bautista, andaya, aban and enrile obviously have contracts. yung sinasabi nyo wala sila sa current line-up luma na yon dahil may ncaa pa nung panahon na yun and ang letran naglalaro pa nun kaya di muna sila sinali sa line-up.

NO, this is a very big misconception!

The purpose of the Draft is only for the acquisition of rights over a specific player. The teams have no obligation to sign their selections to a contract.

from what i've read, aban and bautista have contracts already.. though aban is in the reserved list of alaska.

espinas as of the moment has no contract with smb yet..

Again, that is very wrong impression. Teams that acquire rights over a player are not obligated to sign him to a contract, regardless of what stage of the draft he is selected. There are cases of first rounders being traded away to other teams just like what Air21 did to Anthony Washington and Mark Cardona in 2005.
