In your opinion, how important is having a high QPI/GPA after graduating from college? Is it the main basis of employers for hiring new graduates? Also, if you're an employer, what impression would you get from graduates with very high grades?

Or, does participating in extra-curricular activities more important than having good grades in college?

So, what do you guys think? Even my father doesn't believe in grades. In fact, whenever I would read my books, he would tell me :"Ano ba yan , aral ka nanaman ng aral". He even told someone na he preferred a daughter na hindi nag-aaral kesa sa pala-aral.

Some employers use college grades as a criterion. The most notorious of them will not even look at your application unless you have latin honors.

A certain company in Ortigas will only entertain you if you have a CGPA higher than 3.0 (for 4.0 highest grading system) or 2.0 (for 1.0 highest grading system)

Depends. If you are a fresh graduate with no work experience whatsoever, some companies use grades as the basis when considering you.

I agree with Ice Burn.

If say your GPA is in the low side, good extracurriculars can 'hide' your low GPA . I remember an applicant whose GPA was underwhelming but he did run and lost for a governor position (or was it vice gov) in his home province. He scored an interview.

Yes. You can't prove to them "well-rounded skills" and "great leadership skills" without showing your TOR.

it may matter if and when you apply for admission to grad school abroad.
