JC, sana nag Letran ka na lang! Edi sana nagchampion ka pa kasama nila andaya, enrile and friends.

Arao and Escueta, sana nag san beda na lang kayo!

Ang gagaling niyo tapos sinisisi lang kayo ng mga atenista kaya raw sila natalo! Kawawa naman!

What's with the "na lang" words? If you think your school is inferior compared to ateneo then speak only for yourself.

Likewise, get your facts straight. I'm also an atenean and I never blamed Ford, Yuri and JC. There were some ateneans who might feel otherwise, but we all appreciate what they have done for the team all season long.

tingin ko ibig nya lang sabihin they shouldve gone to San Beda and/or Letran INSTEAD because they couldve had a better collegiate career if they had played for the Lions/Knights.

are you sure they would have better collegiate careers if they've gone to letran or san beda? JC Intal had a great year for ateneo despite the loss, he is a sure top-5 PBA draft pick next season....

si arao at escueta, kahit saang school mo siguro ilagay yan, ganun pa rin laro nila....

anyways ng blossom nmn career nya s ateneo for sure n 1st round pick sya s draft nxt yr. ..

^^ intal would never shine in letran because their "MAIN MAN" ronjay enrile. nun umalis naman si enrile, dami nang established small forwards ang letran like aldave, alcaraz, aban, etc.. medyo magiging stiff ang competition for that spot.

as for arao and yuri, i don't know how hyped these players are considering they went to ADMU but they were really never that good. ofcourse they were good during their high school years as i've seen them beat letran squires that time for the championship. para sa kin nga masmagaling pa sila noon eh. medyo bumaba ang level of play nila when they transferred to admu.

JC Intal played for Letran Squires in HS with Ronjay Enrile, Boyet Bautista and JR Reyes (who once played for UP Maroons in college).

These 3 guys are now in the PBA.

^^not to mention, there was UP's Braganza, who was the sub of Casio at the 2-guard. Meron pa silang Condevillamar, a sub for Yuri, and you got that guy Gomez, a banger inside, to go in either for Baldos or Arao.

I never believed in Arao's capacity to evolve as a star player. He was good during his Red Cub days because he was indeed tall and no one in the NCAA Juniors could match up against him, except JRU's Espiritu, who now plays for UE, but the Red Cubs had outside gunners.

Yuri, meanwhile, could've hit it big. With his speed and good point guard skills, not to mention his improved shooting, he (and not Macky) could've been a sub for Tenorio instead.

Intal, years ago, was the one who scored with a last second stab to nip the Red Cubs for the championship. He was obviously THE top flight material (not that year's juniors MVP; Reyes, I think). With Ateneo, he had to wait till Alvarez and Fonacier had finished their years before he could really show his worth.

Even without this season's championship, this guy will be on every scout's wish list. And I am sure Ateneo's community remains proud of and grateful to him.

Arao had to stay under the shadow of reliables Villanueva and Bugia for a few years. (I think he even had to play forward a few times.)

Escueta? He's a very wily point guard. But Escalona had long been the sub for Tenorio. Now Salamat, leader of the champion Staglets against the Red Cubs is there.

O.T. - Is there any chance Sandy A. will ever retake the reins for the Blue Eagles?

All of them won championships for their school in the UAAP. The point of the threadstarter is that JC, Arao, and Yuri should've stayed in their former schools because they didn't win the championship THIS year.

Regardless, Tenorio, Casio, & Ritualo are Bedans because "Once a Bedan; Always a Bedan." Tenorio and Ritualo are in the PBA now right? What's the point of telling this to them?

JC would had opted to stay if Letran chose Jing ruiz as the Knights' coach nung time na they were still looking for a replacement for binky favis.

I remember La Suspended presenting JC Intal together with then fellow high school seniors Jay-R Reyes, Zachary Estoesta and Martin Urra to the crowd at their post game victory party after winning the 2001 UAAP proclaiming them as the future recruits of the school. Come enrollment time, it was only Urra who signed up. :rotflmao:

Yup.. sinabi nga namin.. pati kay Paras, Magsanoc, etc., etc..

But either way, those Red Cubs star players if they stayed as Lions, they would've won the NCAA Championships too... and they would've landed in the PBA as well... I'm sure they knew it too... I'm sure they know how good they are compared to their peers, and their chances on being drated in the first round, for sure... like paras, ritualo, etc.. they know they would be starters in college... it was a matter on which college they choose to win collegiate titles for... i'm sure San Beda is one of their top lists... i don't know what everybody said but most of them said San Beda is their top pick, even Ritualo... even Menor said that and he almost went to DLSU... kaya nga may mga tinatawag na pirate$ eh... what happened to Menor was kidnapping... buti na lang nakuha kaagad ng alumni natin without paying any ran$om... at least kay Menor, siguradong graduate ng high school.. hehehe...

jc has made a career in basketball when he transferred to Letran.. indeed a good decision, he was my teamate in highschool sa isang school sa teachers village sa Q.C. he was there till his third year, he is coming of the bench sa rotation ng coach namin.. pero magaling talaga yan c JC.. kulang lang sa exposure dun sa school namin.. kaya good decision talaga na lumipat *** sa Letran, and likewise good decision rin na lumipat *** sa Ateneo... pero ang turning point talaga ng career ni JC ay ang pag transfer nya sa Letran... nung third year *** galing na mag dunk yan.. considering 6 foot plng *** nun.. nung nag Letran nga *** nagulat kami dahil tumangkad ng 4 inches grabe... kung alam ko lang eh di lumipat rin ako ng Letran... Arao never had the spotlight from his team in his college career. Except this season siyempre. Pano ka mag-eevolve to a star player kung binabangko ka lang? For the past years he had been the sleeping giant of Ateneo. Hindi siya nabigyan ng opporunity para magpakitang-gilas, ngayong season lang.

Indeed I would say na mas maganda ang magiging career niya kung nagstay siya sa San Beda.

norman black gave arao plenty of playing time in his 3rd year pero ala mashado pinapakita kaya off the bench and bihira magamit. nung 4th year nya, asa line-up sha pero na-ACL kaya di nakalaro. ***** sha nagshine kasi nadevelop nya *** low post moves nya.
