inquire at each respective university? You might want to take Filipino Literature for Foreigners at Ateneo de Manila University. Their website is www.ateneo.edu.

Goodluck and if you ever reached Philippine soil, do try balut hehehe.

thank you very much! yes those are the schools my professor in Philippine and US comparative forms class said to look into for more information. I went to their individual websites but I wasn't able to find information if they were offering non-degree classes.

My professor one of the reason why I was thinking about doing classes in the Philippines. Jonathan Beller? Maybe you guys in University of Philippines and Ateneo might have come across his name. He taught at UP and I believe published a book in Ateneo's name. Very intelligent man and well educated in Philippine politics/fine art/culture and theory.

P.S. I've heard about the balut. Im curious to say the least!
