actually this is a friend's problem.

my friend has extremely shiny and healthy hair (he's a guy, btw). it's an F4-length of hair. a few months back his gf made him try this salon run by a korean guy, and for the first visit all was well. the korean guy suggested that for his next visit, they'll put a wave style on my friend's hair. so after a few weeks, thats what they did.. except, the outcome was nothing like what was presented to my him on the picture! instead of wavy, his hair became curly! as in small curls (think lizzie mcguire movie's gordo). naturally my friend was very much dismayed. two days later he had his hair straightened in the same salon. we all advised him against this, but he refused to listen as there was an important occassion coming up and he said in no way will he show up with that hair (he keeps calling it madam auring's archie look)

now my friend's hair looks really dry and damaged, walis is what my friend's gf referrs to his hair now. what treatment can you recommend to my friend? ive heard of salon de manila, kerastese, H salon.. pero what exactly should be done? haircut ba muna or treatment? and meron ba take home treatments, if any? thanks guys

You go take him to the aisle of the grocery where they sell hair products.

I'm pretty sure something would do the job there.

If both of you can afford it then bring yourselves in a salon.

Is it that hard?

really.

Go to a salon and get keratin treatment... it will replenish the missing proteins in the hair.

There's only so much you can do to repair damaged hair. I would recommend that he stay away from more chemical treatments and just let his hair grow out. If possible, he should probably shave it off before growing it out because if it's terribly damaged, the hair that's growing out could get split ends, etc.
