CAN MY UNCLE SPONSOR ME OR NOT? TNX...
You can sponsor relatives or family members from abroad if they are:
*your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner 16 years of age or older;
*your parents or grandparents;
your dependent children, including adopted children;
*children under 18 years of age whom you intend to adopt;
*your brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces or grandchildren who are orphans; under the age of 18 and not married or in a common-law relationship; or
*a relative of any age if you do not have an aunt, uncle or family member from the list above who you could sponsor or who is already a Canadian citizen, Indian or permanent resident.

The English part is written badly and it is unclear; the 5th '*' is somewhat contradicting, because it's mentions "an aunt, uncle or family member from the list above," but the words "aunt or uncle" are not mentioned anywhere above. I would apply anyways.

From my understanding of "5:
Yes, he can sponsor you!
- you don't belong to bullet #1
- you don't belong to bullet #2
- you don't belong to bullet #3
- you don't belong to bullet #4 because you are not an orphan nor under 18 and unmarried. (if you are under 18 and unmarried, then this can apply to you)
- he can sponsor you under bullet #5 because he has no aunt or uncle or other relatives (belonging to the category stated in bullets 1, 2, 3 and 4) to sponsor.

^^Shuuuucccks! Thanks! Also to biomajor81! That's what I think also. But just to clarify..he has a brother here sa Pinas pero 45 years old na and may sarili nang pamilya..so hindi sya qualified under bullet 4 diba? I qualify as ANY relative since he doesn't have an aunt, uncle, or family member from bullets 1-4 whom he can sponsor or who already is a Canadian citizen/permanent resident/Indian (well..he has brothers there and my grandmother..his mother who are all Canadian citizens na)..so I qualify right? Sheeet pasensya naaaah! I just need to make sure kasi baka maling process ang maaplyan ko. Thaaaaaankkks!!!!

No, because that brother is not under 18 and unmarried

EXACTLY RIGHT!

hmmm.. parang nagkocontradict ang mga sinasabi... ano ba to? medyo magulo ang last part kasi *** 4 bullets related sila which means na yan *** mga qualifications na pwede kang i-sponsor papunta sa abroad ng isang tao.
pero sa pagkakaintindi ko sa 5th bullets was.... any relative of any age na hindi uncle/aunt at family members ( belongs to immediate and extended family ibig sabihin) na hindi na mention sa 4 na bullets eh pwede niyang i-sponsor or...any canadian/indian at permanent resident ng isang country.
hay...hope this one helps...basta certified kadugo ka niya eh pwede....:bashful:
