What kind of songs do you dread hearing most? Like when you hear it in a public vehicle, you feel like stepping out or making a really grumpy face?

Almost everything on the radio makes me sick.
Why no try some hardcore, some punk, some jazz and some swing? I don't know but would you want to listen more to Ricky Martin 10x a day than Miles Davis or Sick of It All?

I haven't had a chance to listen to too much radio nowadays, but yes, the Ricky Martin song is starting to become a bit repetitive. I would probably include Britney Spears' song -- "Sometimes I hide," if that is indeed the title.

Oh nix! :( I like that "Sometimes" song a lot! :p My taste is getting progressively more... uh... open.

I really dislike the April Boy Regino and Jessica Zaragoza songs. Admittedly, the first few ones were tolerable; but as they release more singles...why do the songs start sounding the same to me?

Hey Mr. Dean!
Same here, I like "Sometimes" too. http://www.roo.com/ubb/smile.gif I haven't had enough of it yet... maybe a few more months to go.

Those ballads turned into dance music are the worst. Song which do not have essential meaning like Witch Doctor, "5,6,7,8" and some Backstreet Boys songs. I dislike April Boy Regino too, Spectator! Aren't they simply annoying?

My most dreaded songs:
DAYANG-DAYANG! (Bwisit talaga when it's being played)
&
Yung "Left, Left, Right, Right, Go, Turn Around, Go, Go, Go!"
Jacob

How about those nursery rhymes they turn into dance mixes?
all those revivals done by Boyzone!

Personally, I find my taste has opened up so much more since getting tuned in to stations that play all types of music. I just find it difficult to relate to songs, just like caths, that don't seem to make much sense or, at the very least, are just plain annoying. That "Witch Doctor" song, for instance (a remake of David Seville/Ross Bagdasarian's 1970s smash), gets on my nerves. But then again, we're the people who sent "Humanap Ka ng Panget" to No. 1. On the other hand, without novelty songs like Weird Al Yankovic's latest Star Wars spoof, there wouldn't be much fun in music either. It's all a question of taste.

Dayang-dayang, ALL songs by April Boy Regino and his brothers, Rockstar 2 songs, Aegis songs (grrr!), that new song by Geneva. Renz Verano's are a bit tolerable, but very funny.
Nyaaaahh!!! Tigilan na yang mga corny songs!!! Stop milking out money from the indiscriminating masa!!!

I really can't stomach the songs by the Venga Boys.. and those songs that they translated to Tagalog.
Take this for example:
ENGLISH: "I'm not superwoman..."
TAGALOG: "Hindi ako si Darna.."
Sounds familiar? Hehehehehehehehe... we have so much more talent than that!!!
Aragorn
Aug 15, 1999, 04:06 AM
My gosh! I haven't heard that "Superwoman" song yet...Darna, huh? Geez!
Try listening to these songs...and see how long you'll last!
Froggy Afternoon---my goodness, sa title pa lang!
Viva la Radio
All songs by Aqua (with the possible exception of the song from Sliding Doors, turn back time)
I love the Way you love me by Boyzone...Eric Martin's version was soooooo much better!
Renz Verano and April Boy's songs. All of 'em!

any song that begs ... u know the kind that makes u wonder if the songwriter ever heard of self-respect? well, if u're the april boys-type, maybe u really have to beg ...
All boybands. They suck! They're just a couple of **** who want to be heard in our repectable society. Period.

yeah, boy bands suck... whose idea was that to reincarnate Menudo anyways???
Almost all recent songs suck. Revivals, translations, hip-hop techno, boybands, jukebox fare -- these are the "songs" I usually hear given the fact that I am captive to the bus driver's musical taste (or lack of it). Makes you think that God will really end the world because of the lack of progress in music.
But well, it's not all bad. Brittney Spears' song really is catchy. Livin' La Vida Loca is danceable. Beautiful Stranger is cool. And (I can't believe I'm typing this) Ronan Keating's song in Notting Hill is not too bad.
But I still think the world will end given our regression. Woe, woe to you inhabitants of Earth!

Ronan Keating's "When You Say Nothing At All" is not half as bad as some of the other remakes that Boyzone has done. I still feel, though, that the band's sound is still very much evident in the song.
Regression is actually a state of mind. For gosh's sakes, remember the 80s new wave and pop? For the life of me, I would never want to relive that time in terms of look, although the music was okay. I mean, the hair! And the 70s! Those pants! It's all relative.
What's wrong with the hip-hugging, crotch-exposing, bell-bottom pants? I wear them to work. But my bosses draw the line at the Afro haircut.
Mister Dean
Sep 8, 1999, 11:14 AM
There's nothing wrong with the pants, relatively speaking! :D I just speak on behalf of those who will find them annoying, or what have you. Personally, I'm happy you get to wear those things, because I look terrible in 'em.
(Maybe I should wear bell bottoms to the EB.)
Hey Don!
What's wrong with the hip-hugging, crotch-exposing, bell-bottom pants? I wear them to work. But my bosses draw the line at the Afro haircut.
It would be great to see in you in the EB wearing what you just described above. So, can we? ;)

Sorry to disappoint all you groovy chicks out there. I won't be able to join your swinging EB. I'm having my mojo checked out.
No, something came up and I couldn't go to the EB. I've always wanted to meet you all, especially the now-famous Ada >;sniff!<;. Wouldn't even be able to watch the La Salle - UST game on TV.
Maybe I'll wear them pants in the next EB. If they're not being dry-cleaned. The fungus there gets kinda itchy after three weeks.

How about Lolly's (of Viva La Radio fame) version of Hey Mickey? Para talaga siyang daga na nag-sque-squeak while singing the song!!!
How about Achy Breaky Heart (don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart, i just don't think you'd understand, o-weee!) by Billy Ray Cyrus. There's nothing worse than hearing the song in a bad mood. Parang gusto mong ibato yung radyo.
How about "Nalasing sa pagka-happy / Di tuloy maalis ang ngiti / Napapasing na lang ako / shoo-be-doo, shoo-be-doo-wah" by Viktoria. I really wonder why she got to be named MTV queen in the first place.
Aaron Carter--dagang tinubuan ng vocal cords. He practically shrieked to death "Crush on You" (originally done by The Jets), and "Surfing USA". I bet, kinilabutan ng husto ang Beach Boys nang narinig nilang daga ang kumakanta ng kanilang hit.
I'd have to agree with the Alarma song, and the disco versions.
P.S. Any song sung by Alma Moreno during her Loveliness days is torture to the ears and bad for the health.

How bout this one song by a Latino artist that goes a little something like this... "A little bit of Sandra in the sun, a little bit whoever all night long, a little bit of Jessica, here I am, a little bit of you makes me your man!" Ok now...talk about irritating!
I hate ALARMA!!!!, too!!! :)
Oh, and any song by a former AngTv kid sucks to me.

parang matatawang kang parang maaawa ka sa sarili mo....parang ang pathetic ng MERON (mwahahaha).
britney spears sounds better on radio....kasi ang expression niya sa video kapag kumakanta...parang nasusuka....sorry sa mga britney fans....
The Rock
Sep 17, 1999, 02:53 PM
The Rock says that everybody pretty much said what was on The Rock's mind. But it seems everybody forgot the all time annoying song, "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine dion. The most overplayed, unhearable, unbearable, destructive song ever! And although The Rock is an Aerosmith fan, "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" was a very annoying song. They made a big mistake recording that one. There's also a lot of Euro-trash that's been entering Philippine shores for a while. Emphsis on the word TRASH. Any of the boybands stink. they are all roody poo candy asses whomust have had their balls squished to have those squeaky voices. The Rock wants to grab each one of them, line 'e, up, grab a mineral water bottle, empty it, fillit with monkey crap, and stick 'em straight up their candy asses! If you smell what The Rock is cookin'!
