Crowd Support: A Sea of Red Lions

Kudos to the Red Lions and to the Bedans of different generations who flocked to the Araneta Coliseum to watch the finals versus the PCU Dolphins!

I am actually envious of the crowd support that your school has mustered through the years of waiting for the right moment to reclaim that lost glory. I hope that my school (CSB) would increase the size of its alumni and attract more students to watch the games. It was hilarious to see the RMC filled with Benildeans back in 2000 (overwhelming the Baste crowd 2-1 plus lasallian players watching) but to see a sea of Red overwhelming the PCU crowd in Araneta inspires you to match that size and animo. I bet that crowd size could match Ateneo's crowd support come Champions League again! Hope you clobber the Eagles and give them indian boys something to be proud of come halftime! :laugh:

In terms of crowd support, who can match San Beda's crowd or who is running second or third in fan support?

In terms of history, passion and commitment to the school spirit, I believe Letran, Ateneo are very close or equally admirable...passion not based on media hype, bandwagon eventualities and game results.

3/4 ng Araneta ata napuno nila. This was similar to the UST Sweep of '93, wherein almost the entire UST campus occupied the Araneta and game 2 of the '98 finals between DLSU & FEU.

crowd support wise, d kami papatalo. naipon ba naman lahat ng alumni ng beda ng 28 na taon, saka lang uli mag c champion!!! as expected, well attended ang big dome..

san rekwa nakapula! ayaw paawat. itsurang asa China ka lang. hehehe!

Madami naman talaga ang students sa UST pero kaya naman tapatan ng SBC students and alumni ang dami nila basta walang monopoly ng tickets. :glee:
