Since we're about to close the season, let's have a look down memory lane and note the various end-game heroics of each of the teams in the UAAP. Starting off with AdMU (in no particular order):
1. The "Shot" - Gec Chia's Hail Mary shot to break the tie and win the semi final rubber match against UE, propelling them to the finals where in they won their 3rd UAAP championship.
2. The "Blocks" - Larry Fonacier's 2 crucial blocks of Game 1 of the 2002 finals, giving them a 1-0 edge over long time rivals DLSU Archers.
3. The "Play" - the Norman Black - Macky Escalona - Doug Kramer play that won the Eagles Game 1 of the 2006 UAAP finals against UST.
4. The "LA Show" - LA Tenorio's two step back threes, one against Adamson and another against FEU during the first round of the eliminations of the 2004 season, thereby giving the Eagles a 7-0 record despite losing Larry Fonacier to ACL.
5. The "Rocket" flies high - JC Intal's heroics against Adamson and FEU this season, making him one of this season's MVP contenders.
6. Chris Tiu does an LA - with the memory of the Falcon's loss against the LA-led Eagles still fresh in the former's minds, Chris Tiu buries a triple to snatch the game away from Adamson during the first round of this season.
So, what are your school's best and most memorable end-game heroics? :)
