Based on what has been said somewhere, he's interested in playing for San Beda, Ateneo, and UP.

Well, it's still five months away from the real heat of recruitment so it's quite a a bit early to discuss any happenings with regard to recruitment around the league. But feel free to share what you guys know.

Kung tutuusin, tatlo lang ang mawawala sa line-up niyo, pero meron na kayong Camus, Suguitan, Galinato, Castillo at Sarangay na naghihintay sa Team B.

Hindi pa kasali dyan yung tatlong Red Cub na sina Marcelo, Lanete at Padilla.

Hoarding na ang tawag "kung" pinagpilitan niyong manatili sa inyo si Malabes. Buti naman at hindi. Punishable by law ang hoarding! :D

Sama niyo rin sa listahan yung anak ni Koy Banal na kasalukuyang nasa FEU Juniors at ga-graduate sa Marso.

Dapat din asahan na may mga walk-in pa. Napakarami na nyan...

Going back to the topic, ngayong inaalagaan na ng San Beda ang Red Cubs nila, lagi na silang lamang pagdating sa new recruits dahil sa husay ng programa nang Red Cubs nila.

Sa palagay ko mahirap na maagaw sa inyo yung Junior blue chips -Marcelo, Lanete at Padilla. Unless bigyan yan ng ibang paaralan ng outright spot sa Team A plus heaven and earth.

At huwag rin kayong magulat kung sa pagbalik ni Escobal galing bakasyon sa hometown niya sa Davao, may dala na yang maikling listahan ng mga gustong maglaro dito Maynila at unang magbabakasakali sa San Beda.

Dapat maki-tsimis ako pagbalik ni Escobal galing Davao.:hmm:

Yup. I heard this guy Malabes is one of the most promising and talented players of the current DLSU squad who is projected to contribute immediately and be an "impact player" of the Green Archers.

I just don't know the real story on why Malabes suddenly transferred from San Beda to DLSU.

It is almost sure that Dave will play in the seniors. In addition to the fact that he himself intimated that he would like to play as a Lion, the Boosters Club of SBC has placed Dave on the top of its list. He has been assured of a slot in the much coveted Team A.

Lanete's brother (one palying for UV) has told the Boosters Club that his brother would be suiting up for SBC next year.

I have no news on Padilla. But Coach K has stated in one of his interviews that the kid will be playing for the seniors next year.

The question is- will Lanete and Padilla be included in Team A as early as next year? Only four slots (max.) are up for grabs. Two (2) of the said slots will be given to Dave and most likely to Chris. How about Mark, Eric, Du, Chico, Kevin and Castillo?

I also heard that Kirk Long of Faith Academy is being eyed and try-outs organized by the alumni association in LA and Washington will be conducted this year.

Graduating are Angeles, Maggay and Antonio.

Then, do not expect Hermida and Canlas to be fit to play by opening day of Season83. Kaka-opera lang nitong dalawa. The best case scenario is that they'll be cleared to join the team practice in 8 months, that will be sometime June 2007. Best case scenario yan. But if you have to be conservative, mga 12 months ang recovery from those surgical procedures.

May pang-anim ako. Kutob ko Espinosa will be relegated to Team B next season to make room for the talent patiently toiling at Team B.

I'm sure SBC, now on its winning ways, will be attractive to the top HS ballers in the country. Isa sa mga reasons kung bakit umaalis mga Cubs at walang gusto maglaro for SBC before eh dahil hindi sila naaalagaan

Anthony Servinio might shed some light with regard to the recruits of the other schools.

As for SBC, Badeer was supposed to be part of the Team A lineup of Nash Racela back in Season 81 but for some reason that I shouldn't disclose, he went to DLSU instead.

Kirk Long of Faith Academy is also being eyed by Ateneo.

I think wala pang masyadong aggresive recruitment ang other schools sa NCAA, kung sino lang yung available, that's it na lang unlike sa San Beda. SSC na lang for example, unlike during the previous years wherein maganda ang recruitment nila pero ngayon wala na. Sa Letran naman, siguro mga 2 to 3 years pa before they can become a championship contender since wala masyadong magaling sa Squires unlike nung time nila Bautista who eventually played din sa Knights. JRU looks competitive pero malayo pa rin to consider them as a championship caliber team. Perpetual might also be good if the reports are true that they have some quality players from Indonesia yata or Malaysia. But still, the barometer pa rin is SBC kung baga, if a certain team can beat SBC, then they can be consider as a threat. Come next season, all experts agree, even none SBC supporters, there will be no changing of the crown unless upset of major proportions happen.

He is graduating but still has a year left in his eligibility. If he said he will play next year, it's probably his intent. He can enroll for a second degree and meet the requirements for eligibility.

Pero ang tanong, "Kukunin ba siya ni Banal?".

I seriously doubt that.

Having Maggay or even Antonio (same as Maggay, may still play if he enrolls for a second course) in the Red Lions, is like the case of "over staying generals" in our Armed Forces. It will create discontent and demoralization among Team B players.

Imbes makapaglaro na sa NC', ayun hintay na na naman ng isang taon.

Kahit magaling ka, pag graduate na, move on!

Ngayon kung talagang pulos latak ang nasa Team B, o di kaya desperadong maging contender, sige hawakan niyo hanggang edad 25 yung player o maubos yung 5 years, whichever comes first.

But, IMO, better to give the aspirants their fair chance of being elevated to Team A.

That applies to ALL collegiate players in ALL schools.

Personally, I see no improvement on Taupa. Yes, he can slam the ball---but that's just about it. Malakas lang tumalon. For a team overflowing with young and talented aspirants, waiting for a player to blossom in team A would be a waste of time.

As to Maggay, I think he should no longer be included in the roster to make room for other aspirants.

As to Borgie, if there is no assurance that he can play 100% at the start of the season he should sit it out for next year. Sayang ang slot niya.

Du is injury prone for reasons di ko matanto. I think he will sit it out next season with Kevin.

The duos final year in the Jrs squires was laden with controversies. They almost made it all the way, sayang... na default lahat ng won games nila coz of the stupidity of one ...dun nagsimula magka-watak, kaya ngayon kulelat ang squires.

personal decision ni green ang lumipat ng school... pero kilala ko yung tinutukoy mong pleyer pero silent lang din ako para di lahat mag-expect ng mataas tsaka para di ma-scout kaagad. bigyan ko na lang kayo ng clue he came from the states dapat feu siya papasok kasi dun nag-aral yung pinsan nya pero yung residency matagal (2 yrs) e months pa lang ang nagdaan nung dumating siya so narinig niya siguro yung isan defending champs which is letran so dun na lang siya pumasok tsaka 1 yr alng ang residency. he played hs basketball in japan playing for kinnick and he averaged 18 ppg, 8 rebs and 2 apg as a senior that included him in the all-kanto team (one of the best in the district). he played for san jose city college before transfering to letran. yun na lang muna masyado na akong madaldal hehe. kayo na bahala maghanap ng ibang info sa kanya.

The knights in the just concluded NCAA utilized only their defensive skills to the fullest, as scoring options were only limitted to 2 guys. I think this guy would be the answer.

What we need now is a more reliable center than the present one we have (Faundo & Foronda). And viola, we're back in business!!*okay*

Bonzie, is kinnick a team in the commercial league or a school? If it is a team playing in the commercial league, he might not be eligible to play in the NCAA or UAAP for that matter. Please check this out baka ma forfeit ang mga laro ninyo next season.

Why can't CSB get good provincial or Fil-Am recruits like the other schools, and always have to end up with semi-good to mediocre NCAA recruits? Tsk. kinnick is a school... and correction sa lahat di po siya fil-am before siyang pumuntang states tumira siya sa pilipinas i think for 10 years bago siya nag-migrate sa stars & stripes country.

Moving on, is it true that Perpetual Help has a 6'8" player from Malaysia? And what about those two tall players coming from China staying at the Cardinals' Nest? So is the coach of Mapua Tech, replacing Horacio Lima, Joel Banal or Atoy Co? So many many questions to be answered when it comes to recruitment. And what I just posted here are but a few questions in need to be answered.

That is actually not a bad idea really, in fact the better these imports will be the more it will benefit local college players. Imagine just how our 6'4-6'5 centers will develop if a college team is lucky to land a talented 7 footer from the US for them to play against.

That is actually not a bad idea really, in fact the better these imports will be the more it will benefit local college players. Imagine just how our 6'4-6'5 centers will develop if a college team is lucky to land a talented 7 footer from the US for them to play against.
