Dizzy_Already: I love this phone too kaso I'm thinking of other phones with the same features... Kasi di tumtagal sa akin ang slide up phone madaling masira sa akin. If you are buying the SE W850i coz of it's feature, I suggest trymo yung W610i... Stick phone sya... Tsaka ganda ng kulay satin black... Ang fall back lang ala syang 3G.... Kung ako bibilin ko n un...

Try this alternatives:

W610i - http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=sg&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10747

W950i - http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=sg&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10391

W810i - http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=sg&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10376

These are my other choices...

Hope I have been some help...

I now own a W850i and can totally relate to your concerns.

I too was concerned about the slider phone transition because I've never used that form factor before. I always used candy bars, with my most recent phone being a W800i (cool phone, really).

Texting can be tough at first and the navigational pad of the W850i can be cumbersome at times. There's always a chance that you'll press the wrong button, especially if you've got big fingers.

Hmm, the camera isn't as great as the W800i or the W810i because it does not have auto focus, which I really really miss. Auto focus is a big help when you're taking pictures and the lack of it is really a bummer.

Of course when it comes to music, the W850i does not disappoint. Music is clear, the Walkman 2.0 is cool, especially since you can display album art (nifty nifty! *okay* ). There's also a standard 1GB MSPD that comes with the package so you can start loading your favorite songs.

And since it's a 3G phone, you download files, web pages etc. at a much faster pace compared to 2.5G phones and video call is definitely cool. *okay*

If you're not itching to join the 3G bandwagon, or not ready to leave the comfort zone of a candybar form factor, I say choose the W810i.

Although choosing the W850i won't hurt, either.

I hope I was able to help.

W610 is just a repackaged/minor-improved W810. It's non-3G and has the old 176x220 resolution.

i try to look on some price of this phone in makati, greenhills and some sm malls..prices are 22k(SE authorized dealers,1yr parts and service warranty),<18k(sa mga SM malls,1yr service warranty sa store at minsan add +500 for 1yr parts) at 17k flat(sa greenhills at makati celphone tiangge, minsan 1yr warranty sa service but most are 1month ***).For me its a worth to buy na,wanna try 3G tech and maingat naman me when handling celphones.

just bought the phone last day.parang walkman in disguise yung phone kahit ata sa construction sites ka you never miss a call or sms e and it comes with a free 1gb memory stick which i consider on buying a larger capacity someday.happy with the phone kaso mdyo pinag aaralan ku pa para indi ko mpindot yung orange button na nag activate ng walkman function nya, which is a disadvantage to me who have big hands.pro enjoy naman sa features and looks nya.
